I've watched Batman Forever many times.
What happens when you get a real-life puzzle master to design The Riddler's brainteasers? Well, you don't have him holding a slab of ham and mewing like a cat, for one.
See if you're fit to hold the title "World's Greatest Detective" by cracking Nygma's four riddles, plus the overarching puzzle that incorporates them all. I know I sounded on-the-fence about it in the video, but you should definitely give that final puzzle a try. (It just might not be worth spending hours on if you get really stuck.) Answer to Riddle #4: Vowels.
Answer to overall Riddle: The numbers mentioned in each riddle are resemble certain letters of the alphabet. 13, 1, 8, 5, which are the letters M, A, H, and E. The 1 and the 8 can be linked to make the number 18, which is the letter R. Thus giving us the letter M, R and E, which spells Mr E, and it's another way of saying the word mystery. And if you consider that Mr E is actually a name, and the word that means riddle or puzzle that starts with E is enigma, thus revealing the true identity of the Riddler, Edward Nigma.

Failed at the first one, my answer was outdated Doctor Who posters that don't have the 13th Doctor.

I remembered most of this from the film itself but i agree, Joker aside, Riddler is my favourite villain and both Carrey and Dano were great. I just wish we got to see Robin Williams play the role in maybe the CW crossover shows but sadly it wasnt meant to be.

I've seen the movie a million times.
I'm disappointed in myself. I have watched Batman Forever a ton of times and have even praised the movies showcase of Batman's detective skill. Yet I wasn't able to remember or figure out any of these riddles except the first one. Well, anyways... #ReleaseTheSchumacherCut
You also left out that Mr. E sounds like the term “mystery” and another term for it is “enigma” which sounds like Nygma
@Clevermore Puzzles Great video and no offense but you could've used Elliott Goldenthal's Batman Forever music instead of Danny Elfman's music because it's Joel Schumacher's movie not Tim Burton's and Val Kilmer is Batman not Michael Keaton
Eh its only thanks to time you can look fondly on Batman Forever. Those riddles aren't good. Its only purpose is to reveal the identity of the individual sending the riddles who Bruce should know is the Riddler and even then between Stickley's "mysterious" diappearance, the appearance of Nygmatech and so forth even Bruce should have figured out it was Edward Nygma.
Yet in the end the Riddler lit a giant beacon showing where he was. No riddle solving needed!
Funny thing if Batman just shot like rockets at the factory he would have beaten Riddler without needing even land
But how was combining 1 and 8 to make 18 the answer needed?
Thats the sad part. It wasn't. Learning who was behind the mask didn't matter. His home was clearly invaded by Two Face and Riddler. They sat down trying to solve a riddle instead of immediately chasing after.
The answer to first riddle is a clock 🕰️.the answer to second riddle is a match.that’s easy the answer to Third riddle is ♟️ pawns.the answer to the fourth and final riddle is vowels.the answers to all four of riddles are is the riddler himself.

The match and tennis court riddles were good. The clock and pawn riddles were a LOT easier. The whole, taking the numbers from the questions part made for a good puzzle, but kind of screwed the pooch in a few ways... One, it made the existence of the riddles as riddle pointless, as figuring out the individual answers reveals nothing, and that is VERY un-Riddler. The second way is that the whole 1 & 8 could be 18 thing is weak sauce. 1 & 8 make 9 as easily as they make 18, and MIE is as useless as MAHE. And finally, getting MRE or Mr. E is great, but it doesn't lead anywhere. Maybe the idea that Batman's new mystery loving foe calls himself "Mr. E" because he loves mysteries and puns. But getting from "Mr. E" to "Mr. Edward Nygma" is a huge stretch. All it would take is one man involved in the case named "Eric", "Ellsworth", "Eldon", "Elmo", "Ebenezer", "Eggleston", and the clue goes to shit. In a city of 8 million people, it's the "Nygma" surname that is unique; not the first name "Edward".
Give us 3 riddles: one about Valentine's Day, one about a quarter, and one about the Muses of Greek Mythology, as well as the clock and match riddles and then it would actually be a good puzzle.

That one is tricky because it said “items” not “things”, and I’m fairly certain letters of a language are not items.
The final putting 1 and 8 together however had basically no logic. Always felt that part was a flaw. Should have just had a single riddle with 18. Or at the least have the riddler delivered both riddles together. And have them say well since these riddles was both given together let's combine them to make 18. Something at least. To just put these 2 together was kinda meh. Could have put 1,2 together from the clock or added 1 and 8 to get the 9th letter. No logic on combine these 2 specifically the way they did.
I would have said that if it weren't for the fact that combining any other combination of numbers is beyond the scope of the alphabet. There is no 138th letter, or 85th letter. That's where the logic is. Combining any other set of numbers in order doesn't work
@@Monty2289 I suppose but why combining you could add the 2 together to get 9 or any of the others some would calculate within 1-26. By what I meant flawed there was basically no reasoning for combining those 2 numbers was kinda just hey let's try this oh that worked. Something should have hinted to put those 2 numbers together just a little something.
