Wow Miguel! Fantastic review and shoutout to those amazing content creators for warhammer quest that keep the game alive for us. Thanks! And also thanks to Littlemonk, Alberto and the rest of the amazing WHQ community!
Games Workshop knocked it out of the park with this game; I'm thinking they just created a lot of this almost by accident with minimal (if any) playtesting and it just worked. Our group had it's best adventurers get up to level 5 when our group dissolved but I remember the antics of Ricky (our player running a Trollslayer) that would fail fear tests against skeletons and his quote "Oh my god, dem's walking bones!" but would face down ogres and trolls without blinking. Les ran a Pit Fighter that was an absolute beast against lower level monsters (being able to customize that character, especially with extra attacks was huge) and my Witch Hunter seemed to have an amulet, trinket or prayer for almost anything. Great times and glad I found Littlemonk and got some of his material; really top notch production quality.
The randomness of it all makes the game very fun and challenging at low levels. It is meant not to take it too seriously. That is quite obvious! However, if you survive for long enough, then you feel compelled to come back and play again and again, as if fate needs you to tell a story. As a single afternoon game, it works quite well. As an accidental campaign, it is fantastic!
My friend...I have already thanked you privately for this beautiful initiative of yours but I think it is only fair to do it publicly as well!!! In this video you have collected not only the emotions and experiences of some of us related to this fantastic game...but of an entire community that daily actively contributes to the development and survival of WHQ95!!! So THANK YOU Miguel...and Thanks to ALL of you!🙏🏻😉🍻
They are very different. Silver Tower, Blackstone Fortress, Cursed City... they all are different games that have the Warhammer Quest name on them, but quite different mechanics, scopes, and backgrounds. The original one is more open-world oriented, and multifaceted: it can be either a solo game, multiplayer, stand-alone games, or a whole campaign either with the basic rules and levelling up, either narrative with a game master. It has so much width and depth out of the box that makes all the others pale in comparison.
I still have my copy of mint copy of Warhammer Quest that I got the first day it hit the local shop. They need to bring this back like they did Hero Quest asap.
@@rushthewash Sure as long as they let people make what they want.......after all people make original tiles in Photoshop and other ways. They can't claim they own stories someone wrote for a game that they made decades ago that use rooms that he user creates. We fans have kept this game alive and I am sure they know fans make content for this and many other table top games.
@@rushthewash True, but new fans can't find Warhammer quest 95 as easy or as cheap as people could back on day one when it came out in shops. I love and respect all the fan made stuff but it is getting harder for new fans to find a original box without it being damaged or missing parts. I am sure the makers know that fans keep this alive with fan created stuff.
If you want the legit stuff, it is increasingly difficult. However, if you are happy with using newer or alternative miniatures, dungeon tiles, dice... etc, there are many options. I bought mine when I could pay for it 200 usd. Nowadays it is at least double that, if not more. Nostalgia has a price.
I haven't tried that one yet. There is also a Spanish remake that has random dungeon generation, but uses cards! :) Might need to pick one up one day... 🤔
Go to the FB groups, I put the links in the first comment, you might find someone selling theirs. Life gets in the way of the hobby quite often, and people move on and sell stuff they held dear once.

LOVE old school Warhammer Quest! Love Warmaster and Blood Bowl as well!
You have good taste, that is for sure!
@rushthewash Painting a Vampire Counts army for Warmaster
Always tempted to get into Warmaster. New 3d prints or old minis?
Have you seen my VC army for Warhammer Fantasy video?
Excellent ! I wasn't aware of such a thriving community ! Great homage to that game ! Well done Miguel !
One day I need to talk about other games that have a following too! Old stuff never dies, it seems!
The video we never knew we needed but did!
Glad you enjoyed it! I hope we cross paths in the Warhammer World underworld!
Love a bit of Warhammer Quest content, great video Miguel! 🔥
I need more than a bit, but thanks for watching, Alex!
Wonderful video!

well finding it is very difficult. If you can find it, the expense is insane
Download and print the rulebook and tiles. Proxy the minis. Enjoy the insane amount of content from Little Monk!

@steveisaak4320 Warhammer Quest Little Monk. Google that up. Join the forum. Thank me later.
I am not familiar with Warhammer Quest but isn't there a new edition already, called "Silver Tower"...?

Mordheim has been kept alive by the community as well as people like Tuomas Pirinen. That limbo has worked well for it.

Advanced Heroquest is a better system and doesn't need all those cards. It just takes a little fine tuning.

I did like the D12 system as it makes the game a bit more random, rather than 1 in 6 chance of getting repeat events during combats.
The solution is house-ruling, I guess. A couple of tweaks go a long way on making any game more enjoyable for each group.
Great video, but is sad that makes me want a game that i will never have....
Why not? The world is full of surprises! You never know what you mind find in a friend's house, a second hand store or a flea market!
WHQ is 100% getting re-released about 1 year after Old World comes out. Can guarantee it.
That would be something to behold!
That's all I want. The same game, dont have to change anything, just re release it
They would sell a lot of copies amidst the old schoolers, that's for sure!
Don't you do that. Don't you make me hope.
@huwtindall7096 making people hope...
I'd pay $500 for a complete copy.
