I did this shawl a year or so ago & loved it & gave to my mother. I did mine in deep purple. I started another one last night & fumbled it so tonight I’ll start over. One good thing about crochet you can just in do pull yarn & start over. I love this shawl.

I’m impressed with the way you showed how to make a slipknot I think it’s the best I’ve ever seen on UA-cam. I’m also impressed with the way you pick up your yarn overs for your trip or crochets. I’ve never seen anyone twist the hook to do that I’m going to try it!

Someone from my knitting and crocheting club had recommended a different shawl video for a group project . This shawl looks better than the recommended one and the instructions here are much easier to understand. I might cheat and make this shawl instead of the recommended one.

I watched your video three times before I attempted to make your gorgeous shawl. I did everything exactly as you said . . . except for one thing. I'm using Bernat's velvet which is a little more difficult, used a 6mm hook, then in the second Row 3 ... oh, horrors, I skipped the extra chain between the triples! In the second row 4, I still made the DC between the triples, and voila! It worked out. I'm on the third go-around, and it is still working. Please forgive me, but it is working out beautifully, and I thank you so very much for your kindness in sharing this beautiful pattern with us.

I ended up writing a cheat sheet on how to do the turns step by step for row three and four, it helped me alot. Took a long time to watch the video for every single turn, now I just hade my notepad beside me every time I was going to end a row and turn my work.

@@TheCraftNut only problem I have is, the form is getting weird.. Like it's no straight line on the side where we started.. If I lay it down, it looks like the sides a going up.. Not to the side.. If that makes any sense to u🤔😅😅

@@TheCraftNut oh ok. I thought maybe I have to adjust the stitches and then it will be fine. And so I did but I didn't dare to continue since I thought the end result might get wrong. Doesn't it even put after doing a border around it?
@@mbe1987 monitor still has a curve to it but it's not a huge one. I dont like the curve either but it's not too bad ☮️💙🎶

I noticed that how you twist your hook while yarning over twice. It's an amazing clever way to do the triple crochet, I will try that thank you @The Caft Nut I'm always looking for amazing clever ways to do my triple crochets.
BEAUTIFUL!! I love your technique of spinning your hook for yarning over twice on the hook for the triple crochet, I never saw or heard of anyone doing that before! I must say, though, that I almost always feel I should do something a little different to "make it mine" so to speak so I am thinking of, when finishing the row of sc to reverse sc back across the top and then doing a picot edging. I just did this with a Caron big cake in boysenberry. I made a couple of adjustments. I put a couple of sections of 6rows of double crochet together. Reason for it being my niece is going to use it as a nursing shawl. Thanks for the pattern. !!
