I personally would never run a Condor plate carrier. From my experience, they just don't hold the plates that well, but their chest rigs are fine. I've since upgraded to a Haley strategic heavy, but I've still got my Condor chest rig. I keep it around in case I've gotta lend it to someone if shtf, I've also been running the Condor LCS gun belt for almost 5 years. The only real problem I have is that the buckle on it will break with use, so I replaced it with a cobra buckle, but it's great. People at the range will laugh at it saying "it's Condor, it sucks," but I used it in the Marines, and it's never given me any real problems. A lot of other marines also use it because it's cheap, and it works. You are spot-on with the idiocracy reference and that is a great movie and we are kind of already there I think. I'm also glad someone else is making videos about Condor equipment because when I first started buying Condor gear a few years back I was under the impression after I bought it but it was airsoft stuff but when I was looking at it I was like well this is pretty good quality stuff. So I wasn't sure if the airsoft reference was real but I saw an interview with one of their sales and marketing guys that shot show this year and he talked about how they did start out doing Airsoft equipment but they have moved into legitimate tactical gear and I think the quality in this product shows as well as the price it's unbeatable. Except maybe for Tacticon Armament gear. I'm actually really interested in that water bladder bag you got there cuz I didn't know you could use it to carry gear that's pretty cool.
Good option 👍👍🤙. I have tried a few but keep coming back to my smersh ak rig. Got it before Ukraine heated up. Glad I did because the price for one has doubled.
@@907schoolietech8 it's not secret knowledge. The USA keeps troops in Poland year round. Have a Condor. Added tacticon 3 mag panel on one side to give 3 additional rifle mags and it has 3 mag slots. Tacticon seems to be durable enough gear at a decent price. Nice video. Watching from the other side of the galloping ghirdie. ❤
One thing to people hesitant to buying condor is to buy one and see for yourself. I bought one rig before I heard people say they’re cheap quality so I was shocked to hear it. Because once I got it out of the package I was impressed by the $30-50 dollar chest rig quality, it was really good and really tough.
@@AsymmetricalPreparedness question Mike. Since I have a small budget. My biggest concern is being able to carry enough Ar15 and couple handgun magazines, my flashlight, and easy access to my fix blade knife while patrolling. Can I set up a chest rig to do that and just use my day backpack to carry random other things. Like first aid, water, emergency blanket/settler, and poncho or is it just to uncomfortable to wear a chest rig and day backpack? I just need advice which way to go. Your videos are great btw thanks.
Condor is definitely good gear! A veteran-owned company that values quality at a fair price. I also love their ball caps; I have several (OD Green, Multicam, Black, Coyote tan).
I've got a Condor belt that I'm using in a professional environment and it has been so useful in my role. I am a little upset that this chest rig doesn't have the capability to use a dangler as I've come to prefer that as my IFAK, but this is still something that I'll look more into.

I have a couple Condor MCR-3 rigs. They come slick so I've set them up for different long guns (AR and shotgun). I suggest you check out their Stowaway Chest Rig for a low profile, minimalist rig. Thanks Michael.
Have you considered a comparison between chest rigs, plate carriers, and the old fashioned LBE? I started playing Army forty-some years ago with an LBE. Once you got past field grade and flag officers trying to dictate what hip the canteen was worn or the way the poncho was folded over the back of the belt, or which strap to wear the pouch with the field dressing, they could be pretty useful and comfortable.
