I just purchased my new Limited, and believe it our not, my insurance is cheaper on this one than my 2018 King Ranch! And this crazy truck can read the speed limit signs on intelligent cruise. I love it and the Powerboost is freaking amazing and fast!
That's because it's newer. The older a vehicle gets, the more it costs to insure (up to a point).

@@robertcapetola3986 Paint Protection Film, it's a clear film that you can't see and it protects the car from small rocks that would otherwise chip your paint.
My lariat has alot of the same features as the limited. Love that truck drives like a dream. Wish I had the fold flat seats.✌️ Great job as always.
I think Mitchell does a great job explaining all of the features and how they work. I truly enjoy listening to Mitchell Watts. I doubt I will be able to afford a new Ford since I am disabled and living on a fixed income. But maybe down the road I will be able to get one. Hopefully I will be able to afford a late model Ford that doesn’t have too many miles on it. I would drive down to buy one from Mitchel, he sounds like a good guy for a salesmen.
I wish they would have kept the dual rear-exit exhaust under the bumper like the previous gen Limited.

For current 13th Gen owners: there's a FORscan mod to add autofold to regular and tow mirrors. Simple software tweak, so you can get this too. For those with tow mirrors you'll need to swap some pins, but it's an otherwise free and reversible mod. I've had this on my '19 KR for the last couple months and it's fantastic.
Aside, but I really wish we'd see real-world payload stickers and *not* the "if it's just you and you lost 40lbs" payload figure the marketing brochure gives us. Given how payload-limited these half tons are, I'd love to know what the payload is on a Limited PowerBoost (and interestingly enough, but not mentioned, is how they bumped the GVWR for the PowerBoost trucks).

@@Wildtrax39565 No way, not on a Limited PowerBoost. No HDPP on Limited, which you'd need to get close to 2500 on a non-hybrid. I expect closer to 1300-1400, even accounting for the greater GVWR of 7350 on the PB trucks. Perhaps 1500 if you dropped some options.

@@Wildtrax39565 Unfortunately not true. If you look at any Ford marketing brochure that touts payload, you'll see it has a disclaimer to the effect of "Max available payload. May vary with available equipment". In other words, that's the payload before a base XL truck with crank windows.
For a Limited PowerBoost (or any truck really), look at the yellow payload sticker in the door jamb. I've seen a handful of PowerBoost trucks so far and they've all been in the 1300-1400 range. A 4x4 Lariat PowerBoost came in at 1330, so a Limited would be below that.
I wish they were clearer with real-world payloads as well but they hide behind "wellll, it varies with options so we'll just give you the max possible!", which tricks a lot of owners (and salesman!) up.
An F150 Limited, in no world, will have 2500lbs payload. Sorry man.

Mitchell, You are always open and honest with your thoughts on Ford and their choices. I appreciate that. You have made my truck shopping both more difficult and easier all at the same time. Easier to know what to ask for, but more difficult in showing me more options I now think I have to have. So thanks for that.
Are you going to do a video on the undercarriage rust issue that is popping up on brand new 21 models? Interested to know: 1. Any insight you might have as to what is going on other than Ford's "it's only surface rust" reply. Nobody wants surface (or any) rust on a $70k+ truck. and 2. Is TC Customs going to offer some type of solution for that as an extra? I will be in the market for a loaded KR Powerboost this summer. But I am not pulling the trigger until I see how this rust issue plays out. I really don't like the "nobody will see it under there" reply from Ford when I want a lift kit added and everyone will see it.
It's surface rust. It happens on every vehicle. It doesn't affect the performance or longevity of the vehicle one bit. No sense in wasting time making a video about such mundane things.
I like how the gas cap release adds security because someone can’t just randomly open your gas lid and pour something in.

One of the advantages of the 120 volt plugs is that you can have a printer for your laptop computer... so you can print invoices & estimates on site. My roofer keeps his printer in the backseat.

Ford seriously needs to advertise the PowerBoost to RV trailer owners, it is one of the best things for that. Also, forget just aero, I bet those mirrors are better for visibility too, those last get ones were too small, I ended up getting towing mirrors because of it.

Love the vids. Had a limited too many options to fail in my opinion. Never used most of them. Running a 2018 xlt with 5.0 now. We make 2 to 3 trips to Disney a year "non covid ". We fill up in Evansville indiana and never stop for fule in Valdosta Georgia. 630 ish miles. Still have 6-7 gallons remaining. Average 23.6 mpg so far running 70-75 mph. Waiting for a stronger hybridization before dropping the cash for a new truck. Thanks for the great informative videos. Keep it up.
Agreed. When I see a PEV F-150 on par with ICE engine versions for both RANGE and recharge time (i.e., compared to filling up your gas tank), then I'm ready for one.

They are beautiful trucks but winter in Northern Canada kills all the cameras and sensors. The power running boards and front fender skirt are sure to break within days of ice build up.

Does the power up tailgate come as an option on lower trim models because if it doesn’t that’s dumb on fords part for because that’s who would be working out of their trucks for the most part not the people with limiteds.
I don't think you can get it as an option on XL or XLT, only Lariat. It's standard on King Ranch, Platinum and Limited!
@@6ixthGear Thats pretty stupid on fords part because say it was a 500$ option on the XL and XLT they would probably sell that feature as most people who work out of their trucks and would need that type of feature are probably buying Xl or XLT

18:28 It's a pity that tolerance isn't a percentage, that way I could use the same setting for any speed zone.
I thought LIMITED meant only a certain amount to be sold, but now I think it means "limited" as to what options you can choose. You can't get FX4 or max towing packages, no V8 or diesel choice for engines, and no 6.5' bed length.
"Limited" means there are certain things that are ONLY available on this truck vs. the others, so your truck would be extra special. Think of it as "snobbish" or "hoity toity". :)
@@bobbybarnes1652 In my case, the f-150 Limited I bought came with the under carriage rust package, the defective paint option (which has just now been repainted), and the defective seat and steering wheel package, so yes, I guess you can say it has things only available on the "Limited."

On the Ram V6 HP and TQ notification, you have it reversed. It's actually 305 HP and 269 lb-ft of torque.
Great video as usual Mitchell does you parts dept . Have a part number fir the TPMS tire monitoring system ? My Ford dealer says it only comes on super duty. I have 2021 f150 hybrid in Platinum loaded . I’ll order from you guys if I can get some help with this .

On the Silverado 3.0L Duramax diesel torque, it is 460 lb-ft, not 440 lb-ft as listed
(greater than 440 lb-ft of Ford).

We bought a new 2021 F150 limited with the trailer back up assist yaw system for our TT and love it. However we do not have the trailer tire pressure monitoring system. Was that supposed to come with our new truck? Where can we get it? Thanks!

Does it still support Ford's foldable bed extender? I see the 3 mounting holes on the bed but nothing on the new tailgate. Love your attention to detail although most people won't care like how you mentioned about the lossless audio. I always keep some FLAC files in my phone. 😁

What Mitchell means when he says the sound from a radio station is not the original quality means that they are using mp3 type quality, or 328kbps quality. If you want the best of the best, you need the original .wav or .flac file or plug your iPhone in because Bluetooth cannot reach 1200 kbps.

What is the difference between the Limited Trim and the fully loaded Platnium trim??

Is the Limited going to be available in a Crew Cab 6.5 ft long bed?
For now, no, only the Platinum can get the 6.5ft bed.
For many years, the Limited is only available in 5.5, also the 22in wheels impact the payload a lot.
@@b1jmaz79 I appreciate that. But honestly that is why I wanted to see if that would change this year. I really don’t understand the lack of a 6.5 option on the Limited, when it is available on the King Ranch and Platinum.
@@Darkknight2001 it's only because of the 22" wheels, it teduces drastically the available payload and having a 6.5 would further reduce it
@@b1jmaz79 payload difference between 6'5 and 5'5 4x4 is only 20lbs in favor of the short bed. It's a business decision.
Great review! I heard/read the headlights on the Limited are directional? Meaning they will slightly turn left or right depending the the curvature of the road. Is this accurate?
got mine last week, they follow the road from left to right AND up and down (when you have a trailer they adjust)
