Metal Detecting SEVEN North Dakota Abandoned Homes

- Metal detecting in north dakota - Thanks to Jared for inviting me to his family's property that includes thousands of acres and 20 turn of the century abandoned properties! The "Box full of Guns and Gold" that was suppose to be dug up the following day was not done, because the exact location is not known, but it's narrowed down to a 10 acre area. Maybe next time we go metal detecting!

Thanks again for coming up to N.D.
You gotta make it to colorado with him! Lookin forward to the MN episode man, you were great. Feels like you and Klesh have been friends for a long time
Anytime Jared and thanks again for inviting me up. Next time we meet will be in Minnesota and we will be looking for some GOLD!
I moved to rugby ND, From Montana a few years ago. I bought a Minelab Equinox 600, because of all the ghost towns out here. I haven't seen anyone, metal detecting out here, in the two years I lived here.
@@johnmajka5404 how does it feel being farther away from the ocean then any other place in north america
LOVED PETE'S HOUSE. LOOKS LIKE FUN WAS HAD. DRONE FOOTAGE WAS A GREAT TOUCH.
It was!
That GM key 🔑 (General Motors) not Ford Branded, most likely to be from a Chevy model car,
Yep! An old 60's chevy I think
Those old farm houses have so many tales to tell. If you listen closely you can hear the ghosts whisper them in your ear. Nice thanks for sharing.
Yes they do
random you tube search for north dakota and I find my dear friend Jared lol AWESOME!!!
NoDak is an amazing and magical place. Thanks for making this video.
Dang.... was looking forward to the Millennium trunk with the gold and guns........ hope you can get some of that footage.....
Me too!
I guess the next time I threaten someone with a rusty spoon, I know where to get one. LOL! Great video and hunt! The wood from the grain silo would be awesome for a rebuild with all the writing on it!!
Yeah that old grain mill was pretty cool! I'm surprised those structures are still standing, it's so windy there
Love the drone. It really adds perspective to the sites you're on.
It does!
You’d love bottle hunting klesh, specially under floor boards and in creeks & old dumps ect… Nothing beats a hand blown bottle display, specially in your origin got awesome blob tops and tons of history, specially fellow UA-camrs that’d happily take you out there
Nice video! Thanks for sharing! Love to see what my neighbors to the north are finding in the Dakotas!
Fort Wayne delivery went well. Might have to wait a month for panning. Kid’s Birthday gift. Thanks for another awesome delivery time! You rock Shane!
Have fun!
Lol! The amount of disdain in your voice when you said "modern Schlitz can" at 6:07 precisely echos my own sentiments.
Yeah lots of litter everywhere kind of pisses me off
Those places are so rustic and awesome. Nice old vehicles and tours of the old structures. You found a nice variety of old relics. Thanks for sharing!
Yes they are!
I have been in there. I had wore the ground a good deal crawling out of the hole and dragging out so many things. So I fixed that as good as I could from the outside by scattering dust on the place, which covered up the smoothness and the sawdust. Then I fixed the piece of log back into its place, and put two rocks under it and one against it to hold it there, for it was bent up at that place and didn’t quite touch ground. If you stood four or five foot away and didn’t know it was sawed, you wouldn’t never notice it; and besides, this was the back of the cabin, and it warn’t likely anybody would go fooling around there.
Love the old cans! Thank you for the video!
In that first haul of stuff you guys found, the large rimmed bullet casing looks like it could be 7.62x54r used in a Russian Mosin Nagant
Nice!
@@Klesh its very common for these rifles to be used for hunting. They were first made in 1891. However the bullet they use is still made today. I would be curious what the markings on the casing were. The Mosin was often captured by occupying forces, such as the US
Thanks for sharing
cool day out metal detecting :) awesome looking round the old houses and some nice finds :)
Great video klesh. Enjoyed it
Glad you enjoyed
Looks like a great time! Glad you enjoyed yourself
It was!
Great video. Great info. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
I live in ND and wish I knew more places to go detect at. I have no idea where to go or who to ask permission lol. I don't think it's very popular here. Couldn't find others who like detecting out here
Ya I moved to ND a few years ago. I think your right, about it not being popular here. I got into metal detecting because of all the ghost towns out here.
Pretty good adventure I really enjoyed the video. I love to metal detect. Greetings from Dominican Republic
Lot of really cool finds. The engraving on that door handle was interesting. Almost feels like you're going back in time 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed
Awesome video dude , loved it 👍😎🌴
Glad you enjoyed it
Hay Shane . So Cool finding a Person willing to share the History of their land . He was excited too . Tks Guys
There was a series of Old Home's near my home in about 67 to 70 . It was all Bush . My friends and played their . We found these 3 cars from the 20s & 30s that were completely Overgrown & Vines in . I think we went Home and got some clippers . We got in those old stinky cars . People Worry about Mold ! The Mold We Breathed in those Cars . Wow I bet it was Beginnings of Mushrooms . Even the Wasps didn't set up Home . We did a burnt out ( as big as a Mansion ) ( huge farmhouse ) Went the first time at night . 1973 74 . About 8 of us Mugwumps . Went back maybe 4 or 5 later . in the Day . Some guy came after us . 5 story Home . We hid in these Charcoal Eves of the Place for an hr before this guy left . That Property has Four Mansions on it now . It was fun . As you get older you learn to create your Happy Trails . Tks again guys . This was Awesome . Stay Safe .
Thanks for watchign Rob!
I like it when trees grow around things
Yea that was cool
Seems like everybody is headed to the Dakotas lately. My brother and sister-n-law been camping in WI., MN., North and Sourth Dakota the past two weeks. Musky Lake Sayner WI. ; Sauk Centre MN. ; Washburn (on the Missouri river), Medora ND. ; Deadwood, Custer, Wall, Yankton SD.; Albert Lee MN. Beautiful country up there.
It’s really nice I agree thanks for watching!
My favorite was the flattened ballbearing casing, looked really cool ... and the parcel arrived yesterday, finally :-D
Great news on your paydirt arriving! Hope you enjoy it my friend
great video ;) and alot of findings ;)
Thanks for the visit
@@Klesh love your videos ;)
you are an great creator ;)
That's a lot of houses!
Jared has many lifetimes of relic hunting out there! It's constant targets of items from the early 1900's, we were just laughing at the amounts of stuff we found thanks for watching Chris!
The little "container" looks like the metal part of an old patch that was used to patch inner tubes around the fortys into the fiftys
That's what I was going to comment.
Correct!
Awesome day out, digging history.
Yes it was
Great drone work 👍. Great video as always bro 😎
Thanks 👍
Great video. Love old homesteads. Jared seems like a great person. Looking forward to your future videos. Hope Jared took some photos or video of the Y2K stash. That will be very interesting to see. Thanks again
Yeah I can't wait to see what he finds if and when it happens!
nothing like exploring old houses
Yea it was real cool!
Looking forward to the Minnesota episode! I'm in Rochester mn. The gold is here, it's just small. lol
Awesome! Im Going to ND from Arkansas first of June. Ill be looking for rustic architecture and cool landscapes.
Pretty cool my hometown is LaMoure, Edgeley is 20 miles away.
I was right there !
Good adventure buddy good to see yah need more time at that location

Love your video
I gotta take you around some of the old home sites in my neck of the woods, man.... colonial relics and post-colonial coins and such. loads of good places to go
Nice!

Yep!
Cool places to hunt!
So many plces too. This guy has a lifetime of spots to dig!
Hey Shane..... just to let you know, I ordered my very first paydirt today and it was from you. Ordered one bag of the beginner, and one bag of the regular one..... also ordered some miscellaneous panning items from amazon. Cant wait to be able to pan through that paydirt. Also really like your channel and wanted to support what you are doing. North Texas ;D
Thanks Obi wan I have a bunch of orders from today, I’ll be shipping first thing Monday morning!
Loved the video. These have been my nightly routine. Eat a bag of peanut butter filled pretzels and watch Klesh!
Love that!
Great trip, and alot of finds to question .Thanks Shane SEE YA LATER.
Glad you enjoyed it
In the haunted house I would be afraid at night. Very nice video greetings Peter
Many thanks
Little container.. volcanizing patch for inner tube. Red rubber was attached to outside the inside had a slow burning like gun powder. The patch was clamped and the rubber melted to the boot or inner tube
Sounds about right!
Thought you might find it interesting a 18 year old in the U.K. finds your content pretty interesting.
Very cool thanks Striff!
Wow you must lead a pretty boring life
Want to do something cool and interesting why don't you come to Ottawa the capital city of Canada there's supposed to be gold on the banks and bed rock right here in the city at a certain spot come see if you can find gold you get to see Ottawa best city in North America
Cheers from Switzerland :)
What no Coors cans. Looks like ya'll had fun. I wanted to see what was in the treasure chest.
If it's like the VA here it will be a 12hr drive followed by a 8 hr wait even though you had an appointment.
I've very fortunate that I go to the Denver VA which is a brand new facility and my appointments have been getting taken care of lightning fast, and on time, ever since 2016-2017. Thanks for watching!
Awesome !! @02:50 pulls hundred plus year old wooden lever, winged things fly out.
High 5 to Jarrod. Looking fwd to gold panning and doomsday trunk.
Brother, I hope you had your dip-tet (raising arizona)
No coins, nut high marks for adventure.
The drone is just enough to give a great perspective
Cheers from the Gul Coast
RADrockit snuffer bottle
Right!
7:23 it looks like a toy wagon from the 20's or 30's. Didnt they use lead paint in old toys.
12:36 that green glass looks almost like uranium glass. It glows really cool under uv light.
17:15 that house looks like it was beautiful in its prime.
I agree
Wow❤️
Thanks ;)
I wonder if that key was to one of thoes old abandon cars or trucks rusting away out there in thoes feilds.
It’s possible
Metal detecting by the beehives must have been fun , did you guys get buzzed? As a beekeeper I know bees don't like it when people are near their hives..
Yeah but nothing we can't handle ;) thanks for watching
Great video young man. I would like to be young and able to do what you do
Believe it or not, my back and knees are pretty messed up from some military accidents, lots of breaks, lots of time in between camera shots, but I do my best to keep it interesti9ng on camera for ya all. Thanks for watching!
Ok, weird question. Those shorts looked super comfy. Do you know where I can get a pair?
Absolutely man, not a weird question- my favorite outdoor gear is from Fjallraven! These are the “Keb Gaiter” pants, they zipper off to these shorts!
@@Klesh ahhhh yeah, the two tone gives it away. Didn't realize they had convertible pants! Thanks!
JARED?You.sure.that's.not.kid.rock?wheres.the.concert.dudes!!!
🤘
Nice hunting. I think your key belongs to a Chevy. General Motors in Australia is General Motors Holden. General Motors in the states is Chevrolet.
I have a 1959 Holden that the key looks very similar.
Cool!
One way gear is for starting model “T” or other hand crank start cars, it goes on the ENGINE end of the hand crank..when engine starts the gear kicks the hand crank out so your arm stays intact,,,,the key with multiple teeth is not that old, I have a 23 “T” and the key is very simple,,,can show you, in Colorado Springs,,thx
Thanks 🙏
Is that near in Logan final location scene made?
I ...don't know
@klesh in your opinion what do you think is the best metal detectors for both gold prospecting/coin hunting together (leaning towards coins) and one for gold prospecting only? 🤔
also love your videos 😄
I have a listing and short explanation of all my favorite prospecting/detecting gear here kleshkrums.com/prospecting-equipment
@@Klesh thank u I was hoping you had something like this 😄
You need to go back and try to help find the Y2K Stash.
Would be awesome!
I think the key is from a late 60s Dodge. The shot gun she'll is an early 70 mabey late 60 paper wrapped shotgn shell
My 71 d100 key had an octigon stile shape.
Christler
It's actualy an old chevy from the 1930's to the 60s thanks for watching!
💚🤟
Did he ever find the Y2k box?
I don't think so. I'll have to ask him when we do our "Minnesota" episode together.
@@Klesh looking forward to it!
no coin? thats a shame :(
I got a silver quarter from Jared but no coins in the ground for 10 hours of digging on these 7 home sites and fields.
I was looking at that key and thinking it looks just like my 1964 chevy pickup key and now I know and maybe that narrows the year down a bit closer,my cereal number is #9095 GM not to many digits off(312) crazy
Oh interesting
@@Klesh FYI I'm only the third owner,Gramps bought it brand new at the end of 63,went to my uncle then me still runs great, just put a new/rebuilt water pump on but it's all original
persimmons?
That.thing.you.think'is.a.peice.off.a.small.lantern.I.believe.it's.a.float.for.a.carberator.
Thanks for the info
Not a Model T key. Sorry. The head shape is wrong.
turn on the "iron reject" button next time... :)...
Had Iron Discrimination cranked to the max. Big iron still gives a good signal a lot of the times, so we had to dig.
Hey Shane I sent you a email on your products if you could please get back to me that would be great thanks
Hi please send another email I never got one
@@Klesh sent it
Greetings.I'm from Russia, and then you hand over this excavated metal? metallopoisk is very popular with us. people earn money from this hobby.
It might be recycled, but we trashed it. The reward for recycling it didn't warrant the time and effort
You need to go pan Utah. There isn't any good videos there being panned
Haven't found any locations for gold panning in Utah. I visit there quite often but can't seem to find a spot
