Hey #PDArmy, we hope this helps you understand the difference between the cooling systems! If you wanna know more, do Comment below, and if you want to see more like this, give the video a Thumbs Up!
Wish shumi was my Heat Transfer teacher😅
This is actually the perfect explanation, for " Normies " .
Which one is better engine turbo or the naturally aspirated ones. Keep a session for that.
Guys can you do video on what can we do to stiffen up front end in non adjustable setups we have here
@@legolash8370 basically nothing other than a more viscous fluid in the shocks to stiffen em up, and/or new, stiffer shocks is usually the option
Shumi explains better than my professor, hands down!
Any professor for that matter!!

As the syllabus mentioned in Applied Thermodynamics of Mechanical Engineering, TY students have this topic, great initiative by PD team, I always enjoy stuff explained by Schumi!
Thanks SS!
Thank you Sammed! More coming up!
@@shu_mar Also thanks for Inspiring all auto enthusiasts out there

Shumi, you are expert in explaining complicated things in a simple way. Great podcast series
Thank you!
Pulsar 220 , first oil cooled machine for the masses. 70k kms , still going strong. Thanx PD for simply explaining the facts
Well said "Look for the motorcycle which makes you happy, that's far more important than what cooling system it uses". 🤙❤

As an owner of CB350 RS, which employs an Air-cooled Engine, this video has put me at ease. Less things to be worried about. 😜
Thank you. Keep up the great work, Professor Shumi..
Cheers!
I also own the same bike, it does get quite hot but never overheats in hilly terrain rides with lower gears and high rpm, this experience of mine should further put your mind at ease
Just today I'll clocked some 200kms ride in my CB350 mostly at 90 ish kmph. Engine heats but never felt inside pants..
I think if Honda wants to give more power than bullet 350 with same engine size then they should give liquid cool.
Whoever came up with this idea needs a raise in this channel... this channel was all about just reviews with fancy cinematic and tough vocabulary... this is what we need... teach the youngsters about bikes in depth, it's technical knowledge, maintenance , repairs, working etc...
This is great work guys...
Kudos ❤❤❤💯💯💯💯
Thank you!
Shumi's detailed and in depth explanation automatically inspires to crush that like button!
Woohoo!
Thank you!
@@shu_mar double thanks for really simplifying sire 🙏🏽
PowerDrift and Shumi have time and again proved to be the best place motorcycle and car lovers can come to, for nothing other than enlightenment! No nonsense content only for those who live and breathe automobiles! ❤️
I mean, you can find tons of videos in UA-cam where they rev bikes hard, reach the top speeds and top altitudes, but to give you the ecstacy obtained from simply knowing more about your machine; that's where these guys Excel. Keep up the good work, and please don't ever stop! PowerDrift is a family I really want to see grow! More power to you. 🔥❤️
Thank you so so much!
Some rumours had recently stated about VVT (variable valve timing)technology that bajaj might be bring out along with new pulsar 250f , plz cover this topic in ur upcoming video.

His explaination always feels personal !
Thanks! Everything about motorcycles is always personal!
Thanks for the crystal clear explanation. Absolute clarity. Thank you bro.
You are doing all of your viewers a massive disservice with this video.
There is a substantial improvement in longevity of a liquid cooled engine against oil or air. Especially if used in hot and urban conditions.
Not true! Most motorcycle engines have the exact same design life. Cooling solutions are brought in based on role, performance and cost budget
u cant be more wrong
@@madrummer666 Ha! Of course I can. I could have said that engine's don't need cooling at all! It's just manufacturers making money by tacking on unnecessary gunk to the bikes! :-D
@@shu_mar sir my reply was for Donald Johnson. I completely agree with ur gyan.

Need a video on bike batteries, what wattage/voltage should we buy now as extended lockdowns and aho draining battery. And as most bikes are ditching kick starter, this has become a major problem.
Loved the conclusion that shumi explained “buy the motorcycle that makes u happy”
It’s 💯 true!
Yes we want the video on how the liquid cooling system works on bikes in detail. Thank you for the wonderful information❣️👏
Noted! Thanks for the suggestion!
Can do!
Thank you for the light of wisdom to dispel the darkness of motorcycling ignorance!!!
Although I am Bajaj fanboy, choosing an NS200 over the Apache 200 because the latter does not have liquid cooling is ridiculous.
Hi Shumi please come with series of video on EV Policy and also regular changes on that as it's complicated and changing within a short span
I don't know if it's just my own experience, but air cooled engines tend to consume a little bit of oil on long rides, while liquid cooled bikes can run for thousands of kilometers without adding a drop of oil or coolant. I think it's because air cooled engines have larger tolerances to allow for heat expansion, while liquid cooled have a narrower temperature range and therefore tighter tolerances.
What you said is absolutely true...
SIR WONDERFUL ELOQUENCE AND BEAUTIFUL EXPLANATION..LOVE YOU AND YOUR WISDOM THANK YOU
that's a simple, precise explanation which is very informative.... well done👌👌👌

Glad to hear this helped! :D
Hi Shumi ! thank you for explaining it in so much detail and really simplified way . Just had one doubt if engine cooling system matters for riding bikes at very low temp region for eg at ladakh ?
Cooling system is most important to run an heavy engine ,
Nice explanation 👍😊

what about heavy rider
@@no22sill ya 😂 they will be automatically cool if they are riding heavy bikes
How about a 150cc does it need to liquid cool?

Harley Davidson has Air Engine cooling problem. I am a Harley rider and have seen 2016 2017 Fatboy models stop due to engine heating in slow Mumbai traffic (not in summer but also in Oct Nov).
When this happens we used to wait for 20 25 mins and then the bike starts again.

Sir I want know about both cooling system like ducati v4r pumping mechanism and pressure oil pumps mechanism like superduke

PD bhaiya ye batao. Should I buy cb shine if i have back issues in past or should I buy a platina? Which commuter has good comfort ride? Or Tvs raider. Which one should I go for?
Love you Shumi
Hi Prof! Brilliant video!
Thanks AD!
excellent this is really simplified..
Glad you think so! Cheers!
Hi Powerdrift, it's been a great information 👍. Tell us Engine breaking 😀
Yes. They should.
Thanks shumi.
I did observe that higher the compression more sophisticated is cooling system required. For eg, gixxer sf250 vs fz25 vs R15.. r15 being highest has LC system whereas sf goes with OC system and fz just gets with air cooled. The relation mostly i see is with compression ratio. Please correct me if I am wrong.
100%agreed 👍
Does that mean a rider will face more heat on V engine type because rear cylinder in Vt ype will be closer to rider compare to inline 4?
Almost in every video, Shumi is saying to buy the bike you love the most. That is the most important advice.
Just liked the way how he summed up everything a to make the most important point at the end.
Make a video on after market alloy wheels on cars
Which brand should we go how much upsize an alloy wheel can be done or should we go with company fitted alloy wheels
Is it safe to change alloy wheels or what brands are best alloys to buy
Yes, would like to know In detail.
Gixxer 250 has fully oil cooled which has no fins in it. Some ppl refering it as Jet cooling. Can you explain about it???
bhaiya shoub be my subject teacher😅.
the way he explain is just amazing.
Professor Shumi 🔥🙏🤴
How suzuki oil cooling works? As we know oil cooled engine has fins on it but in gixxer and gixxer sf 250 their is no fins…design of engine is exactly like liquid cooled but it is oil cooled and having a radiator fan on it. Can you explain how it works sir?
Can you please explain slipper clutch and clutch ....and 6 box gear etc related to clutch and gear
Coming soon!
Really simplified ❤️great 👍
does cooling system change the power extracted from system .. for example 150 cc liquid cooled can produce more power compared to 150 cc air cooled
In theory yes. But in the other direction. The more power the engine is supposed to make, the more heat it produces. And therefore the more the chance it’ll need liquid cooling
Shumi sir the Best. ❤️
i have a hero honda cbz xtreme how can i up the hp please help
Yes i agree. Follow your heart and get the bike that satisfy you and trust the engineers who designed your engine to get the appropriate cooling system.
Look for a motorcycle that makes u happy. This line has my heart ❤️ attached to it
Shumi sir Is there any differences in terms of coolant in bike and car?
No.
@@shu_mar thank you sir. Thanks for the reply. Big fan ☺️
I beg to differ, i used to own pulsar 150 (2010 batch), when riding enthusiastically on long distances and especially in hilly terrains, it shuts off due to certain heat of the engine. I had to stop often, say after every 40km or so. Second, I currently use NS200 bs6 as my commuter, as it's a liquid cooled, the hot air gets directed to the lower parts of the legs but by the time it touchthe legs, it feels warm (not hot). Travel 100km in a single take, it doesn't dissapoint.
