i like how toyota engineers used their brains and put the air filter compartment in the front of the engine bay making it easily accessible. on honda CR-Vs the thing is all the way in the back.

For sure ! This thing is pretty well designed . The performance of it is really incredible especially with its mpg in hybrid mode still 40mpg

First time here and thanks John for video. My Toyota care just ended on my Prime ('21 XLE) and now have to do it myself! This will def. help. 😀👍

Same with me, I didn’t see any prime videos so I did one 👍. It’s such an easy service there’s no reason to pay 100.00. -150.00 labor for a dealership to do it if you are not afraid to do .

I have been researching the oil change issue and I decided to do it at 1k, 5k, 5k interval after that. I put in a K&N air filter. I have a 2024 Rav4 prime se.

What size tires are you using? The XLE Hybrid standard has 17 inch tire/rims. I know they are not an option for the prime from the factory, however i believe they would improve the ride a little.

They are the standard 225/65/R17. In this case they don’t help the ride noticeably probably because they are a little stiffer than the oem Dunlops that are designed to be low rolling resistance more than anything else . Btw those tires were done at 29500 miles . One thing to be aware of some 17 inch wheels will not clear the Primes bigger front calipers. I got these on marketplace and I took some measurements before I bought them as soon as I got home with them I test fit and there’s plenty of clearance I only went with 17 inch because, the tire cost is a lot less and those are what we’re available. I really wanted another set of OEM wheels in 18 inch.Tires are 40-50.00 more a peice just going from 225/60/18 to 225/65/17. Crazy .

I don’t like the badges . It’s so much cleaner looking without them . I didn’t hurt them they can go right back although I don’t know why anyone would want to advertise for Toyota . Those who know , already know , 2 fuel fills , twin piston front calipers you can see thru the rims and I left the prime decal .
