In 1995 I stole a demo CD-ROM from an open magazine package and discovered that two audio tracks were coded into it. It was obviously game music and I loved it; incredible compositions with a modern, electro-urban edge. Hearing those tracks put me on a path to become a synth musician myself and I'll always be grateful for the promo department guy who loaded all those primitive video clips and game traders onto a disc and thought it would be cute to add some soundtrack bits just to fill the end of the disc. @@kinggoten I personally do not think it is a mistake to not include Clans for BattleTech/MW5. This is something really special. It touches so many nerves in a new and refreshing way, just like the tracks on the original album did all those long years ago. I was in the same boat, funny enough, and MechWarrior's rich lore and stories about overcoming darkness and incredible adversity being worth all of the pain and anguish endured during the fight, really helped me through some weirdly dark times in my gradeschool and highschool years. It bears admission that I'm mildly autistic and was undiagnosed at that time, which made even simple and stupid social interactions miserable, but I was also bullied pretty badly to add insult to injury. Being much better adjusted these days, I don't have a lot of nostalgia for much of anything other than MechWarrior from that time, particularly 2 and 4, but the recent loss of my job and the resulting feelings of powerlessness are dredging up some bad memories. This sounds soooo good. It relaxes my mind. Very sublime.
The community really loves this album because almost every BattleTech lore video uses something from this
This is just great.
Your work is simply amazing. Cheers from Brazil!
Haha Large Pulse Laser go brrrr.
So glorious!!!!!
Fantastic remake, man. This is one of those times where I'm frustrated I can only like a video once.
Great work!
Outstanding! I'm another MW2 player from back in the day. I absolutely love what you've done with the music.
Hello friend
One Word: WOW! Great Job on making thoses already awesome tracks even more awesome!!
If you are doing any more of these (or have any work tracks still around) I would absolutely love an extended "Arkham Bridge" with more development (or even just extension) of the first half, ie, the bit containing the repeating overture in the original piece that creates the determined, unstoppable feeling. Starts at about 12:54 here.
Holy F. This is amazing. Please do MW5 soundtrack. Even if you have to sell it on the side (USB please!) - this needs to happen. Perhaps Kelly, Greg, Jeehun could help you? This is very important. We need MW to get what DOOM got. A true single player revival.
Really nice work, Timothy Seals.
One of the things I loved doing [mw2] was just sitting there no sound no music. Just listening for the foot steps of my enemy which would sound off before you could see them. face them, then turn the music and battle sounds back on. I still listen to the original on my Phone at work now and then. I have about 5 tracks I really like. Heat spike Detected... I"M OUT!
