- Hey guys! Welcome to my 2nd leg aboard American Airlines on my way to New York City for Delta's B777-200LR Retirement Flight across the country to LAX. If you've been following my channel for awhile, you'll know I already uploaded that special flight 8 months ago, but if you haven't be sure to check it out (linked below). As for this flight, pretty typical experience on American and something I've come to expect from them. Nice flight with as good a boarding process as it'll get, slim seats with minimal legroom, no snacks or drinks, no personal TVs, power outlets below in between seats, and an on time flight. I really only chose American to get me to NYC in time for the Delta flight and they totally delivered and my low expectations were met, although the crew was definitely nicer than most mainline crews. I completely agree! Concourses A-D are the best and easy to navigate while concourse E is the most busiest and the worst concourse. Glad to see another flight in and out of CLT!

I don't like paying for the airtrain at JFK. Adds more stress for international travellers messing with foreign machines.

I recently saw you had year in review videos. I saw it for 2018 and 2019. Can't believe I saw it this late. UA-cam must have buried the videos. But I was wondering, would we see them for 2020 and 2021? I know it's been an unusual year. But I was curious.

Other then Concourse E (normans land) I really like flying out of Charlotte.
I have only flown into JFK twice, once to visit NY and a lay over coming back from Puerto Rico. Both times I was flying jetBlue. I have never been to LaGuardia or Newark.
I agree. Concourse E-vil definitely isn't easily accessible like the other concourses. It makes me cringe whenever I have to connect from a smaller city to a larger one through CLT.
Great video Chris! This is a quite decent flight because it’s an Airbus with a large tray table. I like Boeing’s better. Can’t wait for the next video!

I love how on flights without IFE, you don’t see a lot of people using the streaming entertainment but on flights with IFE, almost EVERYONE uses the IFE

Hey JazzGuy I flew American b737-800 to Charlotte then when on the next American flight to Fort Laurdale with this a320 then I drove down to Miami
it's a good video, but though LGA hasn't the size, or, perhaps, the international cachet that JFK does, (I'm a native of CLT but have lived in NYC for almost 40 years), nothing can beat flying up the East River and the thrill of the classic view of Manhattan that it gives you. Just a preference.
Favorite NY Metro area airport....If your stay is on Long Island or in NYC, JFK is best.
If you're in NJ or headed Upstate or to CT, EWR is the airport of choice.
Hey, the DELTA 767 SPIRIT shown reminded me that I have an actual photograph of that airplane taken when it was inaugurated!! Many Delta employee are in the photo AND they cut a red felt ribbon…. The photo actually had a piece of that red felt ribbon framed under glass!!! I am so lucky to have one of these…… I wonder if these are collector’s items??? Anyone know???

I did Richmond va to Charolette in an AA A319 once…took 50 mins the first time second time it was 30 mins

At 9:10 Charlotte Motor Speedway, I have seen several NASCAR tracks over the years while in the air including Chicagoland Speedway, Fontana Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway, ISM Raceway (Phoenix), Nashville Speedway which I saw a few weeks ago landing into Nashville, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Atlanta Motor Speedway, I have been to Kansas Speedway to see a Nascar race and finally Talladega Super Speedway at 35,000 feet. The other tracks I listed I saw either coming into land or taking off from those airports

Something on my bucket list is to visit the FDR Library 'down the road' from Albany near,I believe',Poughkeepsie--ALB would be my choice to fly into,no way would I want to deal with NYC congestion,airport or auto traffic!

How long was your layover? I need to plan a flight that connects at CLT and there's an option for 37 minutes. I wonder if it's do-able. Thank you.
Yah I've done a few of those short connections at CLT, and they can definitely be pretty stressful but it's doable

I hope no one is flying Spirit Airlines right now. Many flights cancelled (over 50%) the reason weather followed by a system outage and then staffing shortages and crews already working timing out. You do not want to have to wait 9 hours just to speak to someone which customer service industry also short staffed as well.

My only experience with NYC airports is with EWR,which I connected back in the day when People Express flew 727-200's and 737-200's at the now demolished East and West Arcades.If I was 'touristing' NYC,my choice would be LGA,the closest to city center. When I witnessed your Covid 19 locator form,I had to remember that Trump was still president at the time,the election wouldn't be for another couple weeks(depending on date of travel)--does seem crazy,to be a visitor from a certain state and have a mandatory 2 week quarantine BEFORE you even start your planned tourist agenda!

That’s a really bad decision AA decided to get rid of the American way magazine for good and I wanna try talking them into reintroducing it, that’s such BS in my opinion. And the COVID forms they make you fill out when you get off the plane can’t stand it, the COVID is getting really annoying! I’m not sure my favorite of the 3 airports in New York as I’ve been to Newark a few times as departing out of there is a nightmare when it gets jammed up because they don’t have enough runways, I’ve never been to La Guardia, but JFK is pretty nice! And yes I agree and would like AA to bring back IFE screens and they decide they get jealous of Delta and United! I like watching movies on IFE screens better than on your own device, even if they were overhead IFE screens : D

Last night, American Airlines canceled my international flight that was scheduled for today, without any explanation or solution. This brought me many personal complications, it is a rude lack of respect. I will never buy a ticket for American again

JFK is a weird airport due to all the terminals separated with different checkpoints at each which is why its weird, I heard both the JetBlue and Delta concourses are really nice (Terminals 2, 4, and 5) but terminal 7 is trash
