love those inversions in upper McDonald valley. i spent 35+ years hiking/climbing Glacier Park. put on well over 5000 trail miles and summitted peaks over 100 times. back country camped dozens upon dozens of times and fished everywhere. add in the spring bike rides for 3 decades and x-country skiing for as long, and Glacier Park can be called my home away from home my fortress of solitude was Hidden Lake. nearly 70 times (twice a year) i would be at the pass at sunrise and hike down into Hidden Lake, cross the outlet stream to walk it's shorelines with a fishing pole or climb it's back ridges to gaze down into Avalanche Lake. probably hiked the Highline 10 times or so and loved early spring (June) hikes over the snow (from the loop) to the Granite Chalets..... i have thousands of pics but the video is nice for a change. i've retired to the Andes (Cuenca, Ecuador) and miss my former stomping grounds, but enjoy the new adventures. i suggest an early morning hike down into Hidden Lake. the quiet is deafening after you cross the creek outlet and walk the shoreline....... make it early. the reflections on the lake are phenomenal... thanks for the memories.
