Firstly clean surface corrosion on the leads with sandpaper. Second Do not use grease on terminals before connection, grease reduce conductivity and will burn down your alternator. Apply grease on top after all connections made.

Hi I'm trying to jumpstart another car using my Peugeot, I can't find the negative terminal on my battery, do I have to remove the cover to gain access to it?

How would I test the battery with a multimeter if I don't have access to the ground terminal ?

You can't. I was quite shocked to see this stupid cover preventing you from testing the battery when I got my 207. You can take the cover out and modify it by drilling a hole in it or cutting of a piece off to have access to the negative terminal when everything is connected.

Hello ! Do you have the 1.4 HDI ?

@ I changed battery on 1,4 HDI 207 today, Totally different. Battery is covered only by plastic cover, no additional fuses on the top and no need to unscrew the positive terminal. Positive terminal has quick release, no screw. And engine management device is on the left, not right like in the video, and there is no screw latch of battery on the bottom what was surprising. I have changed battery on many cars, 207 with removal of EMD was quite complicated to realize that that part needs to go out as well. And to install new battery is better to have additional person at hand to clear out terminals when lowering new battery in.
