I can't leave for 1 week without having casualties despite filling up everything before leaving. 😢
My begonia drinks her reservoir in less than a week and will self destruct upon spending 1 day without water. Living in Quebec, it gets super dry in winter in my house, then I gotta heat to not die and leaves gets crispy, humidity just doesn't stay. I have decided that for next winter I will buy a grow tent and shove all my plants in there to hopefully have a better control over the humidity levels and temperature. Loosely grouping my plants isn't enough...

Currently away for a month and I’m missing my collection. 😂 Your plants are doing so well after getting rid of the pests. Well done, your patience and diligence paid off!

Hi Emma, I'm so envious of your jungle cacti!
I noticed how you said that you liked the IDEA of having the Hoya Obovata, and not that you liked your Hoya Obovata. I would say that's a clear sign that you don't enjoy the plant itself as much as you think. Your doing a wonderful job of downsizing your collection, but enjoying the idea of having something rather than enjoying the thing itself, could be a sign of a hoarding issue. If you find yourself struggling, please remember that you don't have to struggle alone. It might be good idea to contact a therapist who specializes in these kinds of issues.
I'm probably overstepping, but I wanted to say something because I care.
Hopefully I didn't offend you, and if I did, I apologize sincerely.
    Love from across the Chanel!

I think I more meant I was to have a big obovata in my collection but as it stands right now I’m not as drawn to it.. but some plants take patience and I’m willing to wait.
So far I have downsized quite a lot this year so I’m not too worried about it being an issue. Thanks for your concern though 🥰

Awwww I drove to KY to watch the eclipse! Accidentally ended up in Indiana though because the park we were going to watch from was closed due to being at capacity. It’s very cool that you got to experience it 😊

I would combine your 2 Dubia together and continue with the goal to grow them to fenestrate. I really think that would be a neat journey to watch and you would feel very accomplished. I just took mine off a plank and gave it a proper moss pole. Here's hoping mine grows!

    • @GoodGrowing
      @GoodGrowing  3 місяці тому +1

yeah I feel like that's the easiest option, & then extend the moss pole further... because it would be cool to get it to that point! good luck with yours as well!

Emma, you have really cool T-shirt :-) I like the design of your merch very much 🙂
I´m intrigued by seeing that you are growing cacti in pon. I´d like to try it too, but with cacti, how do I know when it´s time to water them (if it pot is not transparent)? Any advice on that? I´m a cacti mass-murderer, but I think this could perhaps work better 🤔

aww thank you! I did a video recently about why/how I keep my cacti in pon, so go have a look at that 😉

Hi, did you know that after repotting Alocasia one should not water immediately and let them stand for some day without watering? I learnt from jungle leafes a German plant shop that they do that I personally have not tried yet.

My pallidiflorum latest leaf is almost 2 metres long. It breaks my heart. I am running out of places to put it but I am so afraid of chopping it 😢

Wait did you buy another fern leaf cactus or is that whole hanging plant from the one cutting you had before? I have a good sized one but the seller gave me a bunch of large cuttings, more than I ordered. Mine hasn't been growing THAT fast, although it's been getting established still I guess.

I ended up getting a second one around March last year
