I executed the best balyage ombré of my career yesterday thanks to watching your toutorial! It turned out amazingly. Thank you! I love your videos! You make them easy to watch
Literally love the fact that you didn’t just fast forward and skip everything. You allowed us to watch you and I was so intrigued. My husband said he kept trying to get my attention and I was in a daze watching your video lol. You make it look so easy!
Lexi, yet another great and to the point video! You inspired me to actually go buy a paint brush for hair painting and what a difference it makes in blending! Home Depot had a few and they're dirt cheap! Keep those videos coming!
I am impressed with your talent. I have been in the business for 35 years. You are delightful! I enjoy the music. It keeps me focused. The other upbeat music distracts me. But I am 53 years old ! Thanks for the great technique!
lexi dawn, I love me some you! your awesome music, voice, and stellar tutorials, just everything. thank you for all of your works. you are fantastic💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Amazing work! I love the end result and I appreciate you showing the technique without talking ""100 miles per minute" like every other video I have watched on balayage! beautiful work, and thanks for posting.
Hi! Would this technique work on very long hair too? My hair is hip length and I got it done at a salon and it looks like an ombre with strange streaks at the top, I don't think they know what balayage is
Hi Lexus. Love this. I think I can actually do this my self..1.could not understand the toner please let me know..2. what is the best way to comb this out after..my hair is about this color with some hiighlites..but my roots 75& white. what is the best to cover gray for a natural med blonde. I do like ash on me at all. xxxxooooooo
Hi I am intrigued by the use the surface hydrating oil in the lightener. Have you done the product review that you mentioned in another video yet please
Hi Lexi! I really love your tutorials, thanx for sharing!! Did you use a toner? Can I get a perfect blonde only using purple shampoo even if the client hair is dark brown? Or do I need to tone?
How on earth do u get those teasing knots out tho?!?! I’ve seen videos on this technique a lot but NOBODY addresses the knot issue with the teasing...??? Esp on textured hair..?!?!
I wouldn't tease if my client had textured hair I only tease if I know it will brush out easily. What I do is i rinse all the lightener out and get the tease wet. Then I put the step 2 for the redken ph bonder on all over. Then I take a wet brush and section by section I slowly brush out the tease. It usually takes only about 10min to get it all out.
The brush is a standard “chip” brush. You can get them at Home Depot, Lowe’s, etc. too. They work really well, and make the whole technique go much faster. ☺️
Hi, thanks for the quick and easy video. Can I do this process on natural dark brown hair? How long should I leave the bleach in for and what toner would you suggest considering I want to avoid any red/ copper or orange tones? Thank you x
+sashiez1 you can totally do this on darker brown hair. Just watch the bleach and don’t lift it to over process it. Then depending on what tone it’s at use a owner with an opposite color (red and green, orange and blue)
Hi! This was many years ago so I wouldn’t be able to tell you exactly what I did cause I don’t remember. And unfortunately I’ve never used wella so I wouldn’t be able to give you a good answer for that.
love this quick and easy what products do you use can you explain please also the exact owner did you put it all over the head or did you just use it on the parts you highlighted
+Jennifer Jahns good question. Usually when I tease I don't want to have the lightener go too high up on the head. When I paint I usually want the lightener to go all the way up or close to the top of the head.
Beautiful color! I just love balayage! I use those same foils and I like them but the box is so annoying! They don't always pops out and then you have to dig the get them out again. I see you must have that problem too because you ripped the box like I do! 😂
Hi, can you tell me what the backcombing does? I know the end result is gorgeous but I just wanted to know what it is that the backcombing does specifically?
Lexi Dawn can you tell me how you’re filming the sides parts please. How and where did you attach your camera please explain as I need this too. Thanks in advance. X
Miramelody,I think the music is what's known as Sleep music 528 hertz,if you google this you will find a whole load of this music with different hertz levels, some is for yoga nidra and stilling the mind.
Hey darling , how you doing ? Can you show us what kind of products or toners do you use. I love so much your technique, but I have so many questions about how to use, for beige, or super platinum or just a little bit brow. Do you mix brands, or follow straight way once If is possible I would like to know more about it. 😜
Her hair combs out so easy that I didn't really need to detangle it it just kinda did it on its own. I usually brush out the tease with conditioner before shampooing.
Hi Lexi. I'm new to this style. Please explain why you teased the hair first. ....and no gloves with this chemical? Thanks for the inspiration. I am going to give this a try.
Why do you need to do the tizzing? I just had balayage ,and it was the most horrible experience just because of that tizzing. When they washed my hair they combed it so she can get rid of the tizzing,...horrible.My hair was all damaged in the end and broken!
Sunamith same here. Just due to this teasing I had a worst hair fall during this whole process. Now I m regretting my decision. Will never get this done again in my life ever.
This is my go to method when adding highlights. It is foolproof and it gives very natural results. Thank you for sharing!
This is perfect for someone who wants a balayage but not too much going on. Thanks!

Perfect!!
Do you have a tutorial where you do base color and balayage at the same time?
+Yessica Munoz yes I do!
Mam.can you teach how to do.the balyage at same time with basic color.tnx a lot
Just go through with a semipermanent tonal gloss. Like a 7n, and than throw the toner on the ends.
Hi Lexi! I really love your tutorials, thanx for sharing!! Did you use a toner? Can I get a perfect blonde only using purple shampoo even if the client hair is dark brown? Or do I need to tone?
Arianny Perfect blonde with no toner in really dark hair not gonna happen ever 😕
How on earth do u get those teasing knots out tho?!?! I’ve seen videos on this technique a lot but NOBODY addresses the knot issue with the teasing...??? Esp on textured hair..?!?!

Hi mam.how to aply the tone if the color result is they have a red.in orange..can i put oxygen.tnx in advance for the reply..mam
I saw you were using matrix lightener and redken ph bonder. Just curious you can use Redken ph bonder with any lightener?
Emily Adams I feel like u could? I mean u can mix in oleplex or Brazilian bonder with any type of light we. Maybe it’s just the brand
Did you leave certain hair pieces out or you did every piece? Also would using wella toners make a difference?
+Cynthia Lopresti all the products I used are pictured at the beginning of the video. I'm not sure what you mean though by the exact order.
Lexi Dawn I think she was trying to say toner and the correct put automatically owner

Those craft brushes are called chip brushes!👍🏼
MikeBArtistry very cool. I try it now!!! :-)
how do you decide when you're going to tease the base and when not to?
+Jennifer Jahns good question. Usually when I tease I don't want to have the lightener go too high up on the head. When I paint I usually want the lightener to go all the way up or close to the top of the head.
Excellent!!

I LOVE your vídeos
Great Job!!!!!

Hi, can you tell me what the backcombing does? I know the end result is gorgeous but I just wanted to know what it is that the backcombing does specifically?
It separates the hair more so it blends easier. Makes it less likely for you to end up with a blunt line where the colors transition.

Gud job...grt result...was just wondering how you dealt with the backcombed hair...I mean detangling it..
+Gitanjali Mehra in my Q and A video I explain how I brush it out!
♥️♥️
Are you leaving any of the hair out I can’t tell
👌
How does the hair not tangle when you back comb and then shampoo?
Her hair combs out so easy that I didn't really need to detangle it it just kinda did it on its own. I usually brush out the tease with conditioner before shampooing.
Hi Lexi. I'm new to this style. Please explain why you teased the hair first. ....and no gloves with this chemical? Thanks for the inspiration. I am going to give this a try.
teasing gives you incredible blend from root to ends. i did use gloves because i wasn't actually touching the bleach with my hands
what lightner do you use? +hairbylexi
+Diana10XO Michel this was matrix light master with 20vol
Sos una genia !!
what's a easy process for combing the teased hair out
+Maronda Giles i just put conditioner on it and use a wet brush

How can anyone stand the pain?
Thank you for sharing your techniques! I'm a future professional at Paul Mitchell the school Houston
Why do you need to do the tizzing? I just had balayage ,and it was the most horrible experience just because of that tizzing. When they washed my hair they combed it so she can get rid of the tizzing,...horrible.My hair was all damaged in the end and broken!

Beautiful end result. Nice technic!
What did you use to film this?
+meghannmariexx18 my iPhone
Hi Lexie. Quick ?? How long to wait after to being can I re.bleach again.
that all depends on how healthy your hair is
Lexi Dawn not bad no bleach 6 months. Just toner.
hermosos
This hurts when you need to coumb it out! I had pain for two hole days in my head.
is it neccessary to backcomb the hair?
+Chey Cheyenn (Cheyenne) you don't have to. That's just the technique I decided to use.
Lexi Dawn okay thanks !
Beautiful! Can you share pricing info?
+Belinda Cordi yeah I'm going to be filming a pricing and business video soon I think.
Ok great! I want to try doing balayage highlights at my salon but don't know how much to charge.
