This was a great demonstration. Just wondering if you hVe heard that flicking the BD syringe was bad bc it releases chemicals from the plastic. Would love to know your thoughts on this.
If you are planning to take the rubber stopper out then why not take it out first and just add the saline without worrying about the vacuum and therefore bubbles? Is it so that you can mix it with the vial stopper in place?
The recommendation from certain manufacturers is indeed like that, with 2.5 ml being the standard for some. However, some injectors adjust the dosage based on the patient’s needs, while others don’t change it, even if this recommendation exists. It’s not necessarily because it can’t be adjusted but rather, it seems, due to profit motives.
@drtimpearce you are god. Even though I’ve done my nursing and masters just getting into aesthetics I feel confident knowing I have your videos to watch 😂
@@r.b.7996 It's just intradermal, you could inject a very large bubble and it would still be harmless. Particularly when we're talking about a sterile syringe. Now, let's say you're working in a mechanic shop and a compressed air nozzle get's pushed against you and injects a huge quantity of air into the dermis that is through dirty skin and yucky, that's a problem. Going to cause nasty infection.
If the vacuum is not removed it becomes difficult and slow to aspirate using the insulin syringes because the aspiration pressure will be lower than the vacuum pressure. Also the vacuum negative pressure will pull air bubbles into the aspirate in the syringe from around the plunger from the empty part of the syringe behind the plunger.
Ohhh Dr. Your technique is wrong . You must not shake the mixture in hard way...but..in very gentel way. You must not pull the rubber cover ..this lead to lose of product sterlity.. You must not full all the 1 ml syring with product because you will not control the injection process. easily ...
In this video I'm using 2.5mls of Bacteriostatic Saline mixed with the botulinum toxin & a BD syringe.
Hi doc , 2,5 ml with 100 ub ?
❤
Why do you use Bacteriostatic Saline and not steril water?
What about gas one not powder
@@iraq58 because steril water stings like hell when you inject it
I could listen to this man and watch him all day long. The way he speaks, my brain just absorbs every little bit of information in.
How do you get the metal ring off so you can pull the rubber stopper out?
There’s a round pliers type device sold to remove the metal rings.

Thanks for all. I'm MD and studing Aesthetic Medicine. Regards.
Can we mix 5ml saline in a 50 unit botox vial?
As you've diluted 100UI with 2.5 ml of saline, it wouldn't be 1:1 ratio. Do you keep that in mind? Or you just consider that dilution as 1:1 anyways

I thought 2.5 for 100 u botox
What about for 500 units?
Do you always use 2.5ml? We mix with 1ml. Just wondering if should be diluting more?
Yes its 2.5,urs will be very strong and ur also loosing out in alot of money

Get some knowledge, don't watch this if You don't want hurt patients!
What happens if you inject with a little bubble by accident?
Nothing, as long as the bubbles are tiny.

Who much cost
Since the toxin is in pressurized vapor form, wouldn't you lose some of the product by letting the air pressure release with a needle?
Just curious if you don't neutralize the toxin vial what would happen?

pwede ba gawin yan nang kahit sino?
This is the first time I have ever heard anyone say that the “crunch sound” is not normal. Interesting
Great demonstrate
Зачем открывать крышку во флаконе если всё можно удобно извлечь через первичную иглу ,а потом переставить иглу для инъекций?!
Those 0.5/1ml seringe are bad quality! Try use the ones with a detachable needle and use 30/32G messo needles to inject.
