I had an extra Mars SP3000 that I hung upside down during my last flower cycle to provide under-canopy lighting to supplement my FCE-8000. The under-side buds from the center of my tent were noticeably larger and denser than those under-side buds from the outer edges without supplemental which remained relatively larfy. I am hoping to buy some of the Migro array lights designed for the 3X3 and use those as my under-canopy lighting in my 5X5 tents.

Grows with full canopies in tents benefit most from adding lights under the canopy. With a thick canopy, just 20ppfd reaches the bottom sites. I add a light, and the lower growth is reaching 350ppfd. This results in a healthy plant top to bottom. I recommend adding them as stretch is slowing down, day 20 or so when the flowers can start taking in some energy. I leave mine on the full 12/12 full strength because there's no dimmer.
The upper lights I fluctuate often, sometimes a few times a day. I'm trying to steer growth with light boosts as much as 1100 ppfd from the top and 350 ppfd from the bottom. Then, give them shade periods as low as 400 to rest and bring the plants' temperature back down.
I took the Epar meter outside a bunch recently and was surprised to see 2400 umol in the open light. A thick cloud passes by and blocks the sun down to 200 umols. It made me think there's no reason not to fluctuate the light intensity in the tent more to mimick nature more.
I use under & side lighting added. 1 plant in a 6×6 . Big side & inner buds that before added lights would have been larf. Or snickelfritz

Anyway I just installed some side lighting a couple weeks ago and it seems like it made some of the branches go sideways or even down rather than up.
Maybe if I kept the lights there through the whole grow it would all work out (I'm still in veg) but I don't want to mess with it so I have them in the corners above the canopy now just to help even out the light. Or maybe I'll drop them down later if there are lower buds I want to get light to 🤷♂️
