I have also used a smaller chest rig without mags above the vest, but havent practiced drawing mags with it on yet. Remember, old gear was state of the art at one time. Never underestimate surplus.
LBV's sucked ass though. Those giant shoulder pads caused all kinds of shoulder injuries when it was time to ruck up. In the summer time even the gen 2 mesh body vest trapped body heat, and caused heat injuries. Since I mentioned the mesh, that shit was like a cheese grater on your nipples.

Do you have any links to these rigs and harnesses?
Hit my linktree to check put the TAPs on Sportsmans guide. Trexarms.com for the harness
Where can you buy this rig
They removed your linktree account that you link to in your description
Haa I had 20 mags in my vest but I didn't load them with ammo I'd die of being weighted down
Snagged one for $13. Shouldve got 2
T-rex arms H-harness, backstrap, and HSGI bungees. Spent more money on that than the rig but it is 100% worth it.
Reject modern, overpriced, "high-speed" kit. Return to milsurp.
The ammomaxxing will continue until morale improves.
What's a good strap upgrade if I don't wanna give any money to TREX or his crazy cult?
Hit up Free State Outfitters or order the Fat strap from Spiritus

As of 2/18/2024 this is $45 on Sportsman's Guide. Might get it for my shotgun cards! If your problem can't be solved by a shotgun, then it can't be solved. ;-)

What is that battery container?
Thyrm cell vault check out 2 videos back I cover them pretty in depth Battery Safety video

16 AR mags?
oh yeah its wild I can fit a ton on that setup. I don't most I ever run is 10 total between belt and gun. Just speaking to what's possible
TT MK4
These are like omelets, put whatever you want in them.
Sound mixing on videos is awfully important. Viewers shouldn't have to turn the volume down during the intro and back up when you start talking. Something that separates high from low quality content is sound fidelity, levels, and of course video resolution. Good info, but it was tough to listen to.
3 mags and 1 in the gun is better than nothing, my current rig has 12 on the plate and 1 in the gun. I do have a micro rig that’s always in my truck I’d rather have that than nothing at all.
So you are running around with 12 mags? I call bullshit.
@@WilliamRepsher hey man everybody on UA-cam is a “minuteman” operator, dude probably can’t even see his own bird from how fat he is 😂 12 mags these people are 🤡 we live in America haha
Sportsmans Guide, Now there's a JOKE!
They are $40 now so not really a deal. Better to get higher quality at that price
$40 to hold 8 mags and have modularity for almost anything vs $150-$200+ rigs that only hold 4 mags. Yea nah
What’s your opinion on buying gear from temu
That harness looks a lot like someone took an old ALICE harness, removed the shoulder padding, and replaced the snap hooks with plastic buckles. No wonder it's awful.
That's spot on I cane up with the ALICE which had its shortcomings as well like modding the rear hooks to paracord so they didn't wreck your back under the kidney pad on the ruck. But the Y harness is pretty close except with less stability lol
Inexpensive, but not cheap, mil surp, or arts and crafts project from garages, small companies, are my speed.
Ok guys who is this type stuff for? Where or when would you really need this stuff?
Every prepared citizen/patriot.
Everyone determines their own needs. I've never used my home insurance. I guess I don't need it.
There ya go! I'll gladly take your home if you don't need it! I've never needed my car or motorcycle insurance, health insurance, or renter's insurance....I should offload all of that as well.@@mrmicro22
So pretty much fantasy survival as always?
@@yakfishin4912 know what else a FLC is good for? Backpacking, holding fishing gear, holding tools/gear while adventure riding (dual sports), holding paintball, airsoft, range larping gear AND combat gear if God forbid it came to. You're not an outdoorsman are you?
doomsday loadout
Show the rig and stop talking
