This just came up in my memories from 13 years ago. Watched it again and it brought joy and tears. It really does take a village to accomplish great things. Kudos to these wonderful scientists, researchers, students, techs and volunteers.
I am completing my PhD at McGill in cancer research - at the hospital side, and it was amazing to see a lot of the researchers I have met on a monthly basis in the last 4 years let go like that. Congratulations!
♥ this... my daughter had brain cancer {clean scans almost 4 years out}. Getting through this time with a positive attitude and the grace of God. Thank you for your research and making the quality of life better for cancer patients... you will find the cure! Keep smiling and dancing! I am in love with the guy in the bowtie... he is sooo cute!!! ♥
Dancing is... fair at best. Their work is second to none. For anyone who has suffered from cancer, or knows someone who's suffered, there's no words to express the gratitude. Keep up the great work.
This video filled me with hope and I too was moved to tears. My mom has just gone through this horrible disease and it fills me with great joy to know that so many are fighting it. Thanks for making this.
AMAZING AND TALENTED HUMAN BEINGS - You are the kind of people I would totally trust with my life and the lives of my loved ones. Keep up the great work!!! I am very proud that you are Canadian.
Thank you to the researches at McGill...you are the unsung heros in our battle against cancer! Behind every hardworking, serious scientist is a free spirit....remember...dance like no one is watching!
Awesome!! It's so good to put some lightness and fun into such a heavy and serious matter! It contributes to having a clearer and more creative mind... It made me cry!!! Especially the older Doctors dancing I don't know why....Thank you for all the work you do in this matter...my mom died of cancer...
Excellent work by everyone in the video - Dancers, Doctor, Researchers, Students, et al. My wife and I when to the link and made our donation right after watching it. Again Great job to all you dedicated souls at McGill.
I'm 30 years old with my own career, but is it too late to go to medical school and become a cancer researcher so I can have the chance to work with these people?!? Most worthwhile video on UA-cam ever! Keep doing what you do Goodman folks!
This is great. Creativity flourishes in places with humor as well as serious dedication. Kudos to everyone who put this together and to Medicom. Tucson Arizona USA
this was beautiful. I especially loved the rehearsals clips....showed us they are scientists not dancers...but sometimes you gotta dance for the cause....good luck to all of them - doctors, researchers, and most of all...the patients!
BEAUTIFUL! NICELY DONE. I DID NOT KNOW THAT A LOT OF THE GOODMANS SCIENTIST AND RESEARCHERS ARE GOOD DANCERS TOO. THANK YOU TO THE GOODMANS AND FOR THEIR CAUSE. MORE POWER TO YOU ALL.
We at CNETS Canada are very pleased with your video especially since Dr. Sonenberg is working on a project dear to our hearts - Neuroendocrine tumours and the pancreas. Good luck to all of you. One life saved or extended because of your work makes your life worthwhile.
Tellement émouvant de voir divers générations qui travaillent pour la recherche a contrer le cancer, vidéo émouvante, de qualité, bravo a vous tous! McGill continuez votre bon et beaux travail!
Thank you, this is a great way to highlight and bring attention to the important work being done for cancer. I have lost two of my closest family members and cancer runs strong in my family history. Thank you for researching for a better, healthier future.
McGill what can I say but Bravo! Thanks for the good sportsmanship and your great dance moves! Keep up your valuable humanitarian work....down with CANCER!
Well done! This is an ultra groovy dance video… and it does a great job of showing off McGill's state of the art facilities. This video symbolizes nicely why Quebec is such a great place for science!
Thanks for the comment - UA-cam won't allow us to provide mobile access until they recognize our license for the music used in the video. Of course, we hope that will happen soon!
ronabrookemoore: disliked by those who haven't a clue, alas or who haven't been touched by this dreadful condition. Now, seeing Dr Phil Gold dancing and ls'ing?? Worth every donation!! Kudos to the whole team!
I love McGill !!! Best school I could have ever graduated from. It's always going to have a special place in my heart. Way to go...that's our school spirit! :) I really love this school. We work really heard but we know how to keep a smile on and have fun while doing it. Way to go McGill!!!
Makes me proud of being a Mcill grad, med scholl 1988. Dr. Grad and his research are world known. Have met him and went to his lectures. Great place to learn and now hip! If only med school was this cool back in the 80s! Had a blast watching this video.
I commend your efforts to bring awareness and fundraising to such a cause that most of us have been affected one time or another in our lifetime. I know too many to count. Maybe if more groups could learn from your ways there would be more giving to charities. May all of you contribute to cure this awful disease so no one else has to suffer.....all the best....
this is probably the most viewed video for the university channel. marketing money well spent to recruit younger scientists. I've probably watched this half a dozen of times since it first launched. Well done!
great job, great cause. currently a student at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. Been a dream to study at McGill for a long time, hope to make that a reality one day. Awesome job on this video.
saw this on Global news, and i'm going to post it on my facebook and twitter just to get you more research dollars! My mom passed away from cancer, and I truly support cancer research, so good luck!
It amazes me that there can even be negative comments on a video like this. Amazing job, it really brought a smile to my face. It makes me very happy to see all these researchers and prof's who care so much about finding a cure to this disease have a good time and let loose. I'm a firm believer people are more capable and productive when they're happy. And you all certainly look happy :)
Thank you! My mom is a one Year Breast Cancer survivor and it helps to know that there is a hell of a lot more people out there helping to find a cure :D
Loved this video, it looks like it must have been a blast to make! I am a cancer survivor, and a believer in the importance of basic research in fighting this disease.
The people that are disliking this should be ashamed of themselves. Because it's not for you. It's for people that are trying to make a difference. Just so happens this one is about cancer research. This video should be shared, viewed & donated to more than it is right now. Please take about six minutes to watch the video then about two more to just pass it along. Come on people they donate money every viewing!
Thanks qPCRkid for all that you and others are doing. Makes me proud to be a McGill science student and makes me want to join your ranks even more in the future!
well done everyone! I LOVED this team effort -- just like the team effort it is taking to beat this awful disease! Awesome job. Only thing you are missing is a link displayed right in the video about how to make donations toward your Cancer research centre.
