I was scared to get a Euphorbia too. But got a lactea 'ghost' this past year and it's been my easiest plant. I've taken so many cuttings and they root so easily too. I love it!
I just gave my daughter a Hoya Wilber Graves for Christmas. I got it off of Etsy from a seller in Texas so I got it relatively quick since I am in Tx also!
I get the "no buy" goal. Sometimes it is necessary stop and take care of the plants already acquired. Often it's also need the planters, soils, fertilizers, lights etc be able to care for them before acquiring more. Wishlist is up in the air... I like flowers so hoyas and orchids, but I like leafy greens too.
Root houseplants have a good hoya selection, probably the best i have come across in the UK 'shop' wise. Also lots of hoya groups on Facebook have people willing to sell snips in spring:)
Love your wishlist for 2024! I recently got my Variegated Alocasia Macrorrhiza for a VERY reasonable price and it's already pushing out a new leaf that looks like it's gonna be huge! Def get one if you can, they are STUNNING!!! So I'm on a plant ban (self imposed too) for the whole of 2024 so that I don't get overwhelmed (unless I get rid of some and just replace those with new wishlist plants). But I am trying VERY HARD to remain content with what I have and not go overboard. All the best with it Emma 🥰👌🏼
I thought I'd start my experience with anthuriums with some of the strappy leafed ones, I have Anthurium Vittarifolium and Anthurium villenaorum, as we're just into summer I'm really looking forward to seeing them size up 🤞🏻🤞🏻 I LOVE my Alocasia Macrorrhiza Variegata - I bought a baby plant, there were 3 plants in the pot and a corm and they're all growing well. While I'm not a fan of cacti or euphorbia, I do like your variegated one and I think even I would buy the ghost - so unusual!
I tried plant banning myself when winter started in Canada but I broke it like a month later 😂 oops. Eh stuff happens though. Hope everything in your collection is going well after the treatment, I know soon you’ll have great plants in no time. ☺️
it happens to the best of us!! you can always try again 🤷♀️ and thanks! I think things are perking up again since the treatment.. probably will do it again just in case 🤞
I have a dragons breath and it is really a great plant. The stems are not terribly long, but the leaves are....and so silver, thin and pointed. Also the leaves themselves are thicker than a lot of Alocacia. I also love the hoya polyneura and wanted a varigated one until I heard they trip nectar. I gave away 2 heart leaf hoyas, plain and outer varigated because it dripped so bad when blooming.
Interesting about the hoyas and how hard they can be to find/how expensive. I am in Canada and I have Rangsan Splash, and five or six different polyneuras, and Wilbur Graves too. Very partial to the silvering on hoyas, and I think I'm up to...um...45 now! Good luck resisting til March, and good luck cleaning up your pest problems.
You can find the Hoya Kerrii in the United Statesin South Florida at an exotic plant store called The Perfect Choice. I bought two variegated ones for $10 each about two. months ago.
I actually got two ariegated euphorbia for littarly 20 euros second hand so if you really want a plant second hand is such a good option cuz u find way bigger/older plants voor cheaper which is a win win right? ❤
To put a plant on a wishlist after first seeing is not a Bad Thing for me. Overthinking before buying is the key and with that you did a good job. So dont judge so hard for not Liking a plant anymore after Putting it on a wishlist
@@mirandamilburn129thank you! They do look so similar to me. Everytime the philodendron pops up in a video I’m like I have that plant but as it turns out I don’t 😅
What's y'all's favorite crawling aroid? I just got one of those rectangle pots for Christmas so now I need the best one 😂 I don't have any yet, the McDowell is calling me tho....
This was my first winter with alocasias and anthuriums/velvet philodendrons. That's why my wishlist is mainly to get a good growlight set up so I won't have to shift them around when summer hits and or so my cats only get to the not sensitive ones 😅
yess! good grow lights make such a difference! I have international discount codes for several of the ones I use so worth checking those out in the description of this video! maybe that'll help the cost a bit
@@GoodGrowing Currently I'm working with two Sansi 15w grow bulbs for 13€ each in Lamps I already had at home, but thanks for the reply and the suggestion 😉👌
Heart Philo Vareigated Plant needs some sunshine for a little bit. I have a small one. However, it has varigation because it gets full morning sun.
ooh thanks for the tip!
my wishlist for 2024 is to not have root mealybugs
😂
same 😅
Can’t agree more 😂
Still so obsessed with your variegated Euphorbia, I love that it is more minty than white
Yess I’m obsessed with it too!

I canceled the order, Its getting cold.

@@GoodGrowing Yeah... next year!! Happy Goodness Next Year For You!!!
I as well am going to hold off buying any plants until the last week of March. Yes, we can do it! Right? Right!!!
I believe in us!!
Go for a small Zebrina! Mine grew super fast under a grow light & on a heat mat! Maybe it’s the TPS Silica and CalMag..
maybe I need to get myself some TPS & CalMag 🤔
I like that scindapsus dark satin

The thing I love about my Apoballis Lavallaei is the dark purple backs and stems, but it isn’t super easy care.
The blades and thorns of the succulents are actually modified leaves
ooooh the more you know! thanks
Cool picks !! Thanks for sharing !
Do you think the variegated heart leaf will ever be sold in bigger pots? Like 4 in. I just know I wouldn’t be successful with only a few cuttings

We have such similar taste in plants! If I lived in the UK I feel like we'd be doing a lot of swaps 😂
yes!! come to the UK so we can!

Yes I defo overthink before I make any purchases, especially big ones!
Hej Emma, is the variegated heartleaf philodendron the same plant as the Marble Queen? Or is that something totally different?
Marble Queen is a pothos, so different from variegated heartleaf philo

Dean McDowell for sure!
I love my gloriosum personally but the mcdowell is also a gorgeous one
Dean mcdowell for sure

There are so many I removed from my wishlist because I know they're thirsty and light specific.
