How are you switching from player to player from civilization to civilization? How do I do that. You do a video tutorial on how to switch from civilization player to civilization player.

Solder wants to blame the game, but honestly, he just got outclassed with normal in-game mechanics, he just didn't have the brains to contend with it.
Brittany didn't hack or cheat in any way, soldier is just a big baby.
He also played as the French. Much like Fox, it was the meta, but people still play as them, even though they were nerfed from their OP top tier.
One remarkable thing is that solder tried the spy. Now everyone is certain that this unit doesn't do it job. That discover in game increased the frustration
@@doppelstarker5915 5 - 10 Spies vs 50 mercs is really not gonna get the job done. especially with the amount of hp the stadiots had and the 40% meelee resist of the corsairs. But it does indeed work, popping 20 spies from hiding smack bang into a player's merc musket/jeager line fucks it right up. Soldier just litterally made the bare minumum and then revealed them early and made them suicide run into the corsairs.
He’s a big bitch which isn’t uncommon in this community (at the top of the ladder at least)
Well game sucks is an accurate conclusion after a game where both players don't get starting hunts :P

Toxic and salty. Litterally only responds when getting beat but won't have friendly convo otherwise.
Hunt spawns seem to often be pretty terrible on this map, probably to reflect the harshness and inhospitable nature of Siberia.
Yeah, it's not unusual to not have single hunt in your TC sight radius at the start of the game.

Great game, i was totally cheering on the merc guy, nice and unique game and build, gonna try this one out as well later, but with the advanced arsenal as well.
Advanced arsenal for the speed, and the cavalry siege damage would be awesome.

Agreed. One of reasons I like Age III over Age II, the meta is more flexible and more interesting. I doubt Mashed Potato could be such a high ELO in Age II with the crazy stuff he does.
@@Toonrick12 Some top players like Lyx or Viper pull off cool things in AoE2, but yeah still doesn't compare to AoE3. Both the meta and the game itself are quite complex.
But on a serious note, some of these mercenary units are broken.
'Marathan thugees' I ran into yesterday, had 54 base damage with a 3X multiplier against heavy infantry in Age 3. Like wtf?
Germans one of my favorite civs. love to see them memed well.
Soldier is just a hugely nerfed version of Kaiser, always complains but without the skillset to back up his salt..

I very much enjoy these casted games! I feel like sometimes you are maybe not looking at the more important things or missing something (like for example, it would have been interesting to switch to SoldieRs view in the beginning to see if his hunt was equally far away), but it gives these videos a sort of lightheartedness if that's a word. Other than that I really enjoy your commentary as it's very colourful and excited! Love the series in general
Soldier regularly gets whomped when anybody plays anything non-standard Meta. He complains a lot too. He blows at a lot of games that he has a huge economic lead in

I wish there was more love for melee units like for example more speed upgrades for other civs and/or passive that makes them move faster for a short period of time (maybe when they're close to enemy units, so they can intercept nearby units). I loved zealots with charge ability in StarCraft 2. I'm just so tired of seeing skirm + dragoons 90% of time.

But the strat is not toxic. I get that it's sort of a joke now to call every strat toxic, but this compared to CM, walls and Sweden booming and the Lowgistician is really not toxic.

Great game. So, what if there were no Stradiots but rather Arsonists in the Tavern? I guess he would have made Uhlans? Were the Barbary Corsairs also random?
I assume he would of used those Arsonists to sneak to the base and destroy it. They are basically merc Grenadiers. Mercenaries are like the cheat code for the Mediocre Bombard, "Ya gotta make do with what yea got."
Thoughts on Dance Hall card?
Not worth it. You need the Wild West/Folk Heroes upgrade to make Outlaws worth it, but that's an age 3 upgrade. By then regular mercenaries are unlocked, so what's the point? (Unless you're planning to rebel to Argentina for the Mounted Granaderos)

Really can't fight german merc strat without assassins card or unlimited gatling gun rounds from America. Also that's the 2nd luckiest RNG for tavern (jaeger being the 1st). You rarely get stradiots in it.
I had lil bombard and napoleon guns once, didn't even bother to finish the game. The cost was just astronomical.
Yea, those two are hard to use because you can't speed up their creation time. It's also awkward that the Lil Bombards are SLOWER than the Great Bombards. Napoleon guns are also the weakest part of New Hampshire as an age up. You choose that state for the Age 3 Factory and the 5 Regulars.

It's only with outlaws. Mercenaries are randomized for every game.

The spies could not do anything because they were not upgraded to assassins.

Only the outlaws are based on map. Mercenaries are randomized. Only Sweden has guaranteed mercs with their civ ability and with home city cards.

They need to strengthen the spies, we have a lot of OP mercenaries due to Sweden, depending on the strategy it's not even worth playing against.
Agreed. I think Spies, Priests, and Surgeons should be changed to be like native warriors and not cost population but have a fixed number that can be trained. Missionaries shouldn't be changed because they OP as is.
nah spies would have done fine what does he except getting like 7 spies against 40 mercs he was simply outspammed
and you can also get assassin upg for spies making them even more stronger against mercs

when you see he has 3 merc shipments and a merc upg he's probably going to go mercenaries
