The 1st SodaStream I bought was the one where you press the button on top. After a few uses, the top exploded and damaged my finger and hand from parts flying everywhere. I contacted them and they sent me a free replacement 2 times (both were broken upon receipt). Then they sent me this model free. The silver bar in the front was not attached and hanging but I was happy to have one that worked, so kept it. I recently bought new plastic bottles that are supposed to be for every model but they are too long for this one - lol. The Revolution is not even listed on their website now. I used to get gas bottles and plastic bottles at Bed Bath & Beyond, but they went out of business. I still like the machine and use it. Good review from you.
Personally I prefer the simpler, cheaper models. I've had the Sodastream Classic for a couple of weeks now, and I couldn't be more pleased with it. I've been wanting one for years, but this video prompted me to finally go out and get one. Picked it up for 60-something Canadian, worth every penny. I'm looking into the attachments so that you can use a standard C02 cannister, would certainly save a bit of coin.
i have one of the originals and i love it! me and my mom love carbonated water an its great not to spend so much on it. we got ours off hsn and they by far are the best! we got ours on the special and it came with two boxes of samples, two colas, 3 bottles, and the machine. plus the other flavors like the crystal light ones are super tasty!
If you carbonate the already flavored bottle, the content of the bottle bursts out, like a shaken sodas. I think diet series are OK, but anyway you don't want sticky content on carbonating straw, so try avoid putting flavor before carbonating.
It's pronounced baa tin, not butt in. It would be nice if you pointed the SodaStream at the camera so we could we could see it instead of you looking at it. Nice job keep up the good videos. BTW, the cap has an "O" ring inside it. You don't have to tighten as hard as you are doing. That will eventually ruin the cap. Just tight enough so it doesn't leak.

So basically all that vs just buying a 2liter at Walmart for $1.50
Disagree. It's much less expensive than you mention, and the flavors are good. This is also about helping the earth. Did you know that over 3 billion plastic bottles are thrown away per year? This could help stop that.
Got mine, albeit a cheaper 'base' model, the Sodastream Classic, for well under a hundred with flavours + an extra tank. I disagree with you on the taste as well, some of them are garbage, granted, but the Lemon-Lime, Root Beer and Diet Cola are all quite good. In fact, the Lemon Lime I'd personally favor over 7up or Sprite, it's really good.
This model does not make better soda then the older push button ones, it just makes it a one button operation. You can't take it with you for tailgating or the beach, if you were so inclined. This one you have to plug into the wall, and it will draw small amounts of electricity 24/7, what is called a transformer vampiric draw. The older models make you push the button 3 or 4 times until it hisses. Is it really worth paying about $100 more and taking up another plug, just for one-button convenience?
