    What I like about the process is that if you had to present the concept at any stage, the idea would always read clearly. The repetition of shapes from the characters into the architecture really helps them belong together in the scene.

    god the way you do backgrounds is so inspiring!!! could you please do a video about how to start learning how to draw architecture? ive always wanted to do fun buildings like the one youve created among other things like fantasy styled towns but cannot for the life of me figure out how to start

      Thank you much! I will definitely get around to doing it at some point as Architecture design is one of my main loves. (Interestingly enough I started off doing characters and avoided doing backgrounds or anything with perspectives at all costs 🤣)

    My brother, this is so awesome I just subbed. I just bought myself an iPad so I could get back into drawing again and as an adult I’ve had the insight to understand to just throw myself into it just for the love of it. Not to compare myself etc, but just for the love of it and your creative process reminds me of what it was like being a kid, in the best way possible. Thinking about what would be cool and immersing yourself into the fantasy of it. I appreciate how you think and thank you for this video.

    This video is great and as someone who is learning art I think this video is very helpful and informative but I do have a little suggestion, I would love it if when you do another video like this you have a segment that showcases the layers, I would love to see how you manage your layers and what you use them for at some point. Anyway amazing video.

I am planning to set up a way that people can subscribe to get my PSDs and relevant resources at some points, which I think will be even more helpful. Do you have any tips for webtoon artists, like specifically when keeping in theme with dialogue and humor? And do you find any drawbacks to using procreate for comics or would you recommend more “professional” software?(procreate is actually pretty professional to me I think)

    • @jtuffdesigns
      @jtuffdesigns  Місяць тому

      While I have had a brief experience working on a webtoon, I can't say that I am experienced enough to give tips on your first question.
      When it comes to drawbacks of Procreate, it's not too great at handling large file sizes; the larger the file, the less layers you have. For efficiency, I think that using Photoshop or programs like Clip Studio Paint will still be more ideal options

    I noticed you used a hard pixel brush to ink your characters, I'm just wondering what your thought process was as to why you went with an aliased brush with jagged edges?

    • @jtuffdesigns
      @jtuffdesigns  29 днів тому

      It's actually one of the default Procreate Brushes, the HB pencil. I really like how that brush feels and on top of that, I like having a bit of a more traditional look to them (although I ended up just removing it lol)

    • @ForFunSuff-eu4pe
      @ForFunSuff-eu4pe 21 день тому

      @@jtuffdesigns Actually upon closer look the video, I realized the time-lapse playback makes it look Pixelated and aliased and the final render doesn't actually look like that. I guess when you watch your time-lapse on procreate it does some compression or something 😁
      If you look at the video at 18:00 vs 18:05 you can see what I mean

    • @jtuffdesigns
      @jtuffdesigns  21 день тому

      Ah that's right, the aliased look wasn't intentional then, definitely the Procreate compression! Wish they had the recording in HD as an option

      @@jtuffdesigns Thanks! That would be awesome! In an informal way of describing it, is like I don't know what colors I should pick... For example, I started an artwork with "greyish" colors as a base but when I added more color to each object in the composition, it started to feel wrong visually. Like the harmony of colors if you have a white house, a green garden, and a blue sky that are together; I know there's reflecting light that could make the house appear more blueish and at the same time to have a "yellowish" light because of the sun. But I can't come up with colors that are appealing to the eye and feels "correct" naturally. It would be great to have some tips about picking and fixing colors 🤩
