You’re the only speaker on Giftedness that actually describes the nuances of my day to day experiences. Thank you! 🙏🏼 Why do you speak so quietly on your videos? It sounds like you’re almost whispering to avoid being heard 😂
Completely agree with the other comments here. As a gifted adult myself, and someone who is asynchronous (much more when i was younger), this is definitely the best explanation of the experience for REAL LIFE gifted people that I have heard. Yes, this is very different than the fictional characters you see on television and movies. The "factory setting" of your brain that you were given at birth. PERFECT way to describe it. P.S., I can hear you just fine. I think your speaking voice is perfect.
My interpersonal intelligence is incredibly high, and I have an abnormal degree of charisma and social skill. I’m also profoundly gifted. It is a rare degree of social skill, but it’s rare amongst neurotypical people as well as gifted people. That is to say, I’m an example of your example that we’re not all socially awkward like Sheldon Cooper 😊 Also, thank you for doing what you do. This page is what I’ve been waiting for ever since I learned I was gifted. I need more info on giftedness than what there is. It not only helps me for me, but it helps me solidify my ability to be an advocate for and in support of gifted and generally neurodivergent people.
This is so true. There are so many greys when it comes to giftedness. At 11, I enjoy STEM and am great at it, so it becomes all the more difficult since generalization is inevitably made.
No one is like Sheldon. He’s a fictitious tv character. Anyone that behaves like him in real life would be quickly unemployed. Regardless of talent or gifting. He is a HR nightmare that would be better dealt with in the unemployment line. Even with the gifted people I work with. They know how to behave.
