      Same!!! It's literally a root smudge and picking some pieces with it... Absolutely doing this!!! Looks flipping amazing (and so much easier than 99.9% of the other tutorials)

    omg. as a hair stylist who tends to way over complicate things for myself, thank you so much for this.

    Wow this is such a great simple technique for someone who wants to do this on themselves. I'm ordering some supplies now~ Going to remove the existing color, bleach the regrowth, then add a reverse balayage using 3N with a few red color drops so the brown doesn't turn into a hallow green, using this technique. Then I'll be adding a T86 toner to the ends. Wish me luck! Ill post an update when it's done 😊

    • @MaddyMews
      @MaddyMews 20 днів тому

      @@brittney1525 Oh my gosh it was a lot harder then I thought, even with a double mirror. The front sections came out perfect, but the backs a little wonky. Also accidently got some 3n demi permanent on the ends UGH. Just have a friend help for the back bc wow it's not easy. Overall it came out okay, just had to do some correction on the ends.

    Thank you for not just fast forwarding through the application, I loved that you took us with you as you applied and explained what you were doing! Even though it’s fast paced it’s easy to follow! 🎉

    You did a beautiful job with that. I've been thinking of doing a reverse Balayage on my own hair I'm trying to get a younger look I've always dyed my hair blonde and it would grow out looking like a Balayage but now I'm older and it looks gray plus it's all getting really thin I was thinking adding a dark Balayage warm Brown would make me look younger. But I don't know if I have the stamina to do it myself. I don't have one of those brushes I had a ton of them but they're all in storage now and I was wondering if I could just do it with my fingers

    Use a product to make the color acidic like Megix 10 Morph that way it will be easier to lighten when it grows out

      @PaulWattsHair I hope you don't mind me asking, I'm a natural level 4 I've grown my hair to shoulders I've bleached it to the same level on your maniquen, I want to add dark blonde as highlights would a level 8 work with level 4 ? I was thinking of using redken shades 8n and 8vb. Would that be a good mix? Level 4 is my natural that's not been bleached.

    If I was to go darker with NN and V from level 8 lifted with grey hair and add purple and fuschia on ends would you rinse and then apply flash colors. Or would you apply the colors at the same time as the permanent

    • @MaddyMews
      @MaddyMews 4 місяці тому

      I would rinse the NN first, dry, then add the purple and fuchsia after. Just because the NN probably has a 20-30 min process, and you could leave the fashion colors on as long as you want since it's a non damaging/conditioning stainer. I usually leave fashion colors in for an hour just to make it as vibrant as possible.

    • @Handsoflight7766
      @Handsoflight7766 2 роки тому

      It wouldn’t be on long enough to tone the hair unless it’s a much darker color use conditioner on the ends to prevent bleeding
