I must say you’re now my favorite plant person on YT - especially since Planterina is gone. I love you videos and send many blessings to you and your family. 💗✨🪴
As a former Hoya hater I used to always be like they all look the same 😵💫 but now I am a Hoya girly for life. I still get excited about new growth and wishlist plants! Thanks for sharing your collection!!
YESSSS❤❤❤❤ I've fallen HARD down the Hoya rabbit hole in the last couple of months.. 🍃🕳️😅 I've added a few to my collection in February (mathilde splash x2, lacunosa super silver, pubicalyx splash) 😅❤ & there's a couple of fully silver ones that are on my wishlist!! 🥰 It's always so fun seeing everyone's collections!! ❤
Love Hoya! I’ve added a few to my wishlist! Love you and your channel! I just started mine and you and Alice are goals! Gorgeous Hoyas! Happy growing from Florida!
I enjoyed this so much and appreciate you covering your hoyas, especially since you admit not enjoying producing hoya content. Thanks for doing this for us!!❤❤❤
The chicken farm for some reason is the holy grail of the rusty dusty hoya I just love the color and texture so cool Im obsessed!!!!😍 Mine is a super fast grower with a lot of splash keep it 😊
10:00 piece of advice that I think will genuinely help: Sell thoose cuttings and buy yourself a full bushy plant. Raising theese cuttings into any sort of maturity must be a nightmare. Big full plant is instantly rewarding. PS: I know its old video :)
I have a “shrunken Mike and Ike” Hoya that looks similar to the first photo you showed that’s called Hoya Engleriana, however it isn’t as rounded/plump as a leaf - she’s a cutie though, definitely worth checking out!
I was so excited to see your erythrina. I lost mine during the blizzard of 22, where I lost electricity for 4 days. It was always in the back of my head to replace it, but seeing yours, it's definitely going to be replaced. Thank you for sharing your collection!
Gorgeous hoya collection, love them! I love hoya machine, I have one and love the cuteness and ease of growth! Mine hasn't bloomed yet! I love hoya thomsonii for the blooms, wonderfully fragrant! Thanks for sharing your beautiful collection and happy growing 😊
Thanks for a great hoya video! Only to share info and not to brag,my linearis grows constantly. It gets quite a bit of indirect light-it happens to get both natural and grow light. I water it every 7-10 days and yes, it will probably always make me nervous, rn bc it’s so lush I don’t want to lose it!
I like and appreciate you taking your time in presenting this type of video where you not only introduce plants but also provide key tips and your opinion. You just never seem annoyed by questions and/or providing information to your audience. Thank you👏🪴 👏
Can you pleaaaase make videos of all the sinister plants in your collection and all the textural plants in your collection?? Esp the fuzzy ones!! I’d love to hear you say sinister or textural over and over for two hours (being genuine, these are some of my fave traits too!)
I became especially hooked when you did the yucca video. I also have a yucca tree I got from FBMP! I got a little before you did and was so surprised that you got one! I don’t have your beautiful windows but it has been absolutely thriving under a single generic GE grow light in my living room 😊 I absolutely love your plant esthetic although I can’t say I’m as enamored by anthurium.
I’m 22 minutes in and I’m wondering if you tell us about your watering routine? My mil has a 28 yo Crassipetiolata that is in its original pot and she only waters it once a month. She has never had it die. It’s also in a northeast facing window 10 feet back in the Midwest. I had 3 Hoyas get root rot that I bought from Lowes that had been there for long time so they were extremely dry when I got them. I finally got them rerooted and water them when the top 2 inches are dry as my other plants and hoping this will work. How often do you water?
For the Hoyas that you are rehabbing, have you tried putting them in straight tree fern fiber? I’ve had a lot of success with bringing my Hoyas back to life.
i haven't!! but i actually ended up putting both my hoya NGG and my callistophylla in high humidity boxes and holy smokes they perked up completely after 48 hours! i was flooooored
I ve had lots of hoya that that the stem blank for a long time. In octomber i chopped them up and threw them in perlite and all the bare stems now have leaves.
Great question about the trailing hoya blooming without a trellis. I wondered too. I got rid of my chicken farm too. For me, it was just meh. Also, my Hoya Finlaysonii did nothing for almost a year and 2 days ago I noticed a small leaf pushing through, so keep your plant. Maybe it will come out silvery and will be well worth the wait! Love those clemensiorium, especially the second one. I REALLY want that one and can’t find it other than in Indonesia😢
I have several obovata green and splash. I understand about linearis, I had a large 10” pot and it just started going downhill. No matter what I tried to propagate it in it died. I like the Matilda on the trellis. Thank you from a hoya head
isn't that so weird?! my friend actually had a linearis growing super well for 6+ years and then one day all the stems just randomly rotted and she also couldn't get any of them to re-root. it's like they have a self-destruct feature 🤔
I absolutely love watching your videos, I have gotten bitten by the Hoya bug... they're so exciting to me! I love your point of view about plants especially hoyas! I really hope you know how important you really are to us Hoya people...we NEED you 🎉❤
The same thing happened with my NGG. I noticed her leaves were wrinkly even after watering. Took her out, and yep, root rot. I cut her into two cuttings and both have rooted and put out new leaves, but now I'm terrified to try to pot her up again.
I've been getting rid of a lot of my Hoya but Clemensiorum is going to stay with me forever. It's my absolute favorite one. I lost my NGG to flat mites last summer 😔
After watching your alocasia video, i got an alocasia scalprum, and now after this video, I have scheduled a pickup of hoya new guinea ghost on saturday 😂💸
I tried to get my mathilde to trail, but all the new growth just died off and I was told that hoya will kill off any vines that point downwards because they need to climb. I know see lots of people grow hoya trailing, but I just can’t seem to make it work 🤷♀️
it's a term my friends coined that refers to hoyas that are like really reptilian and have a lot of texture and sometimes look dead? it's hard to explain. haha
I just love the Obovata and Matilde, they are my two favourite. I know this video is about Hoya but I can see the micans in the back ground. The original video about them talked about planting in Pon. Could someone point me in the direction of the repot in what looks like soil mix. I love this plant and love to watch anything about it. I have searched it but unable to find.
Hi!! The Micans in the background is actually a different one than my Micans planted in pon. Hopefully I’m remembering correctly, but I repot the Micans in soil in this video- ua-cam.com/video/xn843iA0AME/v-deo.html 💚
So now I'm worried that I have dementia. I remember the couch story but not my favourite plant 😳. I have to take my hat off to you, I'm overwhelmed with all of my plants and both my kids have left home. In the future don't be afraid to accept or ask for help @@unplantparenthood 💚🍃
aww thank you shirley!! it's strange because i definitely feel like my skin has been way more.... luminous? is that the word? 😂 but i've also been breaking out in acne so much since i've been pregnant!
I loove hoyas but i can stop rotting them..i underwater due to fear then i water and the roots. are too dry and they rot, i cant ever find that sweet spot.
Getting close to 200 Hoyas, any plants can get mites or mealies. We just have to treat everything we get new as if it's infested tbh. I inspect, treat & quarantine everything that comes in the door regardless!

Omg, me too!
I've never seen te hoya pyrifolia before but oh my god, she's a stunner!
That Erythrina is gorgeous 😍 😮 The Thomsonii is adorable
I am living for your Hoyas!! My Erythrina looks very similar to yours. Do you think yours will become deeper red?
Love Hoya! I’ve added a few to my wishlist! Love you and your channel! I just started mine and you and Alice are goals! Gorgeous Hoyas! Happy growing from Florida!

Love your T-shirt ;)

Awww hi baby girl! And your hoyas are gorgeous
hiiiiii mickenzie!!
Not into hoyas but you bet I will watch this all through cause it's a Charmaine video 😂❤

I just put my Hoya obovata on a trellis. It put out this thick vine that’s starting to push out new leaves. The leaves are nice and round and firm.
I have several obovata green and splash. I understand about linearis, I had a large 10” pot and it just started going downhill. No matter what I tried to propagate it in it died. I like the Matilda on the trellis. Thank you from a hoya head

Mine gunung gading is completly silver without visible veins

I have a Hoya manipurensis, I love it. I bought for the leaf shape. I’m hoping for luck. It’s putting out two new leaves right now. Wish me luck.
The same thing happened with my NGG. I noticed her leaves were wrinkly even after watering. Took her out, and yep, root rot. I cut her into two cuttings and both have rooted and put out new leaves, but now I'm terrified to try to pot her up again.

I LOVE my chicken farm! But I also love my Macgillivariy(?) Thanks for doing this video cause now I need a new guinea ghost..
After watching your alocasia video, i got an alocasia scalprum, and now after this video, I have scheduled a pickup of hoya new guinea ghost on saturday 😂💸
My Nova Ghost after a year and a half is just starting a new leaf. Don’t give up on it.
My callistophylla also rotted lol. It’s so pretty but like whyyyyyy 😂

I don’t think you have dementia- sometimes I can’t even remember what I had for breakfast 😆
@@unplantparenthood 🤣
The sound of the ridges on the clemensiorum makes me want to listen to a plant asmr video focused on textures 😂
Haven't seen one of your videos for a while and need to tell you that being pregnant is making you glow 😊
aww thank you shirley!! it's strange because i definitely feel like my skin has been way more.... luminous? is that the word? 😂 but i've also been breaking out in acne so much since i've been pregnant!
Yes.. luminous is the word. Stay healthy 😊
The Hoya undulata is really dumpstery looking. I think I want one now.
I root all my hoyas i pon ,it works wonders 😍
I fully understand lack of space. I’m living just over 800 sq ft. And we’re almost at max capacity.
Don’t be scared of chopping off those tendrils, people! It helps getting them bushy and nice 😊
❤

@basieplants has a video about why he won't be using pon for hoya anymore.
i'll have to check that out- thank you!!
feels criminal to be this early Lol
Hi Amelia!❤
I’ll take anyone you don’t want.

You're agressive chop and prop style saddens me😢
