I gotta be honest, if all your videos are like this one you are by far the best to me when it comes to create hair tutorials that inspire beautiful, wearable hair. I've been watching this video over and over again and every time is a real pleasure. Keep up the beautiful work and please don't you never, ever change! And needless to say, you got a new subscriber. Thanks very much!
Thank you so much for your tutorial! I can't wait to try this technique! I've been out of a salon setting almost 3 years so I am a little out of the loop 😂
Personally, I would've liked longer shadow roots... And still THE COLORS ARE SOOO BEAUTIFUL!!!!! That's exactly the combination and nuance I want. Great technique, great job!!
Thank God you put this up! I've never gone through beauty school, but have dyed plenty of heads in the 20 years. I only dyed my own hair for he first time June 21 because my roots just went grey as he'll in the last 3-4 years. Anyways, I've only ever done single, whole head color. My sister in law knows this. I've dyed her hair quite a few times, so she knows I at least have the basics down solid, but she got this genius idea in her that she wants this done to her head! Only she wants me to use the Mystic Divine 6VV Violet Medium Brown demi permanent color for roots, that requires 2:1 10 volume developer:color ratio and 45 minutes procesing time, with some cheap neon pink semi permanent color from a local beauty supply store (not a chain, like local, privately owned and run, I'm sure everyone knows what kind of beauty supply store I'm talking about here) that requires hair to be damp and only has a 15 minute processing time! I'm over here shitting a brick, not wanting to screw up this girls hair, but not having a clue as to how to go about this with these two compleyely different dyes! 😕💩💩💩
HI Lexie.this is my fav video..what bleach did you use..what final toner did you use.I love this. PERFECT FOR FALL THIS YEAR. FORMULA PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE :-) :-) :-) :-)
Cynthia Lopresti the formula doesn’t matter as much as the technique, and the technique can vary depending on your client. I do this a lot with demi colors as well as color gels, or sometimes I will shadow root at the bowl after the balayage. The lightener I would do 30 volume with Olaplex
just ran across your video as I'm looking up vids cause I want my hair done like this and you did an amazing job!!!!! I'm in love hopefully I can find a good stylist like this to do mine!!! NEW SUB!! (: love how you don't ramble on its straight to the point and it came out beautiful!! I've had bad experiences with stylist never comes out like I want its like they don't listen to what I'm wanting!!!!
quick question is that just anormal comb your using as your finishing applying the root coloour and am i right in thinking your just doing it to blend more?
God😱 I am in love with your hair techniques. You nailed it girl super pretty and I love how you talk less and act magical unlike other you tubers who ramble on 🤐for hours
Except other youtubers write down everything used on description box to clarify I just came across her videos but it seems she can careless to say what she uses so a lot of comments ask but of course no answer so why bother doing “tutorials” if they are incomplete although she says what she used the info is parcial
How are you blending the root color into the highlights on the ends? Are you just feathering them together? I always struggle with getting my balayage blendy
Hi, you went with a bleach on the fresh brown, didn’t you get any warmth? Did you use permanent or Demi on the roots? What’s the developer strength you used for the bleach? Thanks!
So when rinsing out the hair... does any of the root colour run onto what you have lightened??? How would you avoid that happening? I always worry that say... a 6 on roots will grip to the bleached lifted area. Be interested to hear your answer.... tnx. Grt video.x
hi and thanks for your help, can you tell me the peroxide volume please and level of the natural base color she had sorry my English is terrible... thanks
Hey Lexi, I enjoy your tutorials. I am an at home stylist, and I'm wondering if you could give me a ballpark of how long it takes to do some of the multi step processes that so many people are requesting these days? Ex: color retouch for greys, then mix of foil hilites, and baliage hilites and lolites, followed by a toning process and cut and style. I feel like this takes me forever and with out being in a salon I have no one to compare myself to see if I'm way out of line. Thanks so much!
Hi Lexi. If I did the base colour with a permanent would the bleach not get through it even with a high peroxide? Or would up definitely recommend a semi/demi? Also if I use a semi would it wash out pretty quickly? Thanks! Love your work!
Lexi Dawn thank you! The client I'm doing wants a copper tone on the lightened parts so was thinking it might be okay if it was a warmer anyway? I'll have a look into semi/Demi colour though definitely as I always use permanent.
How do i do this if the root colour i have only has a 10min processing time and im doing highlights with the 20vol?? Can i put the highloghts in then roots afte?
It's a protective and nourishing oil that helps keep hair health throughout the lightening processing, even most box dyes have them to add to the formula..
I was completely blonde and decided to tone it down and go for a rooty balayage.... I have no complaints other than they teased the LIFE out of my hair and it has been 2 days and my headache will not go away. I wish my stylist would learn this technique instead. :( I do not think I will ever get this done again. It was painful lol
Lexi Dawn I have natural 1B colored hair. I want to do your balayage technique but with the roots black. Should I balayage first, then do the melting of the root? What’s the best way to get that look. Thanks in advance

Is her hair a level 6? Because if not it might not show up in her hair. Sometimes depending on hair color you will have to lighten it

You're right. I usually mute the video and just watch. For this one I didn't have to do it.
???
samiuel sami that music put me to sleep all 3 times I tried to watch! 😴 Did she leave the shadow root color in while balayaging the rest??
Cere' Reeves yes
Except other youtubers write down everything used on description box to clarify I just came across her videos but it seems she can careless to say what she uses so a lot of comments ask but of course no answer so why bother doing “tutorials” if they are incomplete although she says what she used the info is parcial

Hi, you went with a bleach on the fresh brown, didn’t you get any warmth? Did you use permanent or Demi on the roots? What’s the developer strength you used for the bleach? Thanks!

Super beautiful and so educational video, helped me so much thnx :)
What do u tone use plz
I'm going to be doing this but my client has bangs. What do you suggest?
What did you use to tone? It's beautiful!
What do use for clients with resistant gray hair.
So when rinsing out the hair... does any of the root colour run onto what you have lightened???
How would you avoid that happening?
I always worry that say... a 6 on roots will grip to the bleached lifted area.
Be interested to hear your answer.... tnx. Grt video.x
Looks so good!!! 😍After rinsing out the lightener did you tone that?

im not sure i've never used it.
Was going to do my hair and watched this and fell asleep from the music lol will try again later 🤣
haha I know its mesmerizing
Beautiful work!
Ma Colpitts b uhh just fcvfft6 y]79th
by bleaching over the color, it doesn't affect the results? ?? can we do this with any color? or just with the kind your using??
Great question, I was wondering the same thing
I think she put a toner over it to cancel it out
One more beautiful job, but the song scared me 😱😱😱😱😱
What colours are being used here on the root ans ends?
What lighter did you use
Did you tone it after the bleach??
Where Is your salon?

Buen video, Lástima que no compartes las fórmulas que usas
Great job, thank you
How did you wash it out of it not to blend on the blonde or does that not really matter
hi and thanks for your help, can you tell me the peroxide volume please and level of the natural base color she had sorry my English is terrible... thanks
+luz angelica Sanchez i used 20vol developer and her base was around a lever 6ish
You are not rinse the lightner?
Hello...I was wondering why you foiled so e of the hair together?
When do this. I get too much warmth. Level 5 20 vol (gray coverage) 20 vol. on the lightener too. Any suggestions?

Thanks so much! I appreciate you getting back to me. Knowing the real time of these services is very helpful!
love your videos girl!
espectacular
Hi Lexi. If I did the base colour with a permanent would the bleach not get through it even with a high peroxide? Or would up definitely recommend a semi/demi? Also if I use a semi would it wash out pretty quickly? Thanks! Love your work!
+Emilie Kerr the bleach would have a little harder time breaking through so it would be pretty warm. The demi color shouldn’t wash out too fast.
Lexi Dawn thank you! The client I'm doing wants a copper tone on the lightened parts so was thinking it might be okay if it was a warmer anyway? I'll have a look into semi/Demi colour though definitely as I always use permanent.

Wow! Love it girl....let me know why do you apply oil in hair please..m just beginner..thank u for share...

What volume? And what color for roots?
I was completely blonde and decided to tone it down and go for a rooty balayage.... I have no complaints other than they teased the LIFE out of my hair and it has been 2 days and my headache will not go away. I wish my stylist would learn this technique instead. :( I do not think I will ever get this done again. It was painful lol
Hey was wondering if you could explain to me the difference between matrix logics and matrix color sync? why do you prefer the logics line?
+kristen5988 I've only used the logics line. I just learned this line at a salon i used to work for.
kristen5988 ColorSync works perfectly too!!
What do you think of doing the roots first, let process , wash, dry and then do the regular balayage afterwards?
You can do that for sure it will just take you longer to complete the service.
Lexi Dawn I have natural 1B colored hair. I want to do your balayage technique but with the roots black. Should I balayage first, then do the melting of the root? What’s the best way to get that look. Thanks in advance
What shade of the color top and color shade down?
Is the root color permanent or Demi? Love your video ❤️
Love your videos... Could this be done with permanent color on the roots on a 50% grey client with no problem or do u still recommend Demi color.
+TheShygrul it's really hard to lift through permanent color but you could try
and how did you tone the blonde parts? would a wella toner (for example t11 with 10vol developer) lift the dark parts?
+Laura Bársony Im not really sure about wella. I've never worked with it. I use shades eq
