Solution Guys! To get it to cut the outside of the Stickers you just need to duplicate the background layer a few times! And this will make the cricut score that line several times and eventually cut it out YAYYY! Thank you for all the tips I fricken love you guys! YOU DA BEST 😍✨🌸
@@ReadyWillnnabel let's say your cutting out your stickers and those are in a png format get a square shape and size it to how you want your stickers to fit the you will duplicate that shape 4x's then you choose all your layers and attach them as 1. Your Cricut machine will go over you shape and cut it out 4x's and your stickers 1x if that makes any sense

@@KatnippStudios Hello! This is totally random, but could I ask what the code in the upper right corner of your sticker sheet/template/backing card is for?
Hey!! So I make sticker sheets as well with a Cricut and the only way to get it to kiss cut the stickers AND die cut the border, you need to make 2 photoshop files (one of the stickers) and one of your backing card with a WHITE background. When you import both into the Design Space, you basically duplicate the backing card 4-5 times. When you setup your sheets with the right size and orientation, you ensure that all of the backing card dupes, lay right on top of each other. Ensure both sticker layers/sets are "attached" to each other, BUT NOT THE BACKING CARDS. Then select everything (all layers) and hit "Attach" - It basically tricks the cricut into cutting the backing card 4-5 times, then going in and doing the kiss cuts. (I hope this makes sense! lol I ended up figuring it out during vlogmas)
I did my idea and it worked perfectly! So my idea in case you didn't see the last comment was: One you kiss cut the stickers, leaven in them in the mat. Then go to the program, unattached the images and erase the stickers just leave the background and then cut then in the configuration you normally do for having single and complete cut out stickers. I just did and I have a lovely sticker sheet with kiss cut and the background also cut with the cricut
THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Finally a kind, generous, wonderful illustrator uploads a USEFUL, thorough, clear and practical video explaining the A to Z processes instead of the the usual ZOOOM THROUGH "THAT'S HOW I MAKE MY STICKERS" superficial videos I find here. Truly, thank you so much!
This was seriously such a good guide for getting started. I just got a Cricut and only wasted two sheets of my budget sticker paper before getting everything working as needed - which I consider a success/minimal waste! I have an idea! When the cutting of the stickers is done leave it as it is. Put the mat with the stickers again on the machine but this time go to the program and ungroup the layers. Chose just the layers of the sticker and erase it Just leaving the background so when you ask the program to cut it will only cut the pages (the background). What do you think? I think it works! I will try on Cricut I will let you know. ps: I hope you understand the idea.
Thank you for being so open and helpful with your videos! I've seen "how-to" videos where they were so afraid of someone "stealing" their process that they spent more time hiding their process (and printer, paper, camera, computer, etc!) than explaining it. Thanks a lot for making this video. I have both a cricut and silhouette cameo, and yes the silhouette gives you the option to set different cut depths to different lines. But with the cricut you can draw a rectangle shape with no fill and locate it around the backing card and cut it out with a deeper cut setting. You will first cut as you normally do, and without unloading the mat the rectangle shape can be cut next. I hope this make sense as English is my second language.
I bought my cricut machine in hopes of making stickers. I have been so insanely overwhelmed with all the different possibilities and ways to go about it. this video has been by far the easiest and most helpful so far! thanks!

Thanks for sharing. Yes Silhouette has the feature to make 2 cutlines with different depths. Cricut should really do more updates for the software. Hi there !! I just needed some help, i’m also stuck cutting the backing layer and that too only once !! I’ve tried it so many times but it just doesn’t want to work !! Did you miss any step ?
I gotta say, once you showed your new Epson printer I was inspired to get my own and its been a game changer! I must of printed 30 photos on photo paper for a scrapbook project and have barely used any ink. I also make my own planner stickers with my Cricut and now I know how to do the logo thing without cutting it. Thank you so much for sharing
I have both the Silhouette and the Cricut. With the Silhouette you can definitely set 2 different cut settings and have them cut one after another before unloading the mat. So convenient! Also flashing a cell phone light when the machine is reading registration marks eliminates misreads on the cameo almost always.
You are a delight to watch, informative, funny, talented, even the music you chose was perfect and I enjoyed listening to it. I have only recently found your channel , I have been binge watching! Looking forward to watching more.
I had no idea you could print a backing sheet like that!! This is SO cool! I will be trying this out soon. Thank you so much for sharing your tips and tricks!! I’m so glad to have found your channel! 💖🧚🏼♀️
sooo helpful, thankyou for making this video. i had been trying to figure out how to do my stickers in cricut for ages, and watched loads of videos. yours was the one that finally made it make sense! thank you , thank you!!!
I'm so happy you are so open about sharing your process with us because some shop owners are so rude about it. Some even go as far as saying it's top secret. lol.
Ah thank you so much for showing your process! I've been putting the sticker sheets together with transparent backgrounds with header and footer boxes and just using that one file, but I LOVE the idea of saving the entire backing card separate. It seems SO MUCH easier to work with too! You are truly a genius my dear and I appreciate your openness about your process! I'm going to update all my sticker sheets now! 😘
Flip your mat upside down with the stickers towards the table and peel the mat back instead of peeling the stickers back to remove them- that will make the sticker flat and now end up curling. :) (Silhouette has a margin of error that is quite big, I bought one and they would not help me or let me return it, do not recommend)
I have a Cricut. I found that If you want a deeper cut on the outside of the sheet, you just have to add in a white rectangle (cut setting) to the back of you sticker sheets. Because it has an extra cut box behind the background, it will cut through the page on the second run, and still keeps the kiss cut stickers in the middle. I hope this makes sense. Just make sure that your backing card and the rectangle layer are matching up on all four sides. I use the alignment tool to match the two rectangle cut files and the backing card together. I do the top alignment and then the left side alignment.
Do you add the white rectangle in design space? Do you just draw a rectangle the same size as you finished sheet, send to back, select the rectangle and the sheet and align top and left? What kind of sticker paper do you use? Is only one rectangle enough to cut through?
I use the gray square cut thingy on the side bar. I just changed the measurement, color, and set it to print. if you like the curved corner look, you can type in rectangle in the design space, and look for one that has curved corners. hope this helps @@peachitas
Watching you illustrate is so satisfying! I love your artwork and I love how much the drawing brightens when you line them and add the white background!
I just opened up my etsy shop for stickers and you got me started. I think you're the only store I favourite right now LOL. Anyways, thank you so much!
I love this. Thanks so much for sharing! I am in no way opening a shop. Too much work. Hands down to all you. But i do make stickers for myself and close friends and kids and the coloring of background in procreate was a big help! Needed to show you that love. Thanks again.

Thank you so much for this tutorial! I just bought a Cricut Explore Air 2 for the purpose of creating sticker sheets for my creative business. Your directions are clear and easy to follow. I'm definitely excited to try creating sticker sheets using your tutorial. Thanks again!
Omg you are using frannerd’s planner!!!! 😭💕 I LOVE IT WHEN MY FAVE ILLUSTRATORS SUPPORT EACH OTHER!!!! Also the sticker are so pretty!!!!! I love how you explain everything so clearly and your voice is so cute!💕💕💕
I have my own sticker shop and I use the Silhouette but because I love your art and videos I wanted to watch this and see the differences. It’s interesting how different the whole process actually is! I think it might take a little longer to use the Silhouette (how I do it at least) but it’s way more customizable than the Cricut, meaning I can select exactly where I want it to cut and how deep and can adjust the cut lines like you would vector lines in Illustrator. And you’re right, you can do multiple different cut lines on one file. But anyways, that was fun! Puddin’ and friends look super cute!! Also I love your generosity in sharing this information because I know a lot of artists who make their own merch have a difficult time sharing any of this kind of stuff. 😊
You made my day 🥰 I was going to sell my cricut but now I love it because you thoug me to cut stickers. I have a small online business and I now can make my logo stickers 😃 Thank you 😘
i had the silhouette cameo 3 and really liked that feature (that i more than miss on the cricut), BUT the sensor of the silhouette was a pain in the butt.... that‘s why i sold it and switched to the cricut. thank you for this wonderfull video!! will buy this cute sheet as soon as the gingie & spice pin comes out!! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you SO MUCH for posting this! I have been doing stickers for a while now without the logo (other than a tiny sticker one at the bottom), and now my sheets look SO much nicer! And thanks to your awesome followers, I don't have to use the paper cutter to finish them off. This has made my MONTH.
Love your videos! I have a silhouette, and yes you can set two different cut depths. I do my kiss cut first, and then I have a setting that cuts out the individual sticker sheets! Thanks for all that you share!!
Love, love, love your channel! You are amazing and easy to follow as you take us through a project. I was always wondering how to make stickers and now I know. But I don't have all the equipment I need. Thank you for having this channel. You are also beautiful inside and out. I look forward to seeing more videos. Thank you for sharing your beautiful art. God bless you always!
Thanks for this video. Just purchased a Cricut Maker and wanted to try making sticker sheets. Enjoy your videos and I find the colors in your studio vids to be very pleasant.
Hey, I have a Cricut and I believe that you're going to have to use the custom setting instead of the paper. So turn your dial to custom and then Cricut design space will bring up a drop-down menu and you can choose the kind of sticker paper you want to use.... also I think it's because you attach both sticker sheets so your Cricut feel as though its one sticker sheet instead of two. I think if you keep them separate your machine should die-cut (fully cut out) the two sticker sheets. You might need to play around with the settings a little... cause there are different sticker paper settings... I've used the washi setting and it worked for the thiner paper... Hope that helps.... Your videos are awesome..... Just like you.... Love you, Bye :)
Hi! I love all your videos and this one came right on time! I was planning to add some sticker sheets on my Etsy shop ☺️ Can you tell me what sticker paper are you using? I've tried various brands but the quality is not the best.... 😬
I bought myself a cricut maker today as I’m going to be illustrating cards and stickers, so this video is just what I needed! Will also be watching your other videos on stickers 😁 YOU DA BEST!
With silhouette you can make two separate files with the connect software using illustrator. You run the sticker cut in a low thickness and then run the border cuts adding thickness. You can do this when you send the working space to silhouette connect and there, in the menu at the right (select lines and then the thickness options appear), I always choose 8 ish for stickers and over 10 for the borders 🙂
Omg, I was so excited to see you announce this video on insta. Super awesome timing, as I was literally JUST searching online on how to make stickers (currently wading through printers lol). Super helpful and entertaining as always! So exciting to see your business grow! Luvyabye!
You are fabulous. Great to appreciate what goes into making stickers and the issues that come up. Thank you for sharing. Which think sticker paper do you use. I gate my stickers being bulky on fine paper.
I used to have the same problem as you! I had to cut out the edges as well. But, I have figured out a way for the Cricut to do it for you. Just stack your background layer up multiple times ( i do 5 ) and then align them. Then, it goes around the outside multiple time's and cuts all the way through!
For the cricut you can add a square to the outline of your artwork square... then duplicate it. Sometimes you may have to do three squares to do three cuts depending on the paper.
P.S. I use the Brother Scan N Cut to cut out my stickers. Less steps , less complicated. I have the Cricut but LOVE the Scan n Cut !!! Just saying. LOVE you and your style.😘
Thanks so much for this video! This is all brand new to me. I just got a Silhouette for my birthday and yes, it does do the 2 different cuts. Not at once -you have to re-load it.
Lisa Hurst you can set up a cut by colour and then make the outside border cut line a different colour and use two different settings for each colour of cut line
I make the outline selecting the magic wand in the drawing layer, créate a new layer underneath, then click selection>modify > expand (put the píxels you want to add to the extra thickness) and paint that selection, it is much precise and way faster 😃
Very helpful lovely tutorial! I find a lot of other "How To" sticker videos will skip steps in between and not show us, which kind of leaves me confused on the next step. This was very thorough and concise! Thank you!
This is SO helpful!! I would really like to make my own stickers for planners too, however for stickers that cover weekly squares ext how would you size those correctly so that they fit the spreads correctly?
I saw this vid in my subscription box and squealed! Thank you love for taking the time to make this! I've always wanted to make my own stickers just for me, but I was missing the little parts to make it happen. You're awesome!
I have been watching so many of your videos in the past day and they are amazing! I am starting to make teacher stickers because I am going into my first year teaching and all of your videos have been so helpful! I just placed an order from your Etsy and can't wait to receive my goodies!! Thanks again!!
Silly question but do you change the paper type manually on your printer as well to match your computer preferences? For example If you print with semi gloss on your cricut printing preferences do you also change it to that setting on your printer before you print it, hehe. ☺️
Thank you Catherine... as for the Silhouette Cameo... yes, it does have the option for two cuts... another thing I've noticed from watching this tutorial is that with the Cameo, the step to draw a white line around everything is not necessary... the software provides an option... Thanks again for sharing your knowledge, as well as your absolutely delightful self... You Da Best!!! :)
It actually seems like the silhoutte is possibly a better option for business! I really want to buy one and try it out heheheh but now I have two cricuts OOPS hehehehe
Wow. Thanks so much for this video. I was one of many that request it. Is so lovely that you try to make us happy by granting us with this videos. Blessings
On Silhouette studio you can pick multiple different colors for different cuts. And you can pause/unpause them so you don't cut all colors with the same blade size :)
I love this video! It’s actually inspired me to take my art in a new direction. I am starting out in the art world as I’m going to art school soon and this is really amazing stuff. Thank you!
I think I've watched all your videos ^_^ There's always such a great little time to be had. LOVE the new studio!! (....except for the part where you're currently stuck burning up in the sun...). When you're doing the initial sketches and colouring on your ipad, what resolution and canvas size do you use? Do you start with a larger canvas/higher dpi before moving everything into photoshop? THANK YOU THANK YOU for sharing!!!! BLESS
Hello, im curious as to what dpi you have your format in procreate. basically, how you go about setting up your file before you even begin sketching. I have been trying to print out my own and i cant seem to get the resolution and the quality of my stickers to be as good as yours. Im thinking its my settings. Please advise I have been dealing with this for a whole week now. Thank you so much for your time and for sharing your work with all of us!!!
Hi! Thank you for this tutorial! I have experimented with the stickers setting and discovered that there is a "sticker paper" setting within the custom settings! You can adjust the pressure based on how sharp your blade is too :). Also, you can create a cut line line in a different color that will allow you to cut the sticker sheets out easily with the cricut :)
Thank you so much for everything you share! You have answered so many of my questions in your videos. The one thing I would love to know and am having trouble finding info on is where to get heavier weight sticker paper and you mention it in this one so I thought I'd ask. Loads of info for US sites, just very little here in the UK.

Is only one rectangle enough to cut through?
wow I never thought of trying this! I've tried so many things without success, but I'll definitely give it a go! Thanks !!!
Lisa Herrera hey! I add like 5 rectangles in design space so it cuts through the back 5 times to make sure it goes through all the way for mine!
I use the gray square cut thingy on the side bar. I just changed the measurement, color, and set it to print. if you like the curved corner look, you can type in rectangle in the design space, and look for one that has curved corners. hope this helps @@peachitas
I usually add like two to three extra rectangles for self-assurance lol @@gtoxot1099
Your so darn clever Kat! your personality shines like a beacon of light! such enthusiasm and excitement, your brilliant!! 👍
Watching you illustrate is so satisfying! I love your artwork and I love how much the drawing brightens when you line them and add the white background!
Could you do a tutorial on how to make the sticker backing for the stickers? I’m new to the whole making stickers and you just make it look so easy!
I just opened up my etsy shop for stickers and you got me started. I think you're the only store I favourite right now LOL. Anyways, thank you so much!
you look like the definition of the soft pastel aesthetic, i love it!
I love this. Thanks so much for sharing! I am in no way opening a shop. Too much work. Hands down to all you. But i do make stickers for myself and close friends and kids and the coloring of background in procreate was a big help! Needed to show you that love. Thanks again.
I just found your channel. I love using stickers in my planners, and you are saving me so much money.
This was uploaded at the perfect time for me! I just purchased a Cricut Explore Air 2 today!!
I am so excited to have found your video on cutting the stickers on the sticker header. It was very easy to understand. Thank you!
You're a goddess. I was feeling so defeated trying to get this darn technology to do the thing! Thank you so much for sharing so generously your knowledge and I love your bright disposition. Not to mention how everything you own coordinates, I appreciate that so much!! Love your channel, you're an inspiration!

Oh my goodness thank you thank you!!! That seriously means the world what a huge compliment! YOU DA BEST 🌸😍
as an aspiring artist who looks up to you for a load of inspiration and help, this is so very helpful!! I hope you’ll make more how-to videos in the future. keep doing your thing! you da best!
I appreciate you so much in general. You’re so cheery. But I love that you posted this tutorial. I’m struggle making my stickers so much lately.
Also Moe Howard offers a tutorial on how to get the cricut to cut out the sticker sheets.
Thank you! You guys have been super helpful!
i literally am obsessed over your aesthetic, your creativity, you inspire me!!
I have a small online business and I now can make my logo stickers 😃 Thank you 😘
Thank you kindly for taking time from your busy life to share. Which ipad do you recommend? Looking to purchase one. Blessings
i had the silhouette cameo 3 and really liked that feature (that i more than miss on the cricut), BUT the sensor of the silhouette was a pain in the butt.... that‘s why i sold it and switched to the cricut. thank you for this wonderfull video!! will buy this cute sheet as soon as the gingie & spice pin comes out!! ❤️❤️❤️
Your blue sweater is sooo nice, I love all the pastels in your videos!
Thank you so much for this tutorial- I am starting my art shop next month and wanted a clear tutorial on how to make sheets. So helpful!
Hi! I love all your videos and this one came right on time! I was planning to add some sticker sheets on my Etsy shop ☺️ Can you tell me what sticker paper are you using? I've tried various brands but the quality is not the best.... 😬
Hey Christina!!
Just want to say, you are the cutest and sweetest girl ever. Love your accent and THANK you for always being so helpful. You’re the best!
Absolutely love this video! ❤ yes I’m binge watching you at the moment 😅
Yess! I've been hoping you would make this video, from one Catherine to another Catherine YOU DA BEST! ❤️🌸❤️
I'm also using a cricut, and all of these steps, but I need to do regular calibrations to get the cuts to align with my stickers. Any suggestions?
I used to have the same problem as you! I had to cut out the edges as well. But, I have figured out a way for the Cricut to do it for you. Just stack your background layer up multiple times ( i do 5 ) and then align them. Then, it goes around the outside multiple time's and cuts all the way through!
So excited for this video. Everyone seems to use the Silloette and do videos on those, gah. Thanks love!
For the cricut you can add a square to the outline of your artwork square... then duplicate it. Sometimes you may have to do three squares to do three cuts depending on the paper.
Thank you for this helpful video. Your designs are so charming!
P.S. I use the Brother Scan N Cut to cut out my stickers. Less steps , less complicated. I have the Cricut but LOVE the Scan n Cut !!! Just saying. LOVE you and your style.😘
Shirleyjl1 I’ve never heard of this.
I did it!! I followed your youtube on making stickers and Circut even cut me a outside border . I am so excited to send these to my Grandson....
This is one of the most helpful videos I have watched!!! Thank you soooooo much
I make the outline selecting the magic wand in the drawing layer, créate a new layer underneath, then click selection>modify > expand (put the píxels you want to add to the extra thickness) and paint that selection, it is much precise and way faster 😃
If you don’t find “expand” then it is grow
Very helpful lovely tutorial! I find a lot of other "How To" sticker videos will skip steps in between and not show us, which kind of leaves me confused on the next step. This was very thorough and concise! Thank you!
It’d be so cool to actually see your own drawing in a sticker sheet, thanks for this vid!!
I loved your video!!! The instructions were very clear... good job!! You rock!
Hi! Thank you soooo much for taking the time to explain all the steps in such detail! I absolutely loved ❤️ this video.
Great video! I found it very helpful. I love the look of your office too! Thanks for the tips
Aargh ... I have so much to do today but here I am watching your video ! 🌸
hehehe I hope you like it!
I love your style seriously everything is so cute.
You’re right about the silhouette, I have one and yes, you can do different cut lines for the stickers.
Blessings
You are so talented! Found you from a Facebook group I’m in. New to the Cricut, and can’t wait to get started.
Thanks for great process video, going to get my Cricut this weekend :)
BLESS
Thank you, I watch you all the time.
