I love how excited you all got over the marbles! I love finding marbles. My mom always said "if you find a marble, someone that has passed is thinking about you"💕
I had the ultimate marble find. I was remodeling an old home, and had to clean out a bunch of stuff under the house. There was an old igloo cooler the large one. I grabed the handles thinking it was empty. Went to lift it up, and I thought I pull my arms out of there sockets. I was like WTF. Well I opened it up, and it was full to the top with marbles. Marbles of every size all diferent colors. It took me a week to sort through that cooler. The was the best day I had in a long time!
Hey buddy I have watched you grow up through your videos. I wish I was your age again my three sons are your age. Be safe out there and have a great time. And to God be the glory Greg in Tennessee
Holy moly the hot spot on that one guys light was so annoying, especially with it's high blue spectrum... I'd drop that thing off at goodwill and never look back
Michael, as always, it is a real treat to watch your videos and always eager to see what you find at old home sites! God bless for being you, and thanks for putting a smile on my face! Be safe and take great care man 😊. I definitely needed this inspiration for getting out into the world again!

I just heard you say that about finding a marble,, I haven't found one . But I found something else that I was made to stop cause been digging for hours & blisters . Way before I realized. Lol. A very larger ditch...lol they will be 100 years in 2031 . ..
Take the boards up and you will probably find a lot of marbles. Kid use to play marbles when you just had board floors and they would fall in the cracks. Especially on the porches of the old houses like that. Thanks for sharing.
One place to look for old coins is the mantel over the fireplace in any old home that was built pre-twentyenth century. Look between the support on either side of the mantel piece and the mantel itself. Builders would put a coin between the support and the mantel as a way of wishing happiness and good luck to the new owners of the house. Generally the bigger the house the higher the value of the coin. I learned about this from watching the local PBS station and they were featuring a guy who would go through old houses to salvage items before they were torn down. Hope you find something valuable.
Son, please carry an Epi-Pen with you because of your allergy to bees. 🐝 💉🐝 Fun hunt and a nice Indian artifact! ☺️ Digging for MARBLES and hunting snakes, featuring Nugget Noggin! 🐍👀
Yes, I usually carry that or Benedryal . I'm only allergic to yellow jackets but I imagine a bee hive wouldn't be fun to encounter. Thanks for watching! Marbles are always fun to find
I have to agree with you Michael. Marbles are everywhere. I have found many marbles while detecting in places that a marble just shouldn't be! And yet there they were! I love finding them every one of them is different!
Hi Nugget! Hope you enjoyed your visit to Texas. Glad that you are safe. Yes, got to watch for those awful rattlers. Thanks for another cool video. I live in Texas! I was born in Houston, but raised near Lufkin. I live in the Piney Woods area in East Texas. Take care, & God’s Blessings!
I was watching an older episode of yours where you found a quart mason jar it's got Atlas on the front Also there's an H above the A which stands for Hazel Atlas was a glass company from 1901 to 1964 Some of their stuff is extremely collectible
Wow!!! That second snake was frightening. You guys were certainly brave walking around in the dark where there were snakes. Nugget, great video. Keep them coming.
I'm fifty two Nugget, and I have never found a marble. Hope two in the next thirty odd years. I've seen my share of rattlers out in Oregon growing up. Great video even though I'm not fond of snakes. I'm allergic to bees too so I try and avoid them at all costs. Love you videos you do with Chill Bill Cheers! From NC Raleigh
Great video as always sir. Thank you. It was a relief to see you had some company with your lovely mates too especially with those snakes wriggling around. I don't know much about rattle snakes but those did not seem to do much rattling so I am guessing that they were less upset by you than you might have been by them! Anyway thanks again. Blessings and peace as always.
Lol I have to giggle when you talking about how old the marbles were. They came out in the late 1960s or early 70s. I'm 58 and around the age 10 or 11 played with those marbles. Lol I didn't know I was really older than I thought. If you ever want to get rid of any I'll take them for a collection. Wonderful video and God Bless. =)
Clay marbles were made around the 1890’s and they made them up until around the 1950s. Some were glazed. My brothers had the glass marbles in the 1950’s.
@@janriley4945 I never had a clay marble. I wish I have. No in the 70's I was an avid marble player. They all had a name for that type of marble. I loved it.
im sure this late in the game its been commented on already but the tool you found around 6min is a general-purpose scrapper, i wish i was there i see some interesting hints? it looks real old, and it looks like its not been in situ all that time, and it looks of a good quality though been utilitarian it can be made to varying qualities depending on need they can be whipped up in minutes this doesnt look like one of those quickly made on the spot type , this was made over hours and there even seems to be repaired, or it was actually used for another purpose[spear, axe] until it broke and then reshaped and repurposed into a scrapper but i cant be sure on any of it from so far
On another note, that style of house can be found all over Texas. Many are still in use in the East Texas area. An old timer once told me that a certain male builder traveled all over building that style and made it very popular about the turn of the century
WELCOME TO TEXAS NOGGIN would love to metal detect with you one day I had a Garrett pro 200 and a metal detector I had to sell them I needed money for my stepdad but I would get another one if I had the money but life sucks for me anyways right now
when i bought my house in rural East Texas, i was cleaning out around the house & found a 6 ft. long snake skin.....YIKES ! ......as i followed it i was thinking it could be a rattle snake skin.....no rattle or evidence......
Nugget!! All of those marbles were yours! Because you lost them looking for a snake! Why would you do that!? My heart almost stopped. You stayed away from the bees, but went for a snake. I was yelling at y'all to leave it alone.
You should get in contact with Brent Underwood from Ghost Town Living. He recently purchased the ghost town of Cerro Gordo in Inyo, CA area and it would be amazing if you guys connected and unearthed some amazing history together. Thanks for all you do, God bless.
Thanks Nugget , I love you're videos and you're truly one of a kind. God Bless you and you'll always have a place in my world when it comes to metal detecting , I love it
Haven’t ever been as tired as I was that night when we finally got home. What a great day, nice vid!
What kind of flashlights are those?!
I love how excited you all got over the marbles! I love finding marbles. My mom always said "if you find a marble, someone that has passed is thinking about you"💕
Nugget is right. Marbles are everywhere. I hike through woods and i once found an old green marble near an old bottle dump in the middle of nowhere.
Fun video! Thanks for sharing your adventure with us! Stay safe!

My family calls those crickets " mutant basement bugs". Lol My sister (who doesn't scare easily) is absolutely terrified of them.
Dang, some metal detecting, exploring, and herping all in one video! Good stuff, nice rattlers!

Those baby rattlers have the most potent venom. They're nothing to mess with! Love yourvideos!

I found a beautiful white quartz spearpoint under a 200 year old home last week while detecting.
So glad you guys didn't loose your marbles on this adventure!
1st snake 12 year old rattlesnake 2nd snake couldn’t really tell but 11-12 years old. You count the rattles on his tail to see how old he is.

It’s interesting that the cow bones were in such a straight line all spaced apart about the same space, don’t you think?

The piece of flint you found is a scraper native Americans used to scrape hides.
It's been awhile since I've been so excited by a marble, but there definitely was a time 😊

That's right! You have to get your coil over it then dig it to find it. Thanks for watching!
What a close encounter with a snake. Stay safe
the hogs have gotten so bad in Texas, the rattlers quit rattling so they dont get ate by the hogs.

What's Todd carrying? Looks like a Tarus Raging Hunter!
Wow that artifact is awesome!! You can see the worked edges very well! I would call that a base of a huge spear head!!
Keep digging my friend!
I love adventures like that, I live in Alabama and my Dad used to catch snakes for a hobby, but he would bring them home.
I guess I can take 'hiking in Texas' off my list of things to do. Rattlers & Scorpions & Bulls, oh my!!
Exactly!
Boys and their toys! Marbles! 🤗

Good luck guys
Small tip snakes spring 6 times their length. You should wear full chaps.

The piece of worked stone looks to be a hide scrapper. Just a thought?
