Sorry for my voice. I had a bit of a cold while I was recording this. This video is longer than my previous videos. Suddently, it was 20min :) although I try to keep them below 10min. I was considering splitting Anatomy and Pathology into two parts. Do you think it is too long?? Do you prefer having anatomy and pathology in the same video or should I split such videos? Please comment below!

I liked the link btw anatomy and pathology - direct comparing to the normal makes it a lot easier to spot the pathology.

I like it. Keeping both anatomy and pathology together is a great idea. Please keep anatomy and relevant pathology together in next video. Thank you for ur great videos.

I personally think any lecture up to 20 min is absolutely fine. Thanks for your effort.

Anyone dealing with this condition try ribbon taping.
    I SUFFERED for YEARS.
pain all the way up the to the lower back.
    Feels like stepping on pebbles.
Wore the tape for over a year straight.
    My foot is HEALED.
Edit: i was never officially diagnosed with this. I only got xrays and nothing showed up.
    However i exhibited every symptom.
It was either plantar plate issue, or maybe capsulitus.
    Nasty business this injury is.
One of the worst things i ever dealt with bc its a nagging, chronic issue that does not go away.
It put me into depression to be honest.

Is an MRI the only thing to show it. I've had x-rays and she sees nothing but my pain is getting worse

Xray is not for this. Ultrasound would

    Dear Christop
Greeting from Scotland. I am a consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training in F&A Surgery. I am really impressed with your explanations and especially the hand drawing you make with three colours. I must admit I found it difficult to visualise until I saw your coloured diagram of Accessory and True Collateral Ligament. Well Done. That’s great. Perhaps we can work togther at some point in future as I am thinking of making a UA-cam channel for my patients. With my very best wishes to you and stay safe in COVID-19 period. Mr Turab A Syed, Conusltant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon,

Dr. Agten, just found your video. How do you diagnose a plantar plate injury/tear clinically? I've been told I do not have a tear via MRI, but I have the 'V' sign between 2nd and 3rd. The 3rd toe floats and does not touch the floor. Please advise. Thanks.

Thank you for this video. I fell close to 3 months ago and have continued pain on the outside of my foot and knees. Yes, 3 months is about how long it has been for me at this point. I’ve have not seen any specialists. They have decided to request an MRI but it’s been almost 3 months will an MRI be helpful at this point? I have had shocking, lighting type feelings, side foot pain, knees hurt.

Thanks so much. I’m a firefighter with ball of foot pain for the last 5 months. After a cortisone shot and months of reduced activity I have not had an improvement in my pain. I finally have an MRI scheduled. Your video will help me understand what my podiatrist is saying so I can make an informed decision regarding surgery. I don’t have any dislocation of my 2nd toe (although my 2nd toe is a hair longer than my big toe unfortunately). Is it common to have a PP tear without dislocation?

I'm a bit late to the party here (maybe a good thing) but as a recent patient who has no clue about reading MRIs this video greatly improved my knowledge on the matter especially when it comes to deciphering the visuals. As a patient, this helps me to have a better discussion with my doctors about my injury. As a video marketing and UA-cam professional I congratulate you on growing your channel and adding value to your community. Well well done! 👍

FYI to answer your question - the length of the video was just fine. it served its purpose and from what I read in the comments it did what is was supposed to to do. In brief, a video needs to be as long as it has to be and not a second longer 🙂
