Good to see you out with your dad again mate, top bit of fishing aswell, all about them washed out pinks bringing in the big boys! 💪🏼 keep up the amazing content and hard work, it pays off in the end. Top lad! Tight lines! 🎣🐟💯

Eh' up buddy, about 3 weeks ago, I glazed a small bait box full of 8 mm Swim Stim sweet F1 & Normal Fishery Pellets with a mixture of Chocolate Orange attractant, Black Treacle & Golden syrup. They still haven't broken down & are like little Toffee Apples. So, even cheap Fishery Pellets can be changed into something a bit special & stored for ages.
Brilliant video as always, Don’t change a thing , the way you fish , you talking through your trip , it all adds to the enjoyment. Always look forward to your vids , highlight of my week 😂🎣, loved the Tench , my favourite fish , them and crucians, got my first trip in over a year this weekend, can’t wait , keep doing it your way my friend, it’s pure dead brilliant 😂😂🎣🎣
Keep up with the commentary it helps keep me awake while sat watching you in the evenings lol need to see more of you getting a soaking in the rain please😅
@WestysAngling lol carnt wait! I went mon just took brolly as it said sunny & moderate breeze! Hat flew off into lake brolly turned inside out lol 😆 won't make that mistake again! 👍
I really enjoy your videos and have learned so much since I started following your channel. Please keep talking and explaining what and why you are doing things. Cheers 👍
Great video as usual Westy I personally enjoy the talking how you explain things I've learnt a lot from it great days fishing but I don't know if I would of stopped long in that dreadful weather well done to you both
Definitely talking! Also when you need to do a close up on your hook etc maybe use your phone so you can zoom in tight on it. Keep up the great videos 🎉
Hiya bud...I've just finished watching this video...I wasn't sure if it was the noise from your fishing in the rain or the rain lashing down on my conservatory roof!! I enjoyed your video. I've been fishing today at a lincolnshire, my local pond, all around me were catching F1s and I was pulling in bream ....really nice size.
I actually really enjoy pulling in big slabs ! Makes a change from carp sometimes 👌🏻 haha ideal weather conditions tonight to watch that video, definitely sets the scene Peter 😂
I'm the same as you westy, I don't think there's a wrong way to fish. I like to keep it simple. I got myself a nice tench last week. One of my favourites to catch, lovely colours and it's weird to say but I like the feel of them 🤣🤣. Keep up the good work and don't change anything about your vids, me and my mates love em 😊
Awesome comment this Jason ! Oddly I know what you mean about the feel of tench ultra slickly 😂 they do change quite dramatically in colours don’t they greens, golds , purples and browns ! Thanks tight lines to you and your mates 🎣
Sound on or off no probs for me pal 👌 Just wish we could hear more of Papa Westy for his input on some of the vids. Very hard to get his comments at times 😢 I'll send you a picture of my clonker perch I caught on a pink wafter at Pheasants Wood Fishery 👌👌👌
Another great video 👍🏻 One of the local lakes I fish stocked 20+ tench at the end of last year. Caught one on Sunday on method feeder pellet mix and yellow scopex wafter! Good size as well at 7.60lb.
@@WestysAngling not too bad for the price. 9 lakes, miles of the Kennet and Avon canal, some of this can be fished all year round as well. A few miles of the river Kennet as well. Less than £100 per year for single rod permit.
I actually listen on my head phones whiles working on cars like it’s a pod cast 😂 then I run to my phone on my toolbox when you get a bite or for set up info 👍
In the bottom of that feeder arm there is a standard fishing bolt thread, I then ordered a rod off eBay with the same thread pattern. The bottom of it is a radiator stop valve 😂
Quality video as usual, keep the commentary for me love the advice you give. Was wondering which way you wash your waterproofs I’ve got the same suit as you and wasn’t sure how to keep them watertight? Cheers.
Haha they definitely didn’t need a wash after that day ! I try to wash them as little as possible. When they need it though I wash them at 30c on a short cycle. Then spray them down a bit with water proofing stuff 👍🏻
Thanks Westy. I’ve been fishing a local pond which holds roach,Rudd, tench and various carp. Had a my first couple of tench last week they put up a good fight, also pulled a couple of koi carp too just on the float with sweetcorn and some banoffee sauce mixed in works a treat.
Westy love your videos helped me get a new PB 9½lb I was wondering if you could do a session on maggot feeder I have caught on big bunch of 10-15 maggots and loose feeding but I am sure I use maggot feeder wrong I only ever catch1 or 2 catch lots loose feeding in exactly same spot???
Great session, there is no way I'd be out there in that weather, but well done for sticking it out. I much prefer the static camera, the head one leaves me a bit dizzy 😂. Also, I don't know if it was the camera, but towards the end of the video, I couldn't tell if dad was to your right, or behind you..
This is actually a really helpful comment Stewart thank you ! I will try to put everyone on less of a head cam roller coaster from now on 😂 maybe just be a little steadier with it 😬🎣
@@WestysAngling it's good when your sitting down, really good detail on setup etc, it's mainly when you are casting out. I was looking for the splash of the feeder, but sometimes only saw the rod go on the rest. Also, did you see what I meant towards the end of the video, it may have been me, but your dad seemed to be fishing in different places when he was nicking your sweetcorn 😂.
@@stewartmk7 I do know what you mean ! It’s the fisheye effect of the GoPro, depth of field can be a bit distorted 😂 and yes I cut a lot of the casting and sinking line etc out because otherwise the videos would be hours long ! I will try to make the transitions smoother 👌🏻
Prefer commentary mate, learned some good stuff and I’ve bought some gear you’ve shown.Your channel is of the same level as me,a lot better than the professional vids, they make it piss easy🤣🤣
Haha if it was too easy it wouldn’t be as enjoyable 😂 the videos are definitely as real as it gets! I think the vote is definitely towards the commentary 👌🏻🎣
I learnt how to fish the ledger on alarms with carp rods bait runner etc. but now 90% of my fishing is method feeder,so do I have the wrong reels with Shimano FS 6000? I have been using bait runner is this completely wrong or is it a personal preference?
@WestysAngling nice one, long as I'm not losing out because of it. I love the scream of my reel over a bite alarm. Plus slamming it into rock and roll with a quarter crank will always feel amazing. Tight lines.
