@@XxGlaciersOfIcexX I thought it would never go away but it did so keep that in mind. I road my bike over 3000 miles from Canada to Mexico this yr at 61 yrs old and never thought Id do anything again. One thing I learned was too much rest is very bad.
Can you recomend a foot dr in the toms river nj area. I have been to two different drs with no relief. They gave me shots, orthodicts, and metatarsail pads ...nothing works. Currently taping down my 2 toe but as soon as I start walking or take off the tape im in severe pain.
How do you know when taping + metatarsal pads are not enough, and you need to do surgery? I just realized that the injury I got 3 months ago is probably a plantar plate tear, so I'm starting to tape my foot daily. Is that ever enough to heal it?
@@dhenderson0786 Mine wasn't a plantar plate tear. It was a subchondral fracture in the second metatarsal (cartilage fracture). Remedy was post-operation shoe for a few weeks and rest. Biking fine.
Very helpful - just diagnosed with this and multiple stress fractures from too much hiking
Glad it helped!
aw man, I hope you're doing well. I see you left this comment 2yrs ago.
I'm getting over something similar, its nasty business.
