    Similarly, I just installed an aftermarket radio in my ‘96 Maxima. You just reminded me to test how Light of the Seven sounds with the Bose system. Great video by the way!

    Yeah the piece or the attachment piece that you used to install the USB I wish you would have showed how to hook that part up just that piece alone the USB added to the factory stereo with a hot wire and I believe in auxiliar..

    Hi, I did the installation of the adapter, but when I turn the car off and on, it misfires and does not allow the song to change, does anyone have an idea what it could be?

    it should be possible to use the audio line out via the lightning port to USB rather than also having to connect headphone jack. This could be done with a box that supports the iPod protocol or maybe making use of an iPhone dock.

      Do you know if it’s possible to covert the aux input into a usb input, so you’re able to play music and charge your phone simultaneously using the usb plug ?

      You have to set the source to whatever cable is plugged into the radio. In this case its AUX. Same as what you would do on TV if you wanted to use USB/HDMI, you have to change the source. If you buy an FM transmitter for your car, that's the only one where you don't change the source but instead have to match the radio frequency on the radio and the transmitter. Transmitters are easier to set up but they sound worse and can get clunky. I have one but it's right behind the shifter and it pisses me off when my wife tries to access it while I'm driving.

    Would this work on a 2004 Acura TL? I assume since it works on the Accord and Civic it should be no different but I'd like to know if it's for sure that it'll work.

      Monkey D. Sparx just look up specific car brands. Most are covered because they use similar wiring methods with radios and such.

      Type 'Acura TL Aux Adapter' on Amazon. That should help you find the right product.

    when playing a song from the usb can you fast forward or rewind the song? or you can only change songs but not fast forward?

    • @CarsNToys
      @CarsNToys  6 років тому +1

      You can fast forward if the app allows you to. (Amazon music, if you're listening via youtube, Pandora one, iTunes, etc.)

    • @jimacid.
      @jimacid. 6 років тому

      no i meant if you can do it when you are playing a song from a usb stick, not from your phone using youtube
      because mine cant do that, it always shows 0:00 and you cant fast forward or rewind, it just plays the song and you can skip songs. also mine plays the files from the usb very loud and it distorts the sound even when i have the volume of the stereo very low. i noticed that when i switch from fm radio to the usb of this adapter the usb sounds a lot louder than the fm radio, and the sound is distorted when playing from usb

    • @CarsNToys
      @CarsNToys  6 років тому +1

      I haven't tried playing from a USB stick. It's a good question. I'll have to try that.

      base on this tutuorial u cannot play the song using usb stick only not unless u upgrade the whole stereo system. this tutorial allows u only to use the speaker being connected to the phone.,

      @@CarsNToys Every single car for sale I'm looking at comes with standard radio with no "Aux hole" lol I will leave it to the technical gurus to find me a solution
      I also like the freedom to go back on a song I love with the click of the phone tab

    • @CarsNToys
      @CarsNToys  4 роки тому

      Many manufacturer's do have the input. Just do a quick Amazon search specific for your vehicle and you can often see if anything is available. If not, you can always install an aftermarket radio (Sony, Pioneer, etc.) - it's simple enough: ua-cam.com/video/roEBAsiI-Ho/v-deo.html

    • @tripp121283
      @tripp121283 4 роки тому

      I know mine doesn't have it. I saw some other videos where they actually hard wire it to the motherboard of the radio. Im thinking about going that route.
