Finally some old school stuff. Testament really nails it on so many level, especially on the first two albums. It's violent and energetic without sacrificing any melodic aspect or other other emotions. Peterson might be one of the greatest rhythm guitarists in the scene, ever, and don't even get me started on Skoknick...

When I first heard Burnt Offerings I thought the harmonized riff was wild and still is! Something so unusual sounding yet so catchy.
Eerie Inhabitants is a banger as well.
They are right up there with the “Big 4” of thrash, even better in some regards.
@@Cthulhu_Awaken that harmony riff is out of control. Probably my favorite of theirs. Something about it is so majestic, yet off-putting. They aced it.

Im a Testament fan from way back! I've meet Alex skolnick he's a real class act ! He's very intelligent and friendly! Meet him Here in Hawaii. He's was on his morning run an he passed me . I Instantly turned and called out his name. He stopped with a surprised look on his face. We stood and talked for about ten minutes on the side walk and the he went back to his run!
I agree..met Alex when I was 19 and saw him again 25 years later. He was kind and patient at both times.

I remember that tour. Then they turn around and went right back out with Beastie Boys and Public Enemy. I miss the 80s

Just hearing these riffs reminds me of some great times in my younger life. How I loved going to the shows and getting close to the stage, only to have my ears blown off. Eric Peterson is a great rhythm guitarist and his compositions are not easily played. Well done and thanks for the vid.

@@neubernocker705 I am well aware of other greater guitarists, such as Dream Theater's guitarist, Jari Lindholm, Jimi Hendrix, Megadeth's guitarist, and many others, but Verm's videos doing riffs is marvelous. Especially his Muse riffs.
