- Exploring An Old Abandoned Chevrolet Dealership *DEMOLISHED*. A while back we joined forces with Stanton's Journeys and explored this old Chevrolet Dealership that closed and would later become a body shop prior to closing for good to be demolished. It was demolished to make way for facilities for a football team. At least the memory of the place was saved as well as taking a step back in time. Enjoy.

Alot of nostalgia seeing those older parts.. sad they all just went to waste. That large box at 4:43 may have been the entire side skin of an Express/Savana van.. when I had mine fixed, it came in a box about that size
Glad i was able to show and share an exploration with yea, brother. All gone now, glad we got to document it one last time
Thanks for the tour, I remember seeing that building a few years ago. Never took notice of it being inuse or not, Had no idea it was scheduled for demolition. Nice railfanning out the window. Can't believe the amounts of parts left behind.

"Well, I wanted to see what was behind this door...
another door!" 😂
My dad worked for merrick chevy there he worked there from 95 to 98 he left there because the management changed he didn't like them bob serpentini took over in 1998 he moved the dealership to Strongsville he made the old place a body shop now the body shop move to Engle road
It is sad that these parts cannot be reused or taken to a scrap yard. So wasteful! My late hubby was a Chevy guy and loved his Silverado's and GMC Sierra's. I love all your knowledge of parts!!! I've had many Chevy's and I remember this dealership! I love all your informative and well researched video's 😊
Awesome video. I had an opportunity to explore a small used car lot dealership. They recently just renovated it into another used car lot. But glad I had the chance to explore it when it was abandoned. Found some used car parts in the garage area.

I'm so impressed with your knowledge with car parts!
Nothing like cars from the the 1950's or 1960's where you could tell a Dodge, from a Ford, from a Buick, from a Pontiac, and so on!
It's like all have gone to that "Cookie-Cutter" shape, so you (pretty much) can't tell the difference! 😢 Makes me sad!
Wow I can say from the start that this was crazy
you should film about one of the last remaining Getty stations in Conshohocken
Awesome video
Nice Find!
Another good video! What a place to be able to go into! It's amazing with all the trash and things left inside!
An awesome exploration video, Wallie! Yes, I enjoy watching all of the content on your UA-cam Channel, though the exploration videos are my favorite. 👍👍👍👍
Awesome Video wallie keep it up buddy :D
Wow great video. Too bad you can't make a deal for all those parts before it's totally torn down
Wallie since the building was gonna get demolished anyway i would've seen if it was ok to snag some of the old computer equipment. I would be so attempting to power that old computer equipment up. Who knows what is on the hard drives related to automotive history. same goes of the old GM manuals. and maybe a couple of those old can coozies lol.
It's an early dealership for sure. The original part of the building with the chimney and the garage dates from about 1952. The back shop was added about '60 and the showroom about '70. Not totally sure that it started life as a car dealership.
I like the older Chevy's and other GM cars a lot - I am thinking about getting an old Chevrolet Impala or possibly a Cavalier as my first car! I am also considering some cars like the Buick Lucerne and Pontiac Grand Prix as options too! It's a shame newer GM cars are not nearly as reliable as they once were - though they do look cool!
Old impalas are tragic rust buckets. The 01 to 12s especially, for some reason the rockers and understructure just dissolve. It’s why there’s so few on the road. Cavaliers are just as bad if not worse. The newest ones are almost 20 years old and unless you find a rare survivor you’re just not going to find one. Those you do find are essentially rotted away. Grand Prixs are pretty much dust in the wind too given they rotted away as bad as the impala. You might get lucky on the Buick, given the average age of a US Buick buyer was 69 years old
@@matthewcaughey8898 I like the old Regals too!
I have heard that - I was mostly interested in the 3800 engine (or the 2.2 for the Cavalier - both absolute tanks!) I was wondering if I could find one not rusted out if I look hard enough - I am in the south after all. I have seen a few...
Cool 😀

Just put money in a Ziploc bag and mail it to the nearby Chevy dealership. So you're NOT stealing the bumper, but you're BUYING the buying it!
I'd recommend googling the price of a USED bumper, since it's not really new (sitting for X-number of years), deppreciation value, before paying up!
Again, you wouldn't be stealing if you paid for the part!
Someone was definitely either squatting or had it as a chill spot, that case of mountain Dew is pretty new, the ravioli though.. was that.. cooked? Or.. no……
1:29 - 🎵Ravioli, Ravioli, give me the Formuoli!🎵 - From SpongeBob!
The books in the blue binders are actually parts books not service manuals. They go for good money on eBay believe it or not. Even if they were on microfilm which GM did later on they’re still worth money. Today’s parts department of course is all computerized.
Money money in that old dealer I hope someone back them got some of those parts

Never understood if it's a fridge in a break room, or some random freezer, I dunno why you need to look. You won't find anything tasty. Infact the term "instant regret" comes to mind...
especially if it's an abandoned freezer full of meat!
So can we leave fridges (and freezers) unopened in future videos? Trust me, your stomach will thank you!
Do you know what the name of this old Chevy dealership? Where was it located?
At one time it was Merrick Chevrolet in Berea, Ohio.
Where was this at
If you watched video he showed it Berea OH
All that money is from where they shot a rap video there.
Were those real $100 bills
Yes they were. Wallie is rich why he left them there. Lol
@@letaloudone He's so rich that he left a few of his own.
I'm a collector of vintage cars I was so loved to have that place. Much better than some open warehouse. It has all the various different rooms. To take care of the vehicles turn the office area into living quarters. Vincent and have guard dogs.
I'm always on the lookout for a place like this for my car collection, and a place for my dogs indoor and outdoor. And I have a lot of both. I can have a workshop and paint shop take care of my classic car collection but no somebody comes in tears it down builds a new building and I'm stuck with no old building for my car collection.
Hello friend Wallie, will you please do an update video when you find out what new place will be built on this repurposed property, also could you make a demolition video of this property when they start the demolition of the old abandoned Chevy dealership also Wallie you should find out if you can have or purchase all of the left vehicle parts and body parts and even some of the old computer stuff as well , love you always like family and may God bless you always hopping to hear back from you soon ✌️🫶😁 🎉👍🏻😍🥰🌟🪅🎂🙊🙉🙈💙🩵💚💚💛🧡❤️❤️🔥
Everything you're looking at in this video was not made in China it's a shame to tear it down and replace it with flimsily made Chinese stuff. People will pay 200% mark up on the new building and it won't last half as long as this one did. Would be better to repair this building and preserve it's non-asian Construction
I watch Scotty Kilmer and he shows the different models of GM that are built in china, I don’t think the quality will ever be there …. Enjoy your vintage cars with their true American V-8 engines ….👍
AWESOME FIND!! This reminds of the AMC dealership I explored a few years back too bad it’s demolished now.
There's enough parts to build yourself vehicles 😮
Now this is Wallie's Kind of video right here!
I'll take the mountain dew since there is no crab juice.
22:06 "imagine freedom" I don't know how to feel about that banner. That's a heck of a find though and cool you were able to capture it before demolition took place.
Awesome Wall
Awesome video! It is not every day you get to explore an abandoned car dealership let alone find an abandoned one. I find that skeleton kinda funny! I agree with you on the Malibu vs Camry. We had a Malibu ,bought it brand new and the battery died 2 weeks later(no joke), we also had some major heater problems with it too. That is why I am a Ford Guy and hence why we have 2 Fords. They have not given us much problems except for maintenance. I am kinda curious about why you like GM? To me their cars and other automobiles are not that great compared to Ford.(I do know Ford has some junk cars too)
Those rafters would have been great to reuse
Awesome wallie something you don’t see to often thanks for sharing
Wow 👌 awesome video
The fake dollar bills were probably for a money booth that a customer would have had so many minutes to grab as much as they can as bills were blown around.
Wow, that Dustbuster manual at the beginning is priceless! I can't even remember the last time I saw a Lumina APV in the wild, or any U-Body van for that matter.
Wow! What a find.
10th comment my dad rented a lumina apv
Happy Weekend still Hope you enjoyed new videos so far Wallie I appreciate it That very Awesome.
Nice place
So far, no actual commercials from the dealer (11:17) archived, but the dealer was mentioned in this joint commercial:
ua-cam.com/video/S3cmhKdeQZo/v-deo.html
Nate is with you wallie B 😊😂
Love your videos
I miss my lumina had to junk it due to lies about maintenance from previous owners and the engine had a bad misfire and was dying
There’s an abandoned ford dealership near me. they moved locations
If I would have took all the one dollar bills
There was a t v show where 3 or 4 companies would bid on demolition jobs. The low bidder would hope to make a profit from whatever they could salvage and resale.
Is the building gone now or is it still there..??and where was it Pittsburgh??or where..
11:18, presuming it was from Merrick Chevrolet/GEO in Berea, OH.
UGGG so many parts! would be great if they was to sell off all of that! SOME times its hard to find things I am sure other places like this have discontinued parts some NEED!
Do you know where this former Chevolret dealer was located?
Berea ohio
Did it move, or did it go out of business?
@@arthurpasseri4590 it moved to Strongsville in the early 2000s
@@MattDaugherty-jd7my Thank you ..
Great video Wallie. Makes me sick the new parts left behind. Those books are worth $$$ also. Includes OBS trucks.
Wow, there were so many good parts in that place!! All of them would have sold to people repairing their existing GM cars!
Must've been a good size building.its crazy that the parts are still there.them parts would be really easy to get rid of and people would use them.
If those parts were not sold or taken somewhere before demolition then that is a pure waste. It is sad how we waste things in this country
Look at the front where it says Ames real big - Wallie
Awesome video
Definitely interesting
There's going to be more dealerships similar to this one in the future. This is awful to see but with the effects of the pandemic and economic issues. Abandoned work places are going to be something of a normal occurrence all over the country. But what really bothers me is the abandoned schools because of really low enrollments and higher drop out rates.
