Great review! Excellent analysis! Did you had the chance to compare with the Anker PowerHouse 767?

I have only used the Milwaukee and the Vector 733 watt ua-cam.com/video/V-bi-2hm-a0/v-deo.html. The Vector is better for home use, while the Milwaukee is good at taking your money.

I wonder if DeWalt will try their hand at something similar, when they release their PowerShift Battery tool platform in 2024?

If they do, I hope they make it better and more useful. Thank you for watching and writing in.

Very disappointing to see this unit not perform well. I own 2 of the MX Fuel batteries that I use with a cut off saw. I had hopes for this being a home backup solution. Thank you for your review.

Geoffrey, while not intended for home use, I too though in a pinch I could use it on the frig. You might want to consider the Vector ua-cam.com/video/V-bi-2hm-a0/v-deo.html which has a very stable inverter and ran my frig for 7 plus hours. On the Milwaukee, I ran through both MX fuel batteries cutting and limbing a 40ft tree with my electric Oregon chainsaw. It had no problem running the saw, but not impressed with run-time. Thanks for commenting.

@@cfldriven I need to get more clear on what I need for my intended uses. House backup is my first concern.

@@geoffap0 The Mrs told me she just needed a hot shower and a cold frig, so I took care of the frig w the Vector and suspect the Milwaukee with work fine with the intermittent use of the tankless water heater. Don't want to deal with a petro generator for the 1% of the time we have an outage. Good luck with your research.

@@cfldriven Would the expensive surge protector I bought for my computers work to protect my fridge against the unstable voltage and current if I use this during power outages?
Thanks in advance, for any help on this topic.

What about the Milwaukee 2845-20 the M18 version carry on power station. Does it have the same problem with the voltage drops inconsistency or it’s different improved model??

I bought a 2845-20 and have had it for about 10 months. I’m on the South Carolina coast where big thunderstorms frequent the summer months as well as hurricanes in the fall. My objective with the Carry On was to protect a few small appliances including a KitchenAid beverage center. It’s very simple to unplug from the wall and into the Carry On. I have four 12 amp batteries. After watching this video, I became concerned that I might damage my beverage center and tested the voltage for 12 hours. It never dropped below 124 volts, and the frequency stayed about 59.95. At the 12 hour mark, I still had 2 bars left on the Carry On, so I could have gone for several more hours. So far, the Carry On has been reliable and useful. I have also used it outside on a few occasions where I didn’t want to drag power cords around. It’s easy to move around since the batteries are removable. I would buy it again.

I just got one of my own. I’m actually using it for a couple days on a job site shortly I believe with all the things that need to be done to this. I might just return it and wait for the updated version. Thanks for a great video.

Fred, it great a running onsite power tools, but with lousy run time and other issues, I am surprise Milwaukee is still selling this. Here is another dissatisfied user ua-cam.com/video/6IOanVTYUnk/v-deo.htmlsi=1wD04ucQLj2R7kJq
