Great build! I'm hoping to start something similar this summer. Can I ask if condensation is an issue with this build in the winter?

Hey thank you! Right on have fun with it, its always a blast building things like this! Condensation is a huge topic and issue for somthing like this. An air exchange is needed otherewise cooking and just one nights sleeping will cause condensation. Especially if its cold out. A roof vent may be ideal with a window cracked to deal with this giving a draft of sorts with the warm air exiting out the roof vent pulling in fresh air while taking out moisture as this happens. I did not want a roof vent but I would crack the side windows and that whould give me adiquit cross ventalation in the summer. Ehh.. this was not so much at below freazing degrees and definatly a fight between keeping it warm and keeping the moisture down. But having a higher btu heat sorce than a small heater budy might realy help. Perhaps a Small wood stove or diesel heater. Never the less Some sort of air exchange is needed to properly mediate the issue in this small space or of course an ac unit to dry the air..

@@gonorthoffgrid1786 Thanks for the quick reply! I'm planning on spending a lot of time in the Hoh rain forest in Washington so humidity is a concern :) Have you heard of foamies? Campers made from wall panels that are XPS foam wrapped in glue and canvas... like old school airplanes. They've been building them for over a decade on www.tnttt.com/viewforum.php?f=55 Happy camping!

Just seen your reply, yes Ive seen a few. Id kinda like to make one for shits and giggles, a friend made one, they used elmers wood glue... I might argue to use a slightly better glue and fabric.. At the least tightbond 3. Foam walls are just so great for insulation. The ocean rainforest humidity is an sob... Some freinds lived in a 5th wheel in south east alaska and tryed to battle the humidity with a dehumidifier, You could live off the water there dehumidifier pulled out of the air it was such volume.

There is an American manufacturer that makes very high quality stoves using cast iron and marine grade stainless steel, which will fit perfectly inside your camper!
The Fatsco Pet Stove (Model 450) is 9.5 inches tall, 6 inches in diameter and has an 8 inch lantern base which has cast in, holes to securely mount the stove, which weighs 13 pounds.
Although originally designed to burn inexpensive charcoal the stove will obviously burn wood, albeit in small sized chunks.
These stoves are loved by the wooden boat liveaboard community for their compact size and high output of dry heat to dry damp cabins, clothes and bedding.
Another advantage is that they require minimal clearence for mounting near walls, bulkheads or furniture.
Every single component can be bought in the event of accidentally damaging something.
With their 3 inch stovepipe these stoves can be mounted virtually anywhere, even in the smallest space.
One of the best aspects about the Fatsco Stoves is that they are inexpensive and very high quality, which isn't something that usually goes together, however in this instance they go together very well.
I also think they look gorgeous.
I have no association with Fatsco Stoves other than as a very happy customer whom bought himself a Pet Stove!
