Friendly reminder to everyone interested in stick spf: they are not a replacement for a regular sunscreen!! To get the spf on the packaging, you will have to go over your whole face approximately 4 times, and even then it might not be enough. They are much better suited for touching up your spf when you're on the go!

I’m heartily sick of Natasha Denona! Every release “leaks” and usually she blames content creators and even threatens them with lawsuits, but it’s obvious they come from her company. This time she just admitted it came from her company. It’s an appalling marketing tactic. If her concealer and palettes weren’t quite so good I’d declutter them, but now I will not be purchasing her products again. I hate it when companies treat us like morons, who cannot through her self-created “hype”

Maybe it’s just me but I love liquid products but they have to be in certain packaging. I like dropper packaging, something like a squeezy tube with a tip applicator to help dispense droplets so I can apply a little at a time. I don’t love applying creams to the back of my hand to warm them up because then I have to wash them and some products stain. Liquid formulas, at least the ones I’ve tried, aren’t as opaque so they fade naturally and wash away easily but I really think it depends on the formula. I don’t love liquid bronzers because I want my bronzer to show up more so I end up using more, but I like liquid blush and highlight.

My sunscreen is my moisturizer layer and even if I use a tinted sunscreen for coverage, I get a light layer of iron oxide protection as well.
I bet that Mario bronzing and shaping product makes the worst sort of mess and gets mucked up from touching your skin.
I am going to buy the Golden palette because I missed out on the Gold palette. I want the new formulae and a monochrome palette I can use with favourite singles and other palettes. I also have the Alter Ego Gold adjacent palette.

I’m going to pass on the entire Kosas live, even though I love love their powder. It just sucks that they go bad in less than a year…I had my mini one for 10 months and had to throw it away because it started to smell like blue cheese and made me feel bad. Funny for me to say that because I was severely chemically sensitive for almost 25 years and appreciate the sentiment of reducing preservatives, it can be helpful to some people. Turns out for me that I am more sensitive to mold/mildew than I am preservatives.

19:33 this is why i like the supergoop one. it's spf 50, so even if you underapply (which you probably will since it's tinted), you're still getting ~spf20-30, which is good protection! the fenty and nars ones are spf 30, though, so that would be a bit harder to deal with

    • @jessabeauty917
      @jessabeauty917 Місяць тому +2

Interesting. I’ve thought this same thing for myself. It seems that the volume of product has a greater impact than the spf number rating. Meaning, it’s better to use more volume of a lower “protection” number than the other way around. Using too little can result in far decreased protection instead of the 97 or 98 percent protection difference in 30 versus 50 on the SPF label. Very confusing. Conclusion. Find something you will wear the correct volume of not that has a higher number in the bottle.

Personally, my liquid products are my most used in my collection by a wide margin. They’re my daily drivers that I repurchase over and over again.
I apply them off the back of my hand with my finger tips, tap them in over sunscreen and very very minimal spot conceal, brow pencil, lip balm/gloss and we’re out the door in under 5 minutes. I know my products super well and don’t over apply to the back of my hand so there’s rarely any left over, basically no mess.
Looks super natural and I can mix whatever blush/bronzer shade or finish (glowy or matte) I’m feeling that day so it keeps my collection minimal.
It’s also almost impossible to mess up, unless you start applying things directly to your face. Which I’ve never done because it just seems silly. Doesn’t save time. Introduces the possibility for error.

you’re always stunning, but you look gorgeous in orange!!! i’m intrigued by saie’s liquid bronzer, but i need to watch reviews on all of these products before i’d ever buy them. the elf jelly pop primer is soooo much better than their power grip. my skin loves glow recipe, and i can’t wait to hear more of your thoughts of it. ooooh,i’m so excited for fenty’s tinted sunscreen and the upcoming kosas blushes!!! the shades look BEAUTIFUL!!! i’ve never tried a powder foundation and idk if it would work on my skin in the ridiculously humid climate i live in. i still want ND’s INAN palette and the upcoming palette looks beautiful. sigma’s cool neutrals palette is still on my wishlist. i’m still an eyeshadow girlie so i’m SUPER excited that clionadh’s singles, fruitlighters, and nail polishes!!! i’ve always LOVED lilac/purple blushes and i’m glad that they’re finally having their moment!!! 🤩🤩🤩

I have a cool olive undertone so everything pulls incredibly warm on me - so I LOVE anything purple, lilac, mauve or plum. so far ive only found shades in K-beauty brands and then a single blush from essence, in their beautiful baked formula. instead of a nudey beige, I go for a mauve, instead of a cool pink, I go for a lilac, so on and so forth. so im really hoping this becomes a trend! though the Dior blush in lilac (I immediately went to swatch it) swatches very weirdly - like the powder sticks together. ive swatched it at every Sephora ive been to because its fascinating at this point. not sure why the formula changed so drastically for this shade, though I know purple pigment is notoriously difficult to work with

Refy’s brow gel is my holy grail and I’m not a fan of laminated brows on myself, I love soft brows. What I notice the difference is with the elf product is the quality and finish of the plastic brush/comb. Refy’s is matte and sturdy. Elf’s looks cheap and flimsy, and has a shiny finish. I wonder how that will affect the formula interacting with the brush and cleaning it. I don’t think the different shaped applicators would cause any difference though.
I know there’s so much polarization abt it, but it’s really not hard to use, you just don’t comb it through your brows like a typical brow gel, you place a very small amount on the surface of your brows. For me, since I don’t like lamination I don’t use the comb, I use the brush to set them and voila! My eyebrows grow in weird directions and soft brow gels (like Anastasia) could never get them into the shape I like. Idg why the creator of refy puts emphasis on how to comb/set the brows to avoid pilling. It’s how much product you apply - I learned the hard way 😂

Hi Kelly! Your eyeshadow is so beautiful. Are you wearing any glitter over the PUR Suede? It doesn't look as sparkly on the PUR website to me. Thank you!

I don’t think the cover girl essence foundation is very tedious. I just blend it directly on my face and it looks the same as it does if it pre-blend it. It’s honestly such an easy product.
The old cover girl foundation is giving me flashbacks of trying to find my shade at Walmart, buying the wrong one and wearing it anyway 🤦🏼‍♀️ I kind of want to try the re-brand. I’m nostalgic though and so I wish they kept the classic triangle packaging and added a doe foot applicator. Triangles probably aren’t a good design for that though.

I'm a makeup artist and I really want the MBM bronzer serum. It has the pump and it looks really light texture on the skin but we'll see! But I'll have to look into it more cause I wouldn't want it with any shimmer I would want matte. it looks so pretty ❤

The Cover Girl skin perfecter was great going on. But it started breaking up on my skin after a few hours no matter what I put under it. It looked terrible on my skin in about 4 hours. It was so promising because it looked so good going on.

I bounced around. I really just wanted to hear your thoughts on ND's new palette.
I saw Charolette is doing something. I finally was sucked in to buy the Cold Snolder palette by Toof Faced. While in Ulta I decided to check out the Charolette stand and see if all of her packaging is as cheap feeling as the lipstick feel. I grabbed the bronzer tester up and was like yep. Idk why this all feels like cheap crap but is given the description "luxe". I'd be more likely to buy a Natasha product at this point. That is pretty unlikely too. Her mini palettes break super easily if you ever decide to gently dust them off and the eyeshadow formula seems to go dry quickly. I'm not willing to spend $70 to find out if the formula endures better in the larger package.

The FDA is cracking down on vegan pigments so a lot of the vegan alternatives that are already approved in Europe and other countries will likely end up being replaced by the older, non vegan options like carmine. It’s a mess, just like how US sunscreen filters are so drastically behind

I've recently been a big big fan of tinted sunscreen (right now cerave sheer tint) with a little kosas cloud set on my t zone so I'm not too shiny. It looks so breezy and perfect for summer imo, and I can slap my favorite blush over it too. My only complaint is my cloud set powder broke recently and I'm not sure when since I swear I didn't drop it or anything, so I would be a little wary if I were to pick up those new skincare blushes

I tried the Cover Girl Skin Perfector, but there's not enough coverage for me, and I'd rather rely on my skin care products. A better product for my 59-year old skin is Jane Iredale's Hydropure Tinted Serum.

I personally don’t think the power grip and jelly pop were the same. The jelly pop was more liquidy and obviously had a scent. But it blended easily into to skin even sry skin. Where as I feel you need more of the grip primer or it needs to go on slightly more dewy skin then it glides over. It’s more sticky than the jelly pop. The jelly pop came back out in the uk a while ago and I bought it again after using the grip and felt it was different but not enough for me to care which one I use. Both give the same sort of longevity with makeup.
