I do a russian fast fortress when i go cav. You get the manchus and some other good cav shipments that are bolstered by cheap Russian cav gives you a great push people aren’t expecting
@Aussie_Drongo any tips for how to gain a better Ottoman economy early? Market upgrades and vill speed upgrades still doesn’t cut it
It all comes down to micro when top players meet.
Ottoman may have done better by switching to own skirm-goon.
Haitch risked a lot with that gathering without protection West side of map, no BH there. And sure he has better Micromanagement of army as well as of the economy and macro: the secret is utilizing all the resources at max efficiency too... Yes.. and the game is really about who keeps the falconets up...Was surprised of how important is keeping the distance, but also how strange was the melee decision of April... April auto damaged the own strategy there I think making of the janniseries just targets.

Russia. A civilization that requires a decent amount of macro in order to maintain constant vill production while making military vs a civ that gets free villagers. Ottoman lamer can only lose if he fails to lame appropriately. It’s nice to see horse archer being used however. they’re a good unit their animation just makes their ability tough to shine through. also love to see the healer healing the mameluke. mechanics that are rarely used in supremacy.
Haitch is a god, April is a good player, but haitch is just on another level
Russia is one of the easier civs for sure due to the lack of depth they have. Also ottomans aren’t really lame they just kind of suck. Very good to play for beginners though

@@quarfg maybe assuming you’re a try hard top 10 player, maybe and the games being played are back and forth or executed with precision. Even then a top 10 player can lame ottoman just how kaiserklein or other top players have in the past and make it look top tier. Their lame revolt alone makes them a force.

Weird to see that Ottoman who are mainly Turks has (you know steppe riders, like mongols, horse riders) weak horse archers.
Always bothered me. I wish the horse archers were royal guards. They'd make great 'Akinji's.
They should have another card to upgrade them not just Irregulars

Rushing definitely is out of the 1v1 meta, but it's very effective in mid-ELO team games. It's easy to get all attackers to attack at the same time, but unless the defenders are very well coordinated, the attackers often destroy defending armies one-at-a-time. And a single TC stands no match to 2-4 attacking armies, whereas a TC can definitely defend against a single attacking army.
you’re basically saying team games are easy because there’s always a weak link to jump which turns the game from even teams to one team being short a player because attacking is easier than defending. wow fun
@@Youngmuniii It is actually like that... stuff like 3 v 3 is a joke, has always been since 2006. 1 v 1 and 2 v 2 is where you see RTS...
Hey Drongo, do you think that Abus Guns needs buff? I mean yeah they are great for killing heavy inf and maybe artilerry but they are very expensive specially for bad ottoman eco, has 0.2 Range Ressist instead of 0.3 this makes them very vulnerable, they can only been trained at artillery, has 2 pop and they are weak for killing ranged cavalary. Maybe they could move abus to age 3, and make it 0.3 RR idk. What do you think?

I just played a game against the Hauden... and the guy had all his villagers on community plaza spamming out war hut travios... he literally kept just making those.. and blocked me into my TC area.
He had to of had like 30 of these things around the map.. all on the border of my TC area. After locking me in he mined all my gold and killed my hunt around that area.. Aussie, is what he did LAME AF? How do I stop that. literally by the time we both hit age II he had two of them down around his TC, with some vills in TC and war huts able to shoot like guard towers he easily defended, after that it was just non stop spamming war hut travios
I completely understand. Versed a Lakota player who placed 20 teepees around his TC (his horse units like Tashunke/Rifle Riders were 1500+ each. It was like trying to remove a stubborn rash. He just wouldn’t go away.

I wish trees and hunts would regen over time
Being finite ensures people don't turtle hard too early by having to move villagers out of the safety of the base as the game goes on. Mills and Plantation also prevent this by being a very inefficient source of food and gold early, requiring many upgrades to actually be worth.
And to even start doing that, Those upgrades and buildings require a very large amount of, yep you guessed it, Wood. :D
@@aquilleswinkler5051 i don’t mean regen fast but slowly. Like if chopped trees regenerated every like 10 minutes and hunts walked in from the black every like 5 - 10 minutes. It just sucks running out of hunts. I doubt it’ll ever be a thing but it’s just something i want.
I'm mostly for tree regeneration, it makes sense that hunts go slarse from overhunting but it would be intresting if they could grow if you leave a few animals to reproduce. As for trees they could make a special type of ground that trees regrow on, these could prevent turtling too much
@@ustanik9921 personally I’d love a “god power” for each civ kinda like they did with the us flag. France could double a hunt size and someone else could make a forest grow or something. Idk
