how it would have been seen, and sounded, in 1976, obviously the
limitations of the source materials make this, at times, difficult to achieve.

WHO'S HERE IN 2024🎉HOOKS FOREVER😂
Mcanich & Strauks - what a rock solid rhythm section - laid the platform for symons and starkie to do their thing and pull these songs off live. Great band
Great band. Living in the 70s...I was like a school boy that had grown a beard...they captured the time...the ambience...the era....perfectly. Skyhooked forever..😊
Skyhooks were a great band, inventive music & lyrics, original presentation, had a couple of good reunions/comebacks before Shirl died. Yet they rate down the list of Australian bands who are remembered & credited with a legacy. Puzzling.
I think the problem is with how short their run was. Basically three years, three albums and it was over for them.
Look at the set list, all killer no filler, all original.
My fav Aussie band ever. Great days, great memories🎉
Great to see this again. I was there during the day for the rehearsals and set up. Lygon St Was a big thing with all the extras circus style people and of course Shirl had to try out the large metal wheel rolling across the stage. Went to the concert and back stage at the “intermission” and got autographs for girls on the sides of the stage. Later went to the Armstrong studios to watch the editing with all the guys there, pretty amazing for this 17 year old! Lots of technical issues with the mobile recording truck on the night so the plans were changed a lot for this to be released. Great times ☺️👍
did camera on that show great memories thanks
I watched this when it aired in '76. I was lucky enough to play The Palais in 2016. I stood right where Red did.
wow, rather special
@@markalan2340 It was! I was 13 when I saw this, and it had a big effect on me. I always thought how cool would it be to play the same stage as the band who influenced me to play guitar. Great to see this again. Thanks for the upload!
I remember seeing Skyhooks on live on countdown, magic days….
Thank you so much for sharing this memorable concert with us.
Hope UA-cam does not remove it
Red was my science teacher!
i was there , 12 years old and my big sis was 16 :D
hope it brought back some memories
Thank you 🎉🇭🇲🦜
Everything was fun back then
so amazing. They don't make 'em like this anymore! My youth right here!
To be fair to Skyhooks, no one ever made em like that ever lol
Incredible job guys - THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Thanks Mark. Always replayed on a Saturday afternoon on Channel 10 in NSW for some reason in the 70’s. Keep Hookin.
Greatest Aussie glam band.....OZ lost its innocense with Skyhooks and the TV show Number 96 😅😅😅😅😅😅
How true
Love the Wombat Queen!
Great job, awesome to see this again after so long.
Shyhooks were a great band. Pure Australiana this. Being a kid from the 70s, I feel so sorry for kids of today who are being filled with misguided ideology. We were free and fun back then.
Great lyrics
Where did they go after this show?
To the USA, for a tour, I think it was about 3 month.s
Bongo I ashamed of you
U could of picked a better singer shame on you
And what exactly did he do to you?
My dad went to the exact same school with Greg the guitar 🎸 guy in Melbourne in Sunshine technical school because my mum mentioned that to me and I said towards herself bullshit dad didn't even went to the exact same school with Greg himself she yeah he did seriously and i said as if but my dad went to his bedroom and looking for a picture of the whole entire school students photo and he said to me and pointed out Greg himself in the picture i said holy shit a brick wall 🧱 it is himself and if my dad did become close personal friends with Greg himself i would have been invited to the backstage way before the concert started and even rehearsals also but it didn't even turned out between my dad and Greg himself from the skyhooks
