    Note to self: Pattern repeat rows 2-4. Row 2 starts at 5:17, row 3 starts at 8:46, row 4 starts at 12:21 😊

    • @sevierhere
      @sevierhere 3 роки тому +3

      Hi, thanks. Hard to follow directions, never knew which row??? 5 th attempt & mine is a very deep V which I don't like. Looks nothing like hers. :(

    • @DarlingMissDarling
      @DarlingMissDarling 3 роки тому +6

      @@sevierhere it's no problem at all! Hmm, If you have a deep v, you might be putting too many stitches in the same chain space in your rows or too few🤔?
      I found that if I reduced the speed of the video to .75 or even slower, it made it easier to follow along if I got lost! A "v" shaped one would still be gorgeous and honestly, you may not be doing anything wrong at all and your shape might just be fixed when you go to block the shawl at the end! Good luck, I hope it turns out great for you! 😊💕

    • @DarlingMissDarling
      @DarlingMissDarling 3 роки тому +8

      @@sevierhere oh! Almost forgot! Another thing I did to make it a lil easier on myself was to use a 3 weight or light 4 weight yarn instead of doubling up with two strands of fingering weight skeins like is suggested. It helped me a ton when I decided to give this a try as my first shawl!

      @@HeatherJoFlores that's definitely strange indeed. perhaps your tension is too tight? I've made three so far in different yarn types and haven't run into that particular issue. I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help to you!

    • @DarlingMissDarling
      @DarlingMissDarling 2 роки тому

      @@HeatherJoFlores that is definitely strange! Sorry that's happened to you. Are you possibly working into one of the stitches in the starting chain instead of inside of the ring you need to make at the start? Perhaps beginning with a magic circle instead would help if so! 🤷🏼‍♀️

    Just made this shawl in a weekend (worked on it off and on for 3 days). I used a 2 weight single strand chainette spun yarn and a 6.5 mm crochet hook. It turned out perfect. It's light and airy and a perfect summer accessory. The only thing I changed was I added a single crochet row along the bottom to provide a bit more structure to hold all the long fringe. The recipient loved it.

    I just finished this pattern. What a great shawl! I made mine more hippie with a nice multi-color fall cotton yarn. Somehow I got lucky and picked the right yarn and needle size and it fits perfectly!! I attached a colorful button at the front corner for closure and that worked great! It also doubles perfectly as a waist cover for swimwear. I am so glad I made this! It took me a full day and well worth it!

The only thing I would perhaps have liked is that you used lighter and thicker yarn to show very clearly the stitch that the hook is entering when doing triple crochets into the "chain three" I guess I don't really get it because i am a complete beginner but it would help perhaps! I love this shawl. Finding a suitable yarn in the UK might be a bit of a challenge, but that's all part of the fun!! It's on my list of "to do's"......😊😊😊

    Love this! Been wanting to make this for a long time. Glad to finally see a tutorial. Also, if you could do a tutorial on the moonlight circular jacket that would be awesome. Not great at reading patterns, mainly self taught. Thx. ♥

    Hi! I made this for a teacher, and had a lot of fun making it. It got me thinking that I could make more and sell them, but I wanted your permission first! I would give credit for the pattern, of course. If not, I completely understand!

      If you check out our patterns on their last page you will see a note at the bottom that will give you the following permission: "Finished items made using this pattern may be sold so long as pattern attribution is ascribed to Expression Fiber Arts.". I hope this answers your question. Have a nice day! 💚

    Hello Chandi,
    I really love this Boho shawl, it is beautiful and I actually believe I can make it; I am a better knitter than crocheter. The instructions are simple but very detailed on your tutorial. I hope to purchase some yarn soon. Thanks and have a lovely day. 😊
