Three years late finding this Kate. Watching you and Anna reminds me of the times I spent with my lovely mother in law when I was young. Her farmhouse home was cosy and welcoming like yours. She kept chickens and always had some craft or other on the go. Very enjoyable to watch.
Dear Kate, we are usually buying a cut tree, because we do not have a garden to plant it later and maybe it would die before because I'm not that good with plants 😂 It's such a pleasure to see that you are surrounded by such sweethearts like Anna. So nice that she is helping you so much during Christmas time and with the Christmas Boxes. Your son made a good choice 😉
I know this was 4 years ago but it was like it was today…..as it’s five days to Christmas 2023 in this small town in Montana. No snow to speak of. It’s that in between time where it feels like spring a few times a day and the sun is quite happy to play with us. And then night comes and bursts that bubble!🤣 And I so needed this video. So much to do still with our church outreach and breads and cookies to bake. And we’re all getting sick. Had to go to emergency myself Monday. Got some meds and am better but it knocked the wind out of my sails. Love the drives through the countryside. Merry Christmas to you and family. Love you all.🦋

I admit it's hard and I miss London at this time of the year but I do my best to celebrate Christmas alone with my animals. 😁 have a wonderful Christmas and please don't be sad, just enjoy it alone. I was chuckling to myself as you spread the trees out trying to decide which one to take. You were very thorough and looked at every one. Anna, never be embarrassed, you are beautiful! Kate is very fortunate to have you in her family.

You seem to have a lovely relationships with your daughter-in-law Anna. My daughter-in-law Bonnie is my very best friend! Seeing you and Anna makes me miss her terribly. They moved out of state the end of October. My husband and I will be moving near them as soon as he retires (a year and a half to go) . I'm on the central coast of California and Bonnie is now in Idaho.

What a wonderful afternoon with Anna and Kate discussing the appropriate degree of wonky.
I love this video. We now know that (a) the police come out when Kate buys something from the garden centre (b) Kate drives fast, with one hand on the wheel and one eye on the road and (c) Kate can fit herself, Anna, a tree and lunch into her very small car. What a lovely morning out and exactly the right tree picked from a retailer with expertise in fitting trees into cars. For a minute there I feared that Anna would be left at the garden centre but no, there is always a way. ❤. Kate, if you read this all our love. I’m watching all of your videos again and missing you lots but take your time and we’ll love having you back when you are ready. ❤❤❤

I always enjoy any road/village footage, love to see glimpses of everyday rural England. However, Kate and Anna enjoying a Christmas ritual together has me smiling. You both seem to be lovely souls, and how wonderful that you are now family members too. Life doesn't get any better than that!
Beautiful countryside. Lucky tree has come home. I have always bought a live tree as well but stopped buying a tree. Now I pick up fallen evergreens on my walks and make an alter. I also put lights on my Redwood tree that is still in a pot outside...It is about 3 years old and it is a treasure. I got it at a local native nursery when out on a day with my dearest friend. She has since passed so the tree is a daily connection to her.

My husbands birthday is November 29. While the children are growing up it was a tradition to buy him a living tree for his birthday. However he always wanted a Charlie Brown tree so the kids would find one that needed extra Luv maybe the bar was touring we’re only had three limbs and by the time the kids grew up the property was covered with beautiful trees some two stories tall that he loved back to health. I remember one that he wrapped in gauze because the bark was all torn. Made him happy you’re around to see those trees with it once been neglected and sad now tall and grand.
My birthday is a little earlier in December (the ninth) and when my kids were little we would celebrate my day and wait until the next day to get our tree and decorate. At some point that shifted to our getting the tree on my birthday, but I didn’t mind. It was a nice way to celebrate. And decorating would commence the next day. But I was older. It’s harder for young children. Kudos to you for giving your daughter some special time before beginning the Yuletide celebrations.
Anna is a lovely, caring person! Maybe in the coming year, John could come and put more pins in your map... It's always fun to watch the interaction between the two of you and also to see the scope of your interaction with u-tube watchers and supporters. Take care.

Love your little car and the color is beautiful. The Christmas tree is sweet even if it is a little wonky. It will be happy at your home, because you will give it love. The drive was gorgeous with the sun low and the clouds.

Oh now this took me back down memory lane! Many years ago we lived in a rented house called High Teppermoor - it was on the Roman road north of Humshaugh and the highest spot for miles. We could be having heavy snow at the cottage but in Hexham it would just be a bit drizzly! The Waitrose was then Safeway and we would usually stock up in the winter months 'just in case'! I also had the same tree dilemma - the poor man at the garden centre assured me he could get it into any car (not a monster tree - only about 4 foot tall), but he definitely blanched when he saw my little Beetle. The only solution was to drive the 6 miles home with the tree sitting next to me and the roof down - thank goodness it wasn't raining! Thank you - this was a lovely journey.
I laughed at you trying to decide if the tree would fit in the car. I once offered my sons friend a lift home from a school concert forgetting I was in the mini. We spent 20 mins trying to fit me, two 6 foot teenage boys and a cello in there. We managed it in the end - just!
I'd love your 4 degrees please, its a sweltering 44 here today. Im inside with the air-con on recovering my dining chairs with some lovely bird fabric waiting for the cool change to arrive and enjoying your videos

Oh, I loved this video! Thank you for taking us along. I felt as if I was right there with you. I wish our countryside looked like yours does right now. All told, we've had more than 50 inches of snow so far, with minus 23 degree f. temps. I envy you! At this point I'd swap northern Wisconsin for the English countryside in a heart beat! 😁

Kate, you and Anna have the same lovely relationship as I do with my mother-in-law. I have to laugh at the horrible MIL stories I hear; I have been blessed for over 40 years with a true second mom, even more so since my mom passed away in 2015. What a fun day ! I wish I had gut energy. I loved the drive but I almost had a heart attack when I saw the car on the wrong side of the road lol , well the wrong side for me.

I love seeing the drives through the Northumbrian countryside & the traditional Dent stamping ground. They originally came from Haltwhistle but had branches in Haydon Bridge, Hexham & near Langley tile works, not forgetting my OH's branch that went even further afield, to Sunderland.

I love to watch you because you’re living the life I would if I was well. I don’t say this in an envious way as such because I don’t mean it with any malice...I’m very happy for you and glad you can do all that you do. I’m 49 but suffer with a chronic illness which gives me little energy to do things. I spent today (the shortest day) in bed feeling very unwell and weak. But the positive is I only missed the shortest day and there are many others where I will be able to do some crafting or enjoy the fresh air. Many blessings to you and yours this Christmas.

Every post I watch I think this is my favorite and then the next day here is another great post and i think here is my favorite one. I absolutely love that coat and blue stockings they match so perfectly. I am amazed to watch someone drive to me on the wrong side of the road. LOVE the Christmas tree you made the right choice. I love the way you and Anna interact with each other a lot of love you can tell. You are blessed Kate to have Anna for a daughter-in-law they are precious jewels.

Lovely trip to the shops! We Canadians talk the weather all the time too. It’s the thing you can open any conversation with. “That was a bit of a winter-y drive” or “the wheat will love this sun”. Season dependent so nice to see more of Anna next you tube star!
