Excellent - the right questions were asked. I'm in that situation at the moment - I'm a runner with a plantar plate rupture and wondering if the after effects of surgery will make running (i.e. marathons) a problem...
@@XxGlaciersOfIcexX So long ago I cannot remember the full details but I managed to avoid surgery by getting orthotics with a met (metatarsal) bar. And I've run many marathons since - but always with those orthotics (and replacement ones as they last maybe three years...). So, all good. If I could get myself something to fix my hamstring, I'd be sorted!
That was an excellent presentation. My only question would be “how do I find a qualified podiatrist Who would be knowledgeable about this injury. For two years I have been getting cortisone shots for Morton’s neuroma. Is there any suggestions how I can find a podiatrist in my area that would not be guessing since even a MRI isn’t always conclusive but would know how to do the examination.
I just got this surgery and went to an ortho surgeon that specializes in feet. He sent me to get a 3d ultrasound. I’ve been dealing w this injury for 2 years. I’ve gone to 3 doctors and people kept telling me that it was very good I went to an ortho as a podiatrist do not do well when it comes to surgery
Thank you! That was a very informative interview!👍
Excellent discussion!

Barry O'Grady Did you ever have your plantar plate rupture repaired? Curious how your recovery has gone. I just had this surgery 10 days ago. Thanks.
@@red1gray how did your recovery go?
how are you making out Barry?
