There's so much they could've done with the story in this game. I would've liked to know more about Isidora, more side quests with Poppy, etc. I enjoyed the game for what it was but I feel like something was missing from the story and I hope they approve that in the sequel
Agreed. I also understand why they did what they did with our character development. But I wish they gave us some sort of backstory of why we came late to Hogwarts.
In the Hogwarts Legacy game there a girls bathroom right outside of Professor Fig's classroom that has Polyjuice potion brewing in the last stall. Even though it is obviously a nice easter egg to Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, I am thoroughly convinced that the Polyjuice potion was actually put there by Professor Fig. I think he hid it in the girls bathroom so that Headmaster Black won't accidently come across it. ⚗️🧪🪄
Notably missing entries from this list include: the Realization that Casting Imperio on Onimous causes you to leave a *BLIND* friend in a tomb until Sebastian & your character are *OUTTA SIGHT!* I mean, that's gotta be the worst choice of words to use in that situation! the Death of Lodgok Sebastian Saves Anne from a Goblin with Imperio Besides that, Id say that the Reveal bout Victor Rookwood Cursing Anne should be its own entry.
Will agree with most of these also it is amusing you hit on the biggest issue with the game in your #1 pick. The fact a lot of player choices do not matter in the game, which more I think about it is not a good direction. There are certain 'big fights' against different characters where you finish them one way in battle, but the game takes over and is "nope, this went down this way instead". Fun game, I do enjoy it and will continue to play different houses; I just wish the Devs learn to not take away or ignore play choice in any future DLC/Expansions or a follow up game.
I might be in the minority but the Deathly Hallows mission felt like a cop out. They couldn’t come up with anything unique or original so they shoe horned the deathly hallows in. It was a fun mission but narratively I was grumbling the whole time lol
This my just be me but i kinda wish that you had the choice of either Fig accompany you to the final repository or your friends. If you choose Fig plays out like normal but if you choose your friend's they all accompany you speak to each of them and ask to meet you by the map chamber(or where its located). Bring Natty, Poppy, Ominus, Amit, and Sebastian. I could see Sebastian wanting you to release the power to help Anne while others like Ominus and Poppy saying don't, Natty and Amit would be more in the middle. Before you can make a decision Ranrock comes and you all fight him together. In between health bars, one of your friends does a unique thing. Natty turns into her Animagus form, charges, and hits ranrock. Ominus uses parcalmouth and has a bunch of snakes bite ranrock. Poppy uses a magical beast(don't know which) to harm ranrock. Sebastian could use either confringo to blast ranrock back or use crusio on ranrock. Don't know what Amit would do thought, sorry Amit. At the end of the battle, you make your choice and it effects how your friends see you by the end. Not sure how they would react depending on the choice you made. I think this would have made the game feel more like we built a connection to these characters and would have allowed for more multiple paths. Let's say you didn't do Poppy's quest yet dialogue would change to reflect that. This was just a random idea i had and thought it was cool. This kinda reflects Harry Potter's story, how he wouldn't have been able to do somethings without help from his friends. I also think it would've been cool if the relationship quest(not counting Sebastian's) offered unique rewards. Like maybe if you ask Natty about becoming an animagus she offers to help you because one if you choose the right dialogue opinion. It could add some unique combat elements, similar to your ancient magic. Poppy's quest could give us the ability to use are beast in combat, like using a niffler to distract enemies or a demiguse to take out an enemy in a stealth encounter.
Agree with your ranking. Great video, putting it all together. Never saw most of them coming and it still hits a chord to see these bits over again....never expected them.
@@RetroRaconteur Thank you for making consistently well-thought-out content videos. I may not always comment but I always appreciate the extra effort that goes into your work.
Polyjuice potion into Black is one of the moments that I love to replay again and again. It's so funny. Also the third trial is my favoret because of how cool it is.
When I tell you that I GASPED when I saw Seb kill his uncle with AK. It was audibly loud. A whole room of people could have heard me. Did not expect it at all.
One thing I think they should have done with the last Sebastian relationship quest (somehow also Natty's and Poppy's) is have a two different boss fights. As thought out the quest line Sebastien was all about using the Dark Arts while Ominous was against it. And thought out the quest you choose who side with more or act as the middle man. When you find Sebastien in the last mission, when you talk with him you can say your amazed with everything supporting him and the Dark Arts, which leads to the fight with Solomon. But if your against it you'll plead him to stop everything and try to reason with him, but Sebastien will go into a blind rage thinking you have betrayed him like everyone else and willing to let Anne suffer, attacks you so you fight him instead. At the end of the fight Sebastien cast the killing curse at you, you overpower it defeat Sebastien and earn ownership of his wand. Anne arrives with Solomon to witness the end Solomon takes the relic, destroys it and the rest of the Inferi, Anne horrified by everything destroys the book, Sebastien get up starts walking over to Anne, she steps back Sebastien crying asks "why did you do that it key to saving you" Anne scared answers "not like this" and runs away crying, Sebastien calls out to her to come back and drops to his knees. Solomon yells at Sebastien to look at everything he did tells him come back home him for further discussion, Sebastien gets up and walks away Solomon looks back at you says sorry for what just happened then follows Sebastien.
I made this fanfic where one of my characters tries to stop him and the next thing you know Rehoboth and Sebastian are basically singing The Plagues until Sebastian ends up killing my Slytherin character and realizes he killed someone he used to call "brother".

Yeah I definitely think our character needed more of a story to them.

and if they don't, we should be *GRATEFUL* and just enjoy games 😊

The Polyjuice Black is the funniest part of the game, in my opinion.
Love this game taking my time with it. Good video

So everybody who can wield ancient magic came to Hogwarts as a 5th year it seems i Wonder why
How do you wear a hood??
You can toggle it on/off in the gear menu.
There was so much more potential for the story to be honest, it felt a bit short and basic
Yeah, it felt like the best story moments were mostly in Seb's questline. They played it a little too safe with the main quest, imo.
