There are rules on the road in India…..first rule: the bigger you are, the more responsible you are for accidents. i.e. a truck is responsible for any accident it causes. If a car collides with a bike, it’s the cars fault. A bicycle hits a pedestrian, it’s the bike’s fault……Second rule, you must sound your horn and indicate when approaching traffic from behind. This encourages the driver in front to check his mirrors.
India drives on the left hand side, like the UK, that’s why the driver sits on the right. The issue in India that is problematic for us in the West is that we’re used to personal space, and this extends to our vehicles. In India, space does not be;one to you but to everyone. Once you spend a decent amount if time there, you get to understand the logic. You might understand it, but you’ll never get used to it.
I twisted my ankle when the pavement collapsed in Bangalore. Immediately there were 10-15 people genuinely wanting to help me. I was coming out of Wembley stadium near the Designer Outlet. I suffer from intercostal cramps. (The intercostal muscles are between the ribs and with the diaphragm help inflate and deflate your lungs). I had a bad attack on my left side. I release the cramp by punching myself in the ribs. I was doing this at peak time, I’m wearing a suit, carrying a briefcase, and all the others walking about ignored me. A homeless man came over and helped me, asked me if I was alright. This is the society we live in….self-indulgent and self-obsessed.
I used to tell the Indians “don’t lose your Indianess. Stop trying to be like Westerners because we are not what you should become.” I was referring to the greed and selfishness that pervades our culture. In Indian and all developing countries, those with the least always are happy to give the most. In our culture, those with the most wouldn’t give you the steam off their p1ss.

Good evening Noraly, from Bangalore Karnataka India. The bags you saw in the lorries could have been wheat grains sent to factories for processing in punjab. Most of the trucks are overloaded by atleast 2 tons hence the over height. The horses that you saw were being taken by nihal sikhs a warrior tribe of sikhs if i an right. 15 lakhs is 15,00,000.
Thank you for showing the places where i have not travelled. Shows much of india that needs to be explored.

Every living species on Earth has the right to have a paradise and this is undoubtedly the paradise of rats ! Personally I don't make a difference between races but here I find it extraordinary and beautiful ! There is a sanctuary like this in Japan for rabbits, Okunoshima Island. and one valso for foxes, at the Zao Fox Village in the heart of the Miyagi mountains, in the northeast of Japan. and Rottnest Island to, in south west australia, house of the Kokka, considered “the happiest animal in the world” by Australians !

Superb and informative video as always! Indias' road culture is very simular to us here in Indonesia. Road is road, use any part of it that you can regardless of 'any rules', When on a motorcycle travelling at any speed, someone will always overtake you and cut in, almost wiping out your front wheel then they slam on the brakes. The mathamatical equation for loading a truck in Asia is: Multiply the capacity of the vehicle by 2 then add 50%. You must visit Indonesia one day, Sumartra, onto Java, then Bali and Lombok. Great people, great food, great vistas, shit roads 😁

I’ve been to Deshnoke some four years ago. It was a lovely Sunday morning visiting this rat temple. While getting rid of my shoes I was greeted by a rat hiding in the shoe shelves just outside. My first impression inside the temple were wet socks and some not so liquid thingies tickling my feet. It took me a while to recognise what that thingies exactly were. 🙈 It is intense, it is special, rats are literally everywhere. I will never forget that Sunday morning. Afterwards I was cuddling some young cows just outside the temple while I was waiting for the rest of the group. Thanks for sharing your video. Take care!
