Also take a look at iron rock off-road. They make quite a bit of structural reinforcement and repair stuff for these like frame stiffening and support and structural rocker armor that also doubles as a slider and step
I have an 04 WJ overland edition in slate grey metallic with quadradrive II. Currently replacing the valve springs and valve lash adjusters. If you email jeep/dodge you can actually get a build sheet and stuff for your wj. They just need a vin. We found out that our 04 was a 1/90 build and was fully loaded. Still have the original owners manual too . If you treat these things right the will last
@@chandlerdittmar3909 they're going to be classics for sure one day. They're more Cush than todays cars in my opinion and I drive a lot of new cars and trucks
I've got an 04 4.7 limited in a light blue color.T Jeep was garaged n had 97k miles. No rust n cleaned up real nice. Never seen another one w the same paint code either LOL. 2.5 inch Rustys Spring n shock kit, some rubicon takeoffs, and 255s! Quadradrive works great but gta replace both seals.
I have a 02 overland with the 4.7 HO that I starting building after having it 3 years. I live in Phoenix Arizona and Wow can't believe the difference with all the rust. 😮 Yea it's hot in the summer here but I would hate to deal with everything rusting out like that.
@@camflores13 The problem with the snow states is that people don't oil their vehicles like they should. If people from the factory actually used rust preventative coatings, this would never happen. People don't wash their vehicles either
You can get a front lower spring perch bracket from Dorman, simple bolt-on… did them on my 2002 which were also completely gone… sand it down, rustoleum and put them on… easy peasy
@@HeiseyMotors I came across them when watching a video on how to lift the Jeep. Guy had the same “surprise” you and I had: perches completely rotted away, appears to be a common issue 😞but easy fix with the brackets… just mentioning it for the dudes like me that don’t do welding themselves...👍
Front ones, I used 16 gauge steel and made my own circle for the bottom perch. For the rear I bought a 2.75" exhaust pipe and used that which was honestly too tight of a squeeze and a pretty uncommon exhaust pipe size, if I did it again I would have used 2.5" exhaust pipe and slipped it up INSIDE the perch and drilled holes through the Jeep perch to the exhaust pipe to create spot welds for easy welding and nicer finish. It just needs to hold the coil in place strong
I have a 04 4.7 WJ SE
with 327,000 miles original engine and trans. Still runs like a top with plenty of power!

I love these wjs. Ive got an 02, 4.0, selectrac lifted with 4in rc long arm and 33s. I feel people are still overlooking these.

Those isolators always look melted here in Georgia. It's just the way it deteriorates.
Wildest thing I've seen... looks like it was near a forest fire 🤣

what size pipe did you use for your spring perches?
