this video is simple and to the point, it's honestly better than the video explanation on the honeywell channel. i hate this thermostat... it came with my apartment and it's so stupid i can't stand it - but this video answered all my questions. i don't want to program it. i just want it to turn on and off when i want.
Thanks, very helpful. I was wondering why after installing this the air conditioner wasn't turning on, it did kick in after a few minutes and now I know the reason. Also the hold button to bypass the programming was also helpful information.
One of the Amazon reviews said the LCD failed after a couple months. How common would you say is this is or how long would you say these are reliable for?
Very useful info, but i just got this thermostat put installed today and i was hoping to use as a normal thermostat (im not intending to program it) i have it on cool temp set at 73° but and on automatic (it stays on hold on the right all the time) but i noticed once it reaches to 73° it will not shut off automatically as i had hoped. Does this sound normal? It did shut off for 10 min and then started again but it has been running for almosr 2 hours without shutting off since then.
