- Since starting Futurescapes, I've had a lot of people liken my music to the Mass Effect series (among others) which is awesome! So, I want to start creating some videos to intentionally offer that vibe. Mass Effect is huge, both in popularity and content, and I hope to inspire all my listeners who love the series. I hope you enjoy it!
Please help my channel by sharing, liking, commenting and subscribing!
See you in the next one!

Welcome to Futurescapes! Enjoy this Mass Effect inspired video!
Would you be willing to share how you get that synth bass?
Sure! It's a warm Bass synth sound with a medium attack and release, a bit of saturation and reverb, and the important part is having it in legato mode with a tiny bit of glide so it quickly slides between the notes :) @@mordekaihorowitz
@@Futurescapes-SciFiAmbience Much obliged!
@@Futurescapes-SciFiAmbience Your bass reminded me a little of the bass from one of the soundtracks from the game Atomic Heart. ua-cam.com/video/7b4YV3_omio/v-deo.html
@@Daniel48476 Oh ya! Amazing soundtrack :)
I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite Mass Effect inspired ambient space music on the Citadel.
We'll bang okay?!
Thank you for your many sacrifices, Commanded Shepard 🫡
Some of the looks I get when I tell people that THIS is the sort of music I'm into is very amusing. I pity them. This is dynamite content.
Haha thank you! I get the same when I tell people what I do on UA-cam. I get a lot of “and people are into that?” 😂
Thank god someone else deals with this too! I get the most confused expressions when I tell people I listen to ambient music. It's pretty awesome though👌👌👌
People laugh because I'm different. I laugh
at them because they're all the same.

If you like this.. maybe you have heard of it... but if not,, he makes also this kind of music he is called Spacemind ( I love Moonsong especially), but the other tracks are great also... Hope you like it!! Greetsz from The Netherlands 👽👽👽👽
I love that bass sound that arrives later
Beautiful video 😊😊 To the kind soul who's taking the time to read this, my sincerest wishes for a life abundant in tranquility, prosperity, and everlasting health. ❤
I‘ve lost count on how many times I‘ve played Mass Effect. This series is something special. The characters are so well designed. And I enjoyed Andromeda, too. It‘s a bit of a shame I think that we won‘t see those characters for another game! Thanks for this track!
You never know. I heard ME4 might bring some of them back.
@@andrewchr This will be interesting, I guess, when the original trilogy and Andromeda will meet. Who do you think it will be? My first guess would be Peebee, which would make sense age-wise if the game is set far into the future. I also saw a figure that‘s reminiscent of Jaal on one of the posters, which would be cool as he‘s one of my favourite characters in Andromeda!
@@norgeball3971Can't say for sure, but I read that since ME4 will take into account the Destroy ending timeline, the Galaxy now will have to reinvent new FTL technology since Mass Relays got wrecked, and that's where Liara comes in using Geth tech (that was originally used to allow travelling between galaxies in Andromeda) and that's where we'll possibly see Andromeda characters (Peebee as you said) or even have the ability to travel between Galaxies at one point in the game, either at the end or from the start, depending on the narrative. Hopefully all this becomes true.
@@andrewchr That sounds really interesting, let‘s hope it turns out to be as good as all the games so far! Considering your input, this would mean the beginning would be set right after the destroy ending took place (I never took that route myself but I see why this would be canonized): so at that time, only Drack and Peebee could have been born already as they‘re Krogan/Asari, or am I going wrong here? (I think the trilogy was set in 2180-something, while Andromeda is set in 2800-something right?)
I don‘t know about how long it will take Liara to make intergalactic travel possible. It is implied however in the trailer, that she could be way older in the new game than she was in the original trilogy
Listened 5 times so far, great work music.
This is the best sci-fi ambience track I've ever heard.
Thanks glad you like it!
Yoo Chill, even outside of being another huge ass Mass Effect fan, this is SO GOOD!
Thanks glad you like it!
Just what I wanted, thank you for this one
Yessir, another Mass Effect like banger!🔥🔥
I can't stop listening. It's so good!
"Can it wait a minute? I'm in the middle of some Mass Effect Musical Calibrations..."
:D
gute Arbeit, inspirierend - danke
great track
Chilling in space. Nice!
I may be an old man, but I know something about Harmony. I have to say, simply first class. Have you ever thought about tuning your sounds to 432Hz. The fundamental frequency of the universe. The difference is barely audible, but it touches the soul and the spirit. I would look forward to the experiment and your realization.
Greetings from Germany
Thomas
Thank you! I haven't thought about it much as I haven't looked into the concept very much. So thank you for the suggestion, I'll look into it and maybe try it out! :)
Ah one of my favourite sci-fi series, great job on this one. You could slot this track right into any of the games and it would be perfectly.
Thank you Starbase!
So relaxing ! Can't stop listening to this music on my days off and I love the animation spaceship. Those vibes inspire my creativity and imagination. Also help to get a good night of sleep after a long work day.
Thank you! So glad you’re enjoying it :)
I love this music
I love this, helps me focus when studying and for some reason I just really like this music. I suppose I like the mysterious and sci-fi feeling it gives off, and naturally I like mysterious things.
Glad you’re enjoying it and find it helpful! :)
Keep making this, this is right type of track I always look for when working!
Will do! :)
nice one lets goooooo
❤❤good Time.
Gorgeous and calm, with a hint of mystery. Beautiful track, sir. I appreciate your music as always! Never played Mass Effect before, but I've heard good things.
My friend you should pick it up.... the journey is great
Like administration process complete. 👍
Subbed.
☕
This music will bring Commander Shepard back.
Amoooo ambientação espacial 😍👽🎃👏👏👏
Very nice, great work on the bass synth
Thanks!
Hey, just as soon as I complete outfitting my ship and head out of the solar system Im adding this to my enroute playlist on lazer bubble disc!
Thank you! Safe travels! 😁
น่าทึ่งมาก โคตรชัดเจน
This Bass part is making my table shake! I love it!!!
I am a Psy music producer, and I wonder, how do you approach a one-hour track like this!?! Would you recommend any tutorials I could watch?
Your tunes are amazing! Keep it up! 👽👾🤖
That’s awesome! Haha I don’t have any tutorials in mind but I’m planning on making some educational material in the near future :) but I’ll say it’s all about finding the right sounds that have the right mood, then weaving them in and out at a comfortable pace. Keeping the whole thing in 1 key, with the pads droning the same chord the whole time, then things like bass and chords can play anywhere along the timeline and it will work with the other elements. It’s like a puzzle haha
@@Futurescapes-SciFiAmbience Thank you for the reply! Now you have me intrigued. Please do educational stuff in the future. I would love to see your workflow and inspiration.
Danke!
Wow thank you so much for your generousity! It means a lot to me that there are people like you whoe love and enjoy what I do. Your support is extremely appreciated! Thank you! 🙏🏻😊
for me, this and sub zero are maybe the best (haven't heard all of them). 1hr 30min format would also be nice
Thanks to youtube i just found this channel and music here is amazing. Thank you. 💖🌠🇷🇺
I just opened my galaxy map.
Hope you get picked up by some game developers in the future bro, good work.
Thanks! I compose for games full time actually :)
ty my ADHD and ASD are very quiet now, and my brain shut down ;-)*💋
Awesome! You’re very welcome :)
just what I, a ceberus agent, need to unwind after completing a morally reprehensible mission for the good of humanity
Could easily pass as Mass Effect galaxy map music
Please give it a try and play Fallout 4 to this.. Building in Vault88 - thanks for this great moment! ^^
Awesome! You might enjoy my most recent Fallout video then! Happy gaming :)
❤❤❤😮🎉😊❤
Sounds more like Blade Runner to me. Well, you *did* have "Relaxing" in the title.
Where's the Virmire Ride, or *anything* near or over 100BPM? (Around 19:00, and 33:00, it started to sound like you were warming up to something.)
But very, very nice Vangelisian patches and composition.
If I had to guess, I would say Mass Effects soundtrack was heavily influences by Blade Runner.
@@evancombs5159 Oh, ME2 definitely is. Jack Wall and Sam Hulick were asked to take it in that direction, particularly in light of the cyberpunk dystopia that Omega was supposed to be. You can certainly hear Vangelisian echoes in Mordin and other tracks. It's a pity Jack opted out for ME3, but Sam was still a big part of the music team!
Would have any advice on where to start on getting into composing music like yourself?
I don't even know where to begin.
For sure! You’ll need a computer and a midi keyboard, then you’ll need a DAW (there are free ones like Reaper). Then you’ll need a variety of instrument VSTs and FX plugins. Though if you go with a DAW like Logic Pro X it comes with everything you’d need to get started. Then honestly look up beginner tutorials on UA-cam. It’s one of the best ways to learn :) I hope that helps point you in the right direction!
Sure does, thanks man. @@Futurescapes-SciFiAmbience
This is what legion heard when he went to sleep...
We'll Bang, ok?
This is closer to subnautica than mass effect
Im listening to this and thinking, that has to be a MOOG for the bass. HAS to be. Mother32? Sub73? I know that sound.
Some of them are Alchemy that comes with Logic Pro and some are Dune from Synapse Audio :)
But you’re right, they are very moog like. That’s why I love those sounds!

your images were made with ai?
Ya I generate them with Midjourney
@@Futurescapes-SciFiAmbienceHmm, I figured. they was very good
mass effect isn't huge anymore buddy. The last real game was over a decade ago. Though I'd encourage people to play ME3 Multiplayer. Its a 10 wave horde mode and most builds are viable. You get to play as every race in the known galaxy, even collectors and geth juggernauts. For some stupid reason they removed this huge replay value feature from the "legendary edition" and saw it as no big deal. Even went so far as to remove that version from all storefronts. Even the old trilogy collection that was a far better value for your money with mods than the "legendary edition" some SJW's just made to put on their resume and say "I WERKED ON DA MESS EFFECT".
Boring God emperor commander admiral leader of the fleet shepard who can just "no u" death multiple times was just not as fun to play as a turian havoc infiltrator who couldn't just come back from death outside of a small handful of medigel packs and a teammate reviving them. But would still remain dead if they were executed. There were actual stakes in ME3MP and the campaign was just so bad people still only refer to the game by the ending despite everything else being fun and some weird murmurs about the entire staff of ME2 leaving during ME3's development.
cool
