Today, I've got a step by step tutorial to show you how to make your own monthly boxes in Canva.
This tutorial is part of a series where I share with you my process for making all sorts of fun functional & decorative elements in Canva. Make sure you're subscribed and have the notification bell turned on so you don't miss an upload.
In this video, we're focusing on monthly boxes and I'm showing you 2 different ways to this, one being easier than the other.
I will warn ya, it's a bit convoluted to create these. It's a process of layering a bunch in order to get the result we want. I highly recommend printing test pages, to verify you've got it all aligned correctly and you're happy with the thickness of the borders before you do the final print.

Love your videos just subscribe. As for the boxes that you where looking for in canva.. they actually sub menu the box. If you click on the color of shape you u will see a box with a line across it. That will remove the color but keep the outline of the box. Hope this helps

The box I used to use existed in the shapes section before they did whatever they did.
It was already set for just an outline with a border weight of about 2. It was perfect. lol
In my opinion, it saved me time as it was preset for what I wanted and I only had to change the border color. lmao
Yes, I can still do it the way I did in this one, but it's more steps. 🤣
What type of planner(s) do you use?
@The Enchanted Planner I use the happy planner classic mainly but also use the big n mini. I do my own planner since most inserts are not they way I want them to be in my brain sense 🤣

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!! You went at the perfect speed for me! Have you tried making boxes for the dashboard planner (dated side)? I'm wondering if removing the box for the date would be the "same" process as the box with the square notch cut out? Side note: hubby walked by and asked why you were making boobie stickers. 😂😂 Poor guy didn't have his glasses on and I was wearing headphones. He wasn't near as happy when he learned they were berries.

Yes, the process would be similar to this for making dashboard boxes. That tutorial is on the list as well for this series. I think it's the next one actually.. It won't be live for awhile but it is on the list.
So, I would use this tutorial and play with it in Canva. You'll get it worked out.
🤣🤣🤣 men... lmao. In their minds, it's always about boobies. One of my fave, funny quotes is from Men in Black 2 where the Serleena says "Silly little planet. Anyone could take over the place with the right set of mammary glands." When it comes to men... totally!
