This movie inspired me to go into engineering and eventually patent law after three post graduate degrees. The technology now will actually approach what was shown in this movie 40 years ago. The tradecraft hasn't changed.
As a member of the Air Force National Guard, I love this movie and I am a die hard Clint Eastwood fan! This movie even has actors from Star Wars and Raiders in it!
This video was uploaded in the wrong aspect ratio, so the image is distorted. Too bad Dane didn't learn how to use UA-cam right.

There actually WAS a MiG 31, bot not the Firefox of cinema lore, rather the NATO codename Foxhound.

A mere child? Who's he kidding, 1968 was barely 14 years prior to this 1982 outing & Warren Clarke must've been late 30s here.

Its a really dark theme, portrayed thus with American services actively setting their citizen Leon Sprague up for assassination by foreign agents in a moralistic angle to sensitive audiences because he was a heroin smuggler, always bothered me.
I think the movie still looks great even in 2023

It's amazing how they transformed that subway. And with the eerie electronic music it really had the feel of the dreary Soviet Union of 1982.
There was a novel sequel, called Firefox Down, beginning at the end of the film itself & Maj. Gant's return Stateside.
darn Clint was ripped!
Papito💕
He sounds so different in private :P
link is in the description now

This Movie is inspiring for people to innovate and making new engineering.
