She's honest and she takes responsibility for what went right and what went wrong. Being honest and mature about our personal fall is step one. If anyone has a chance to get back on their feet it's Allie. I hope she's housed and recovered asap.

I hope you get away from there Allie. Please. Never stop trying. I’m watching this because I keep hoping to catch a glimpse of our son walking by. He died there just before Christmas last year, right after getting out of rehab for the 4th(?) time. He was such a good, sweet boy..but fentanyl snuck in and he OD’d on the fucking street there. Don’t break your family’s hearts. Leave that shit behind you😢❤We’ll always Love You Son💔

Sorry to hear Jackie. I cant imagine what that would be like. In my mind it is the worst thing a person could experience..if i had 2 options- being diagnosed with a terminal illness or what your going through, i would take the terminal illness. ..Your boy is now at peace but yet you are left suffering the loss of your child. If you were able to sit down with him and talk for 30 minutes, what do you think he would say to you in those last 5 minutes, him ,knowing he had to say goodbye until its your turn. Im thinking he would say you still gotta live your life and i want you to be happy..do it for both of us. He wouldnt want you to suffer .. In my mind i want that boys Momma to have joys and peace like his Momma deserves. She's been through it all...time to smile bit by bit again with him looking down at you. Also check out NDE experiences...it might bring you much peace.❤❤ Bless you and your son.

Yes. Thank you for doing these videos. They are our children, brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers. We love them and we need to do right by them. They’re not bad people they just need the right help. Housing first then safe supply. I know because I’m helping my daughter who is using crack/fentanyl. We need programs that will really make a difference in our lives. I’m the mother and my whole family is affected by this. I’m pretty much the sole provider for my daughter. If we help the drug users then they can give back and be functional citizens and good people. When you receive is when you’re able to give back. 🌈🍄🌹

I'm so sorry to hear about your challenges with your daughter. And I thank you for your comment and insights due to your first hand experience. We absolutely need programs that really make a difference. There are missing components in the current system. You're right, these are not bad people. Most of the individuals I talk to in that neighbourhood are kind, considerate and generous. They seem to have good hearts. May your daughter get all the help she needs and fully recover. Bless you! 💗🙏

Alcoholism - giving up everything for one thing.
Sobriety - giving up onr thing for everything.
Why is the choice so difficult for these substance abusers? Are drugs more important than being with their family and children?

More housing is not the solution. "More housing" just stay in words, there will not be enough housing even if the housing does increase a little over time. It takes a very long time to get "more housing", in fact, it might take forever. By contrast, homeless is in crisis now and right away, people are dying, suffering and aging day by day without a place to call home. So "More housing" is not resolving the crisis of homeless and safety. The only solution is Cheap Tiny Shelter/Cabin/Homes/Boxes/outhouse with the freedom of being able to create heat on one own. Allow burning wood, propane, gas for heat. People who is in need of a home will accept a basic box/shelter/container without power. Tiny cheap shelters/homes are easy and fast to build with nowadays technology. Because it's cheap and it's easy to build, it makes it fast for anyone to get one in time. It's more realistic and more likely to happen, and quicker to resolve the emergency of homelessness.Cheap Tiny Shelters/Cabins/Homes/Boxes/outhouses with the permit to make heat is the solution to the emergency of homeless. In no time, all people in need have a place to call home and stay safe. Please allow people to have small cheap basic shelters to ease the emergency in need of home and safety.

I believe it is more of a Mental Health issue than it is a housing problem. Remember when the government shut down a bunch of Mental Institutions in the 90's? Now many people get on drugs and have no place to go unless you have thousands of dollars to go to a fancy rehab that people cannot afford. Many drug addicts found success for sobriety when these institutions were open. Now we do not have enough mental health workers to even treat regular mental health patients. So many are falling through the cracks.
We need more mental health workers to address the problems of everyday mental health issues let alone drug addiction. There are many with Bi-Polar and Schizophrenia suffering falling through the cracks.
We do have major housing shortages but that is mainly due to rent being way too high for people to afford and with allowing all the immigrants into the country like this present government has done. These people come into the country, and everything is paid for them including dental that we Canadians don't even get. They are the first to get housing as well before Canadians.
I went to the Provincial office and Federal office last week in Mississauga and it was all immigrants that were in those offices. I no longer feel like I live in Canada. We have a very big problem here. I am not against immigration but strongly feel people should go through the proper channels to come here, which no doubt those working in these offices most likely did.
I went there because I filed for my husband's Canadian citizenship papers, they got lost. This application was done in 2023. I feel like I live in a foreign country, not Canada.
Anyway, long story short, this is what I think.
